  1. Luton doing the double over us as it stands. It's pathetic really. This squad with this manager will be fighting relegation next season
  2. How does that work? Have to say, 648 looks right
  3. Watford changed manager 4 times in the season they got promoted to Premier League and have regularly swapped managers since, proving you don't need Mowbray-type "stability" to make progress. I don't care about them though. The point is Pearson is back on the market, he's miles better than Mowbray and if we were ambitious we should be approaching him
  4. Hands up who'd kick out Mowbray and bring in Pearson?
  5. Spoke too soon! Hope they stay up.
  6. Barnsley rock bottom and losing in their final game. They beat us easily 2-0 a few weeks ago
  7. Watford about to sack Pearson, according to the BBC. Seems daft in my book but Watford seem to change manager every 5 minutes. Pearson's a man who knows how to win promotion from the Championsip and is a definite upgrade on Mowbray. Like Warnock, a no-brainer to me....
  8. Luton pulled off a must win victory yesterday and they’ll do the same against us. I can’t see any way we will win this as we always fold against teams with strong desire and will to win - examples since lockdown being Wigan and Barnsley Luton 2 Rovers 0 to complete a double for the Hatters and demonstrate why this season has been so disappointing yet again when a top 6 place should have been achievable in a poor division
  9. In the old days I'm sure these played together at some stage Bray Clayton England Newton Wilson All home grown
  10. No way. It wouldn't be a surprise if the Rovers base crowd has shrunk to about 5,000 as a result of the pandemic. People's lives have changed - they've found other things to do, got out of the football habit, realised football doesn't really matter, and that not going to watch Tony Mowbray's misfits makes them happier.
  11. Roy Keane v Graeme Souness would have been interesting if their careers had crossed. Broken legs all round. Says it all that I'd rather we kept Tony Mowbray than had Keane as manager
  12. Millwall's first home win in a long time. Good old Rovers. We're 12th out of 24.....absolutely average in an very average division.
  13. Mid-table team going neither up nor down goes through motions in order to fulfill end of season fixture. Fair summary?
  14. Far too highbrow for this place
  15. This is a 6-pointer game Win and we're 1 point ahead of Millwall, lose and we're 5 points behind them. Not that you'd know it from Mowbray's Rovers Millwall in joint 6th and playoff place as it stands
  16. how do you have half a goal?
  17. I was standing. No one sat down at football in those days Hull holding out so far in 2nd half
  18. Preston North End 26-0 v Hyde FC in October 15, 1887 is the biggest league defeat I can find. Wigan a long way to go yet
  19. West Indies building a lead only 5 wickets down. This is not a good effort by England..
  20. 40-0. England looking like chumps at the moment
  21. Why did Stokes choose to bat in poor weather conditions and forecast? Another cameo from Denly. Gets in, then out. Seems incapable of making big scores.
  22. I saw the gloves and immediately thought "black power".... which is different entirely to the BLM movement. The West Indies need to clarify why they were wearing them. Not a good move IMO Sibley might wish the season never started with the shot he played.
  23. Typical Mowbray to pull off a win like this after a rubbish run of results. Changes nothing really because as always it gives false hope
