  1. Burnley beating soton 3-0 the gulf widens
  2. Thanks for that insight. A damning indictment on the club and the depths to which it has sunk. Is this Mowbray's fault or the admin people or a combination of factors? And why was the club captain unceremoniously shoved out of the door so quickly? Bennett as captain will not go down well either
  3. Cunningham seems well received but in an ideal world, would have loved Austin (instead of Gallagher), and Reed, and a big centre back, which we are still sorely lacking. With them on board as Bowyer said we might have been able to have given it a right good go. Have to say overall, it's been a disappointing window.
  4. The 28-year-old has joined on a season-long deal but is not expected to feature for Tony Mowbray’s side in their Championship clash at Fulham on Saturday. Seems I was right. The lad's raring to go to judge from his comments but will have to earn his place in our first choice defence. This could only happen under Tony Mowbray.
  5. So will Cunningham play at Fulham, or will he need 2 months to inspect the wallpaper at Ewood to make sure he feels at home? Defence likely to be Bennett, Lenihan, Williams, Bell but should be Nyambe, Lenihan, Williams, Cunningham not that I like Williams but I don't think he'll play the City lad
  6. Another of Mowbray's stupid public comments. Still can't believe what he said about Magliore today
  7. Drinkwater's better than average though. Good player. Wish we had someone as good as Dyche.
  8. One thing is clear. All hopes of a much stronger squad this window and a push for a top 6 place have disappeared. As it stands, I think we'll be mid table at best and it will be another season wasted.
  9. Fulham also signed Bobby Reid from Cardiff. So that's 2 Reed/Reids in 1 day. They've signed some good players. Revised my prediction from 3-1 to 4-0 defeat.
  10. If we don't sign at least 1 new experienced defender then I think we'll be in the bottom 6 this season
  11. Dynamic player. Liked him alot, especially with Travis. But his opportunities would be limited as Mowbray went for a 32-year-old from Derby instead
  12. Reed nailed on to have a blinder on Saturday. Disappointed Mowbray didn't want him but then Mowbray disappoints me alot.
  13. Burnley sign Danny Drinkwater. That Dyche bloke seems quite promising.
  14. Now here's on odd one - Scott Carson to Man City from Derby. Pep needs to have a lie down
  15. Enjoyed watching Mulgrew in the promotion season. He did a very good job for us and deserves some respect instead of people celebrating his departure
  16. Mulgrew out. So Mowbray's latest "plan" is a 3-man defence.
  17. So another blue kit.....proof (if it wasn't already obvious) that the people running this club haven't a clue what they're doing.
  18. Offload the Rovers deadwood and get them off the wage bill and Austin would have been affordable. The Rovers squad is far too big with many who will (or shouldn't) get near the first team. Austin should have been a no-brainer for us
  19. Watford signed Danny Welbeck, still only 28 and an excellent player, and broken their transfer record for a Rennes player. That's third division Watford in my eyes. Sodding Venkys
  20. Charlie Austin from Soton to West Brom for £4m. What a great signing, the sort that gets you promotion. Much rather we had signed him than Gallagher
  21. An appalling and very insensitive statement by Mowbray. It might be his private thoughts but he should not be saying that about a young player in public. What is he thinking of, and what about the feelings of Magliore? Mowbray should get a bollocking from his boss about that - except he doesn't have one
  22. It's obvious no one else is coming in - at least no who will make a difference. In any other multimillion pound business a manager who failed to address a weakness in that business and wasted money on another part of that business would be hauled before the board to explain his actions and probably given the sack. Mowbray is allowed to get away with it because he is obviously answerable only to people who clearly do not understand the business they are in.
  23. Is it possible for Rovers fans to pay on the gate?
  24. It's not that - it's the hubris, the constant bullishness when it is clearly unwarranted that is most irking. I had the Charlton match down for a draw because a newly promoted team would be playing well and we're clearly no better than we were last season. I don't know why you thought we'd "put them to the sword". Fulham had a wake-up call at the weekend and will be going at us from the off Can our defence keep them out ? High unlikely. This is the real world - the post Brexit world - not the dreams and silly chutzpahn of Boris Johnson
