Easy to just assume he wasnt putting in the effort. -

Well, obviously. But the point is that such things make people believe that the probability of winning decreases. Excitement to see the season start and being apprehensive about how we are looking dont have to be mutually exclusive. -

Final judgements at the end, but why can't we judge along the way? @roverandout even said "if." -

Was Cruzcampo being sold in the Blackburn End on Saturday? It was in the JW but so was Heineken which was JW only for some reason last season. -

Really does somewhat tarnish the usual excitement with the farce that is going on at the moment. Really scraping the barrel for a goal. West Brom have Thomas Asante up top who whilst much more of a threat than our strikers isn't prolific but they do have players like Swift, Diangana and especially Jed Wallace so they carry a threat, we don't. Kaminski Rankin Costello Carter Hyam Pickering Tronstad Travis Hedges A Wharton Szmodics Ennis My hope for Ennis is like others, he can do an hour especially if they are playing a friendly behind closed doors tomorrow. Temptation either to either put Szmodics further forward as I have done and stiffen the midfield, or even put Rankin Costello further forward but I am not convinced on Brittain and Rankin Costello gives us something unique from RB. I would be annoyed if Adam Wharton didn't start but I suspect he and Ennis will be on the bench for Dolan and Leonard. Such a gigantic ask to expect him to start the season in the side with minimal other goals in the side. -
Looking at the Championship this season, obviously its bang average in general but there are very few really obviously poor teams. The worry is if we dont recruit that there isnt that usual dense layer of real shite should we end up in a rut due to a thin squad, lack of goals and lack of experience. Cardiff have recruited well and have an attack far superior to us. Birmingham have also recruited well and should be more steady this season, and both Plymouth and Ipswich look good enough for the league to avoid relegation. Huddersfield have Warnock too so will stay up. Maybe looking at Rotherham, QPR and Sheff Wednesday as the weakest 3. Rotherham usually dont make a second season and dont have the strongest side, our first away game could be important. QPR are managed by Ainsworth who was overhyped on here as a Blackburn lad and look light although do have a core (Begovic, Fox, Clarke Salter, Field, Chair, Willock and maybe Dykes) who are solid at this level, and Sheff Wednesday have not really strengthened.

Girona Friendly - #fanstakeover

Was there a reason why neither the LT or Lancs Live seemingly had any presence at the game? Have they given up completely? -
Maybe just learn to use his body better as he ages. It isnt a criticism of him, he is so young and ultimately we shouldnt need too rely on him and if we are it is failings of the owners. He definitely has something about him so he certainly is a prospect who it is good to see tied down.
-
Why does Tomasson not know if any signings are coming in or can be made and if any incoming money can be reinvested?
-
He definitely has a bit of movement and can sniff out goals, hopefully that translates to senior competitive football as you dont teach that. Still very slight and soft and will struggle physically, understandable at his age so why we shouldnt have to rely on him.

Girona Friendly - #fanstakeover

Didnt learn much today that we didnt already know. Girona were far, far better than us as youd expect, some of their play was levels above. Blind a class act, both wingers especially number 31 toyed with us. Rankin Costello looked like hed got injured he was run so ragged. We know the attacking side of our game is non existent. Leonard will struggle in the Championship, just a boy really without any physical presence, when he bulks out maybe that instinct will really come to the fore down the line. Markanday gifted an easy goal but otherwise bar working hard I thought struggled. And Dolan isnt up to it as we know. Thought giving Ennis 4 minutes was bizarre but he looks overweight. No game time which is hopefully why on his chance to run in behind and show his supposed pace, he looked like he was going in slow motion. Any news on Gallagher and Hedges? -
Doesnt suit that deeper role. Lacks the intelligence to thrive in an area where you get such little time on the ball. Since that good spell under Mowbray in a free role, he has really stagnated.
-
Talk of Travis "not suiting" how we want to play and how Buckley is at the start of the summer. Buckley clearly not thought of nearly as highly by Tomasson.
-
Maybe Gallagher has picked up an injury. Seems strange not to play any of our 5 attackers plus also seems unlikely that Ennis will feature.
-
Of course, it only matters who the manager picks and our opinion is not really relevant. But thats the point of being in here. No player is perfect but I think there is a noticeable gap in quality. If Kaminski made a mistake, that alone wouldnt change my mind.
-
I will be behind whoever too, as will everyone, goes without saying. But I do care in that having seen both lots, one is clearly better than the other. I think last season, a mistake was made not putting Kaminski back in. But it was a different choice in that Pears perhaps hadnt done enough to be dropped as he had the gloves at that time. From a new season, surely back to Kaminski and I think he will. That risk of upsetting the applecart has lessened because Pears wouldnt be considered dropped.
-
I would like to think that tonight will be the second team and tomorrow against good opposition that our first team will get a final strong test. That being said, the official website seems unsure and we did go stronger last Friday over Saturday.
-
And if he doesnt think that better keeper is Kaminski then I seriously question that judgement. With them both starting afresh, I would expect Kaminski as number 1 and he started last week in the stronger team with Pears playing with the kids.
-
That would be the far better keeper then.
-
Surely it would make more sense to have 90 minutes for one in one game and one in the other. Would expect/hope to see the first team v Girona, so that would include Kaminski. Hope Ennis can get some minutes.

There are loads of younger fans on twitter who back Venkys to the hilt and swallow all of the shit fans malarky. The likes of Rhodes and Brereton are the best theyve seen.

I do and whilst he might have more than 2 good games a season, he is anonymous more often than not and there is a reason why he can never nail down a regular spot.
