  1. There can be more than one answer. Results have been pretty woeful since he joined, their fans dont like him and hes trying to get players to do things that they arent good at. The whole thing looks totaly disjointed, like the coaching is really poor and the players arent behind him. He did well to get the West Ham job, hes not a good manager.
  2. So one of many that I named that you are being pedantic over. My point is still valid.
  3. Whats your gut feeling on whether he will prove to be a successful or unsuccessful Rovers manager?
  4. Take on board that it wouldnt have been reinvested anyway so its fairly moot and I also agree that you cant compare different players. But my logic isnt based on other players. Its based on our weak negotiating position. In the summer, having played more games, without us being so desperate, he or indeed any player is worth more under those circumstances. How much more, I dont know, but more.
  5. Ive just listed a number of fitness issues. Players joining late, players who are injured/carrying injuries and players who didnt have a pre season.
  6. He was lucky to keep his job last season and their fans didnt seem happy that he did. They need new players and a new manager. Hes a typical modern day manager. Trying to get players to do things they clearly arent capable of doing.
  7. These players wont sign new deals here, not because of a relationship with Eustace. But because mainly of money, like anyone. Our inability to offer new deals promptly and offer sufficient new deals has led to us being unable to get anyone to sign in years. We dont offer competitive wages. That account clearly has an intention to make the club seem helpless and the players leaving to be unprofessional. Suggesting they had new deals offered ages ago when they said they hadnt, and repeatedly suggesting that they dont want to play for us. Unprofessional and tacky. Thankfully most have seen through it. But it sums up how dysfunctional we are.
  8. I think they have had a lot of issues with fitness. Agyemang isnt fit, Morris only signed late, Weimann missed some of pre season due to injury, Bobby Clark isnt up to speed, Beck is injured and Brewster missed all of pre season. They also are obviously going to strengthen with Travis, as well as Johnston (right back) and they are looking at wingers.
  9. They have a poor squad but still, surely West Ham have to get rid of Potter? Crap manager.
  10. I dont get why whether one England under 21 manager selects him or not, why that determines how highly rated he was across the board? Also, international selections are often weighted towards bigger clubs. Surely more reasonable logic is to look at the direct circumstances. Where we desperate to sell? Yes. Was it in the summer when clubs spend far more, especially on players not necessarily to slot straight in? No. Brings the price down.
  11. Isnt pointing out the mistake "micro scrutinising" him and not supporting him?
  12. Ismael is very much in your good books now, he can do no wrong.
  13. If you cant see that the twitter account in question is someone on the inside, trying to manipulate fans against departing players and trying to make the club seem helpless in such situations, then I dunno what to say. It is someone who has a 100% record in revealing news. For that, they must be right up the food chain. Whether its one of Gestede/Sufi/Owen or someone they are purposely feeding news to, I dont know. The account aside from revealing incomings has been happy to repeatedly imply that Brittain and Travis have been unprofessional, have defended the club on contracts and claimed they were offered ages ago despite all of those players saying publically that they hadnt, and has got into spats with fans who have not swallowed the bullshit, even calling Glen Mullan a "doom merchant." For someone so keen on strong communication, you surely not only can see that but recognise that its grossly unprofessional from the individual and the club to communicate like this from behind an anonymous twitter handle. I did expect Travis to leave but only because of our pathetic inability to sort contracts out. I also knew that these issues would totally overshadow everything else. Its depressing to see another key player leave and replaced this time by a guy relegated from the Swiss league, on loan, who is injured.
  14. Both of them signed permanently but on short term deals.
  15. Why has this Alofayan rumour snowballed so much? Not seen anything beyond a rumour along with about 14 other teams.
  16. Its a shame we have terrible set piece takers. Because hes so important in terms of leadership etc, and because hes going, his importance on the pitch is being underestimated. He might be average in terms of passing but he wins the ball back really well, he is athletic, he reads the game well and he helps to protect the defence well. Leaves a huge hole and it wont be filled if his replacement is doing rehab.
  17. So just to clarify. We are replacing our captain who the local journalist is bigging up the fee of. With an injured player on loan?
  18. He is an important player for them and sometimes plays further forward so i cant imagine that it will be either or.
  19. If Baradji does sign, surely we have to loan a midfielder on top. We wont, but we should.
  20. For the next few months, our immediate midfield cover will likely be someone clearly not ready who was playing in the 9th tier last season. In goal, we might have a season where our immediate cover is an 18 year old who isnt ready. And our sub par attack from last season is now far worse with no sign of being strengthened.
  21. Whoever it is on the inside again trying to turn people against Travis. Wonder who it is. Whoever it is, grossly unprofessional. Net effect for us. Replacing our captain with an injured player.
  22. Can you answer how anything I have done will have affected him in any way? It doesnt need "micro scrutinising." It wasnt a minor mistake, it was a gigantic one which pretty much killed the game after 4 minutes. Off the back of some questionable keeping for the first. He shouldnt be playing senior football for a Championship team. He is an 18 year old keeper who in one senior appearance showed that he blatantly is nowhere near ready. He should either be playing for the under 21s or be in non league on loan. You also want senior cover for Toth, but for some reason you seem to want to argue for arguments sake, presumably aware that theres a chance that a penny pinching, dysfunctional club like ourselves are probably stupid enough to go into a Championship season with one senior keeper. And suggesting that I wouldnt or havent been supporting him. Deplorable, meaningless rubbish.
  23. I was against him being number 2 from the start, correct. He is a bloody untested 18 year old. Well, he was tested once against a League 1 side and failed the test. Its too early. Its not fair on him to put him in a position where a Toth injury leaves him playing games at a level hes not ready for, it will do him damage and it will jeopardise our chances of survival. Its not about being patient. Hes 18. If we chucked in a 15 year old tomorrow and he struggled and I said he isnt ready, would that again just be me showing an unreasonable lack of patience? Pears should be 2nd choice until a senior replacement is found. He isnt beyond 3rd choice for footballing reasons. Stop just swallowing everything the club says and does. You never quite commit to saying that you DEFINITELY would have Michalski as 2nd choice, but you defend it nonetheless. Would you be happy with him as 2nd choice? If Toth has got a knock during the week, would you be nervous or comfortable if he started tomorrow?
  24. That he wasnt happy with the interviews and felt like he was throwing under the bus? Then its an issue of our own making because he played the first game. And yes, I know, you appreciate Ismael being "open and honest" I dont need to hear it again. Its just a shame that it leaves the team much weaker ahead of an important game.
