  1. His intentions are most likely that he is sat on a 3 year deal so not to rock the boat. Nothing sinister beyond that. He has shown signs of frustration already and he will be worn down at some point. They all have been.
  2. I knew that would anger you more than it perhaps should.
  3. I wish we were in a position where we were signing a proven, very good Championship winger but worrying that we overpaid.
  4. Yes, I am sure he is against keeping all of our best players. His wishes are irrelevant.
  5. The damage doesnt seem to have been done on Hyam, or maybe Tronstad. We are just refusing to offer them any sort of rise.
  6. Are we seeing the pattern in senior players not renewing their contracts yet?
  7. I dont think it was a "massive mistake." He cost a nominal fee and has seriously declined since suffering 2 bad hamstring injuries. I dont think he has been a good signing though. I cant understand why we extended his deal. Well, I can. Because I suspect his wage isnt that high.
  8. I see the owners aided by their minions Suhail and Rudy are keen to make our 150th season a memorable one by getting rid of good Championship players and replacing with cheap crap from here there and everywhere which will lead to League 1. Clearly also keen to push a narrative of helplessness through the media and also Ismael. He has had question marks over man management in the past and he is happy to throw players under the bus in public if need be. People lap up his "honesty" but I suspect the squad wont appreciate it. People also seem keen to underestimate the importance of these players. Talk of Tavares off the back of one decent game against Bradford's second string being an able replacement for a midfielder who has proven to be a good Championship midfielder over a number of seasons. Hyam has never been popular but hes our best centre back and has excelled in 2 of his 3 seasons here.
  9. I dont see how he would offer anything to any Championship club.
  10. Things are getting prettt desperate if Emmanuel Dennis even gets a mention.
  11. Yes it is. Wharton is a very, very good player but not Real Madrid starting 11 to replace Luka Modric standard.
  12. We didnt create a chance of note (most we managed was a half chance for Ohashi) against West Brom, having seen them rip us apart for half an hour before retreating. I would suggest that is pretty poor.
  13. Playing with 10 men is a risk. Not sure what McLoughlin has done to be dropped either.
  14. We shouldnt be loaning a replacement for Travis. Nor obviously should we sign someone injured. Use a couple of loans to add additional attacking power on top of buying a right winger and any direct replacements for outgoings.
  15. How do you know that either has a "ceiling" that is higher than a player that a player who has repeatedly proven to be a very good Championship midfielder. Baradji should be a non starter anyway if he needs an operation. And likely will be anyway for work permit reasons. Also, you say that Tavares is very highly rated. By who? I liked the look of him admittedly against a League 1 second string. But he WAS highly rated by Leicester years ago, then went to Porto and stayed with the B team aside from a brief and unsuccessful MLS loan, then was in and out at Moirinense. If he is better than Travis or even on par then its a hell of a signing.
  16. Why does he not? We seem to be prioritising athleticism over ability. Travis does have ability (might not be a brilliant passer but no mug either) but he certainly is an athlete as well as bringing other things. Surely he suits it down to the ground.
  17. He is not only an experienced player at this level but you underplay how effective he is at this level and how hard it would be to replace him. It will be very difficult to replace him, especially seeing as we will be doing so for a small fee most likely from a random European league. Tavares had a decent game againsr Bradford, is thay enough for you to consider Travis to already be replaced adequately? Lunacy if so. Baradji seems to be flavour of the month based on a highlights reel. If he needs months off that should be off the table straight away. Beyond that, we also dont have a slot for him in terms of ESC. And beyond that, you are replacing a proven good Championship midfielder with someone who has had one good season seemingly at a relegated Swiss club.
  18. I dont see how it is evident personally. If anything, surely us trying to be more athletic and get about the pitch, that suits the strengths of Travis. He is naturally a player to sub off when chasing a game because you tend to put more attacking players on. But I am not having that he is going even slightly because Ismael doesnt rate him. He seems annoyed that he is leaving. He is leaving because we took ages to offer him a new deal, and now he can get a wage far more suited to a proven Championship midfielder. I also suspect he can see a sinking ship around him.
  19. From one extreme to the other. Filling the squad with 5 loans to make uo the numbers, or refusing to sign any at all instead relying on kids who clearly arent ready to make up the numbers, purely to hit a ridiculous target. A couple to top up the squad should be signed.
  20. Why would a battering to heavily fancied Birmingham make a considerable difference to media spotlight? They dont seem that arsed about whats going on at Wednesday. Even if we lose comfortably and there are a few chants, it wont make any difference in the media.
  21. Im not convinced by him. But its astounding how Barnsley fans who saw him take them to 5th think hes shit.
  22. He also reiterated that its 1 signing plus replacements. Which is nowhere near enough.
  23. Ive been told many times that everything is aligned and all of the signings are exactly tailored to what he wants. He seemed seriously pissed off post match, again. He also cant be happy with the business we are doing.
