  1. It would cost relatively peanuts to put up a bus stop like structure on the riverside concourse for the wheelchair users down the front. I cant believe I have been sat there for 30 years watching them get soaked every match when it rains and nobody at the club does anything about it.
  2. We look a solid team at the moment but things can change quickly. We already have two first choice defenders out for a season/half season and any more injuries could quickly cause a crisis. We have bucked the trend lately but still concerned about our lack of attacking threat/goal scoring. I think we can be cautiouslly optimistic about avoiding relegation at this point though based on our results and performances.
  3. I would be happy to just keep winning our home games and anything on the road is a bonus. Keeping our good home form up is key to staying up this season IMO.
  4. Fantastic win and deserved I thought, we had chances to make it more comfortable. Leeds ran out of ideas and other than throwing loads of corners in the box didn’t seem to have much of a game plan. Top marks for Tronstad and Dolan today both outstanding.
  5. Just watched the highlights and it looked a deserved win. Dolan should have buried that header and we had another close call with the disallowed goal from Cantwell. Didn't look like Pears had anything to do all game really. Fantastic victory and feels like the bad spell is behind us, still worried where our goals are going to come from longer term.
  6. Rudy Gestede has probably never renewed someones contract before and is busy studying for his first one.
  7. My money is on the court case postponement confirming there is £0 to spend in January and Park has just thought what's the point in being here. The same reason most the scouting department left in the summer, zero job satisfaction.
  8. Good to see Eustace wants to strengthen the positions that most of us fans also want. I just hope the club back him; both need to be permanent deals but doubt they will finance anything but a free/loan.
  9. Hard to believe this was only 6 months ago, the board of directors clearly decided the investment is £0 and it wasn't worth having Gregg around anymore. Speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire, Broughton revealed his recommendation for how the club utilise the funds over the course of the next 12 months: “Transfer business over the last 12 months will bring income streams into the club. We had two or three players going out of the club on fees last summer, and since then we’ve had Adam Wharton leave in the club’s record sale and the David Raya deal will land next summer as well.” “The board of directors have got to decide how they are going to invest that money and at what level they can do that. “My recommendation to the board is that we look at investment in four areas – firstly transfer fees, secondly the wage bill, thirdly reinvestment into our academy and infrastructure and finally not to blow it all in one go, have some in case we need to go back again in January and next summer.”
  10. I think it's been made clear from the financial statement that this court case is not a priority for the club given the amount of funds generated from player sales. They aren't interested in squad building just paying the bills and using frees/loans to keep us going, the 'Brentford model' or 'project' was clearly a load of bollocks. Otherwise they would be getting the owners to chuck us £20m as well as spending the sale money on players. It's probably enough to keep us going for another 12-18 months so fully expect the court case to be kicked along until at least Jan 2026. At that point hands will be forced as there is nobody in this squad worth more than £1-2m. If they were disappointed with season ticket sales this summer just wait till the next one, loyalty only goes so far Waggot. He will probably be retired by then hence why he doesn't give two shits.
  11. I hope that financial statement is read out in the next fans forum for Waggot to respond to and is asked why he has continually lied about it.
  12. I don't understand how cases ever get heard in India, if we are number 72 tomorrow then there is no chance. Which means another delay till Feb/March based on previous delays. Do you need to pay to get up the list or something? There must be a way for a court case to be heard as otherwise this will just go on forever?
  13. Our ability to survive is going to be heavily dependant on squad goals from players like Weimann, Cantwell, Dolan which sums up how hard it's going to be with the squad we have. Ohashi and Gueye are going to be lucky to get to 5-10 goals between them in my opinion, we have no Szmodic/Armstrong/Brereton this time around.
  14. Fear a thumping today and at some point he must realise the same setup is going to see the same results.
  15. Crazy after all he has done for the club. I wonder what the fans feeling is as that's normally a good barometer if its as mental as it looks from the outside.
  16. Thankfully busy so don't have to see us get battered 4-0 in this one. I wonder how long we can go before we finally score, anyone know the current record?
  17. For me it's a combination of poor quality wide players and a lack of getting bodies in the box when we attack. The former we are stuck with thanks to our overlords pocketing every penny they can and investing nothing. The latter however is on Eustace and he has to find a way of playing that means our only striker doesn't find himself out wide or back in midfield. I've seen enough now to know its time to try 2 up front so why doesn't he?
  18. He needs a goal soon as it’s becoming almost a comedy sideshow at how poor he looks. That miss tonight was something else, was actually harder to do what he did than score.
  19. No goals in the team and can’t keep clean sheets now either. I expected it pre-season then that start made me think not. Now we have reverted to the form we all expected I think it’s nailed on relegation battle. Just have to hope there are 3 worse teams like last season.
  20. Time for the relegation thread please. For the first time this season I’d be critical of the manager as well. He’s got a hard job but took far too long to make changes tonight and lacks ambition to get us back in the game. Should have thrown the kitchen sink at it rather than just swapping Ohashi for Gueye. His saving grace was the defensive side but that’s long gone to shit now as well.
  21. My money is on yet another delay, the Indian court system seems a complete joke based on how it was explained to work last time. Giving a judge 100+ cases to deal with in a day then putting those he/she doesn't get to at the back of the queue months down the line seems a bonkers way to run a court system.
  22. We have to win this to bring some positivity back and ideally convincingly. No idea how that is going to happen though the squad looks really poor in an attacking sense. As a start Dolan and Hedges need to be benched in favour of others or a different setup. I like the back 3 and wing back idea someone else had on here think that would work well with Britain and Beck giving us some width. Also whoever plays up front needs some support so would go with both Gueye and Ohashi to start.
  23. Lose to Stoke on Wednesday night and it’s time to open the relegation thread. We have hit the form we all expected pre-season with a total lack of creativity and goals. Anyone pointing at our league position needs to give their heads a wobble. Like under JdT last year it doesn’t reflect our performances at all and you can see where it’s heading.
  24. Did Gueye sprint with the ball down the wing and out of play or did my eyes deceive me?
  25. Dolan and Hedges continually play and put in 3/10 performances. Give someone else a chance on Wednesday night please.
