  1. Whilst I will miss Bakers experience around the squad I have seen enough to know he is a bang average midfielder who can easily be replaced. The key question is will they replace him, answer is probably not. No surprise our form has gone to shit since Travis got injured, we desperately need a centre mid willing to get forward and support attacks like he does. Baker just spent all game stood next to Tronstad making 6 yard passes.
  2. A draw would have been fair but we should have showed more ambition in the first half. Baker and Tronstad needs to end they just stand next to each other all game and get a nosebleed if they pass the halfway line. Guess the plan was to take it to 0-0 then attack for last 20 mins but the one bit of class from Burnley got them a goal and allowed them to sit for the rest of the game. Been a crap Xmas period and a terrible points return. Hope it turns around quickly so we don’t end up in last seasons mess.
  3. Was referring to previous January’s should have stated. No, thought summer window was ok given the budget we evidently had. Not sure who that was down to though. This time it’s all on Waggot’s protege/fall guy Rudy.
  4. Wouldn’t be surprised if Gestede is the next out the door after another failed window. We seem to like a revolving door in the scouting department.
  5. Going to be a tough game, be happy to park the bus and take a point today with a slim chance of a breakaway goal like last year.
  6. That start was the worst half of football at Ewood this season IMO. Got better in the 2nd and we were knocking on the door until the sucker punch. Hull then picked up and could have bagged one or two more. Really disappointing but put in perspective with the squad quality, investment and ownership stuff we are punching well above my expectations this season. Just hope this isn’t the start of a slide been 3 poor results in a row.
  7. You can’t win them all and we had to lose at some point. Big response against Sunderland on Boxing Day hopefully
  8. Delusional. We were 5 points off relegation with 1 win in 11 when JDT left, shipping 2-3 goals every match.
  9. Fancy another win given our form, but realistically 7 in a row in modern football is a really rare thing. So with my head I see a 0-0 but heart 0-1 Rovers.
  10. Preston spent a few million on players this summer and last, and that's without selling anyone to bring in finances. Its a sad day when clubs like Preston are investing more in their playing squad than Rovers (even more so after bringing in £40m+ in sales).
  11. Great result again at home, total domination in that first half and probably should have scored more. Felt like we stepped off in the second and let them try and score which isn’t the smartest move IMO. thankfully they didn’t and once the lad got sent off things settled down. Thought Gueye and ACD were class today, hope we keep the good run going over Xmas.
  12. Great performance today dominated the Luton defenders and won practically everything he went in for. Did some good defensive clearances as well. Good to see something from him and let’s hope it continues like this
  13. Feel quietly confident for tomorrow based on our home form. I expected Luton to be cruising the league but the reality has been very different for them. Going 2-0 rovers with Big Mak and Dolan to score.
  14. Very scrappy game but delighted with the win. Unbelievable form at the moment and well deserved wins in all the games. If we could just get one or two quality players in attack come January these games would be 3-0s instead.
  15. It would cost relatively peanuts to put up a bus stop like structure on the riverside concourse for the wheelchair users down the front. I cant believe I have been sat there for 30 years watching them get soaked every match when it rains and nobody at the club does anything about it.
  16. We look a solid team at the moment but things can change quickly. We already have two first choice defenders out for a season/half season and any more injuries could quickly cause a crisis. We have bucked the trend lately but still concerned about our lack of attacking threat/goal scoring. I think we can be cautiouslly optimistic about avoiding relegation at this point though based on our results and performances.
  17. I would be happy to just keep winning our home games and anything on the road is a bonus. Keeping our good home form up is key to staying up this season IMO.
  18. Fantastic win and deserved I thought, we had chances to make it more comfortable. Leeds ran out of ideas and other than throwing loads of corners in the box didn’t seem to have much of a game plan. Top marks for Tronstad and Dolan today both outstanding.
  19. Just watched the highlights and it looked a deserved win. Dolan should have buried that header and we had another close call with the disallowed goal from Cantwell. Didn't look like Pears had anything to do all game really. Fantastic victory and feels like the bad spell is behind us, still worried where our goals are going to come from longer term.
  20. Rudy Gestede has probably never renewed someones contract before and is busy studying for his first one.
  21. My money is on the court case postponement confirming there is £0 to spend in January and Park has just thought what's the point in being here. The same reason most the scouting department left in the summer, zero job satisfaction.
  22. Good to see Eustace wants to strengthen the positions that most of us fans also want. I just hope the club back him; both need to be permanent deals but doubt they will finance anything but a free/loan.
  23. Hard to believe this was only 6 months ago, the board of directors clearly decided the investment is £0 and it wasn't worth having Gregg around anymore. Speaking to BBC Radio Lancashire, Broughton revealed his recommendation for how the club utilise the funds over the course of the next 12 months: “Transfer business over the last 12 months will bring income streams into the club. We had two or three players going out of the club on fees last summer, and since then we’ve had Adam Wharton leave in the club’s record sale and the David Raya deal will land next summer as well.” “The board of directors have got to decide how they are going to invest that money and at what level they can do that. “My recommendation to the board is that we look at investment in four areas – firstly transfer fees, secondly the wage bill, thirdly reinvestment into our academy and infrastructure and finally not to blow it all in one go, have some in case we need to go back again in January and next summer.”
  24. I think it's been made clear from the financial statement that this court case is not a priority for the club given the amount of funds generated from player sales. They aren't interested in squad building just paying the bills and using frees/loans to keep us going, the 'Brentford model' or 'project' was clearly a load of bollocks. Otherwise they would be getting the owners to chuck us £20m as well as spending the sale money on players. It's probably enough to keep us going for another 12-18 months so fully expect the court case to be kicked along until at least Jan 2026. At that point hands will be forced as there is nobody in this squad worth more than £1-2m. If they were disappointed with season ticket sales this summer just wait till the next one, loyalty only goes so far Waggot. He will probably be retired by then hence why he doesn't give two shits.
  25. I hope that financial statement is read out in the next fans forum for Waggot to respond to and is asked why he has continually lied about it.
