Agree, this week has turned my view from bottom of the league to some hope of avoiding relegation. I don't know what happened behind the scenes but assuming the manager has probably threatened to walk or kicked up a stink. The signings in the main are sticking plasters to get us through this season, it looks like that is now the 'project' and who knows what comes after. The reality is though that our assets are sold off and replaced by frees/cheapies/loans until eventually its league 1 time.

The guy certainly looks the part, been a while since we have had some presence up front instead of the usual powder puff midgets running about. Hopefully this is the first of a few attacking signings, we still need 2 wingers and another 2 strikers (guessing one will be the Japanese fella). If we can add a centre back to the mix then we stand a chance of scraping lower mid table providing Maggot doesn't flog off anymore players.

There’s some on here that would be happy to see most our first 11 sold. Smart business isn’t replacing experienced pros with inferior kids/loans. It’s asset stripping.

Nobody should be leaving the club until a replacement is signed IMO. Not sad to see Gally leave but without a replacement first we are just becoming weaker and weaker whilst the Venkys save another few quid.

Totally agree, we are gonna struggle for goals so badly without Szmodic. I think we will struggle to score even a single goal in a game this year as it stands. Also as our wide and forward players are so poor it just invites the opposition forwards as we can’t maintain pressure or offer any threat leading to us being under the cosh all game. Lets hope some of these signings actually come in else it’s nailed on relegation.

I was thinking the same that Eustace must be thinking about his next best action. It’s clearly dawned on him what a shit show the administration is and he’s heading for the sack within 15-20 games with this squad. He must be considering sacking it off before his reputation is damaged beyond repair. He has an easy out at this point.

I honestly think Waggot and/or Pasha are more interested in pandering to the owners to either look good or achieve some sort of bonus. That insider quote about ‘washing our face’ sums it up. By flogging players like we have it’s the first time in a while they can say they don’t need the cash to keep going. Never mind that the squad is total gash and we are likely to be relegated they will just roll the dice and hope for the best like last summer.

Sounds like the manager and recruitment team want to pull the trigger but Waggot/Pasha have stupidly told the owners we don’t need any money. Probably in a bid to look good and not trouble them. Those two need to go pronto

I think we will be down at the bottom by Halloween with people calling for Eustace’s head. For the most part people forget the shambles of numerous transfer windows that will be the root cause of the disastrous season to come. The only saving grace might be that he showed he was a pragmatic manager who could grind results out as opposed to JDT who went for Barcelona tactics with a Bamber Bridge squad. The only team in the league without a first team transfer shows the shambles we have become. When Szmodic goes we are royally f*cked and without buying some new wingers and strikers I think we will set a low scoring record next season.

My moneys on another adjournment. Sounds like Waggot has convinced them we can ‘wash our own face’ by flogging more players before heading into league one with a team of u18s. So why would they push to get it heard if they are given a chance to kick it to the long grass?

He is probably busy reading "Director of Football for Dummies" whilst trying to lie as low as possible incase someone asks him a question which he has no idea how to answer. Then once the transfer window closes will appear with some nonsense about funding, not blocking pathways blah blah blah.

We will have played Derby(H), Stockport (A Cup), Norwich (A) by the 20th August. Then Oxford (H) 24th and Burnley (A) 31st. If we are then able to bring players in from 20th onwards there will likely be a period of adjustment to our style/players plus clubs charge us a premium now they know we have some cash to spend. Also anyone available that was decent has probably already moved. I know Venkys like to sabotage us mid-season but this is a new low.

Who’s next out the door? Sammy, Gallagher, Dolan or Hyam would be my guess. Sammy is the golden goose don’t think the others would fetch much
