I didn’t watch but this sounds like most games at Ewood last season. Gonna be a horrible season ahead, regret renewing my season ticket already and we haven’t kicked a ball.

Been saying it all summer and last season but our attacking options are dreadful. We desperately need two wingers and two strikers or we will set a new low scoring record next year.

I honestly think Waggot and/or Pasha are more interested in pandering to the owners to either look good or achieve some sort of bonus. That insider quote about ‘washing our face’ sums it up. By flogging players like we have it’s the first time in a while they can say they don’t need the cash to keep going. Never mind that the squad is total gash and we are likely to be relegated they will just roll the dice and hope for the best like last summer.

Sounds like the manager and recruitment team want to pull the trigger but Waggot/Pasha have stupidly told the owners we don’t need any money. Probably in a bid to look good and not trouble them. Those two need to go pronto

I think we will be down at the bottom by Halloween with people calling for Eustace’s head. For the most part people forget the shambles of numerous transfer windows that will be the root cause of the disastrous season to come. The only saving grace might be that he showed he was a pragmatic manager who could grind results out as opposed to JDT who went for Barcelona tactics with a Bamber Bridge squad. The only team in the league without a first team transfer shows the shambles we have become. When Szmodic goes we are royally f*cked and without buying some new wingers and strikers I think we will set a low scoring record next season.

He is probably busy reading "Director of Football for Dummies" whilst trying to lie as low as possible incase someone asks him a question which he has no idea how to answer. Then once the transfer window closes will appear with some nonsense about funding, not blocking pathways blah blah blah.

We will have played Derby(H), Stockport (A Cup), Norwich (A) by the 20th August. Then Oxford (H) 24th and Burnley (A) 31st. If we are then able to bring players in from 20th onwards there will likely be a period of adjustment to our style/players plus clubs charge us a premium now they know we have some cash to spend. Also anyone available that was decent has probably already moved. I know Venkys like to sabotage us mid-season but this is a new low.

Who’s next out the door? Sammy, Gallagher, Dolan or Hyam would be my guess. Sammy is the golden goose don’t think the others would fetch much

IMO the club, particularly Waggot have outright lied about the severity of the situation the entire way through. It was always shit or bust on the 20th August.

I think it's highly likely it gets delayed again based on the last two occasions, leaving us desperately trying to sell Szmodic or whoever to get enough money to crawl through to Xmas.

Relegation with the current squad, even more so if Szmodic leaves. If we sign 5-6 players of quality than it could all still change however unlikely that is.

I am worried about letting players go before we bring in replacements now Wharton and Whalstedt are gone, Telalovic to follow. It's just an excuse to cost cut and replace them with u23 players or loans as the squad gets smaller and smaller. Happy to eat my words if we go out and buy 6-7 players but doubt we will.

I doubt the club mgmt actually know, they sent Pasha to India a few weeks back to find out according to the Trust, so presumably until that gets decided we just drift along.

Nobody should be leaving until we have some players in the squad is already a shambles. The cost cutting continues

I don't think its conspiratorial to suggest a club whose owners haven't sent a penny to the club for 8 months (that loses £20m per year) might need to sell players in order to pay bills. Its a fact. The timing is more likely down to external factors rather than Rovers wishes.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they needed the Whalstedt cash to pay some bills hence the quick sale. Expect more to come

The obsession with 'no 10s' has led to dull walking football with 6 yard one touch passes into the corner and all the way back out to the centre backs again. Getting some power, pace and directness in the wide areas would be fantastic and might give our strikers a chance to score some goals.

We are going to struggle to put a team out come Derby if the trend continues. Let me guess we have this ace in the u23 and we don’t want to block his route to the first team. Glad to see the back to him but we need to bring some players in before we flog anymore.
