Downing. Another being rewarded with an appearance bonus. -

Topping up the vast pots of money they’ve already had out of us with appearance bonuses. Let’s face it, neither of them is getting a contract near what they are on currently. Tony helping his trusted lieutenants out with a few thousand quid. -

I know they aren’t. What I should have said was “do not endorse the league” Its interesting you mention Man Utd’s 60 million fanbase. Do you consider the opinions on this proposal of all of those 60 million to be equal? Personally, I think the viewpoint of the little old fella in his 80’s who was born and bred in Stretford and has been going on Old Trafford since the 50s is a lot more important than the guy in the Philippines who since discovering football 8 years ago has a picture of Bruno Fernandez as his Twitter avatar and watches them on telly. It’s pretty obvious which of those hypothetical individuals would support this idea and which would oppose it. -

A breakaway could be the best thing that has ever happened to the English game. Take a year or two for things to level out, but it would present a brilliant opportunity for top to bottom reform. So what if the next sky deal might not be so big, just means all clubs will have to stop making bang average players millionaires by the time they hit 20. We got the Premier League and all the inequality that goes with it thanks to similar thinking. This sort of idea from the laughably called “big 6” is the next step on from that. The Premier League hasn’t brought the international success it promised, and I dare say there’s no improvement for the vast majority of fans across the 92 league clubs. People who refer to and view football as “a product” and watch it on TV from all corners of the globe are the ones being considered here. Kick them out of FIFA, effectively make it a different sport for them. No doubt our game will endure. -

Afraid not today. These teatime kickoffs don’t make it easy timing wise, and our xL (expected listener... sorry, couldn’t resist!) would be low. Will do a show on Tuesday though. The extra hour makes all the difference. -
Although it’s unlikely, Mowbray could relegate us to the third tier twice. That would make him the worst manager in our history I reckon.
-
Don’t be silly folks, it doesn’t matter how many season tickets we actually sell. Waggott will be reporting back to Pune that our xST is 22,000

I wouldn’t be surprised if this table got sent over to India and it was implied it was the actual table. I’m only half joking.

Mowbray is very much the subject of today’s Rovers Radio show. https://roversradio.co.uk/listen-live From 1pm

Waggott's message to all Rovers fans

Yeah, I expect so. Hopefully they will both be gone sooner rather than later. -

If a hypothetical situation existed where we could only get rid of either Waggott or Mowbray, I’d choose Waggott all day long. I’m dreading this summer. -
Just had a look at some of the comments on that article... ”Rovers are a well run club” I fucking despair.

16. Didn’t read the Champions League question properly.

Good or bad Friday depending on the result

Ask him to bring Akinfenwa with him. He’d be more use than Gallagher and Brereton. -

Disgraceful half that! Midfield 3 a joke, Elliott a luxury we can’t afford, Gallagher and Brereton both brainless, limited and totally unsuited to how we play, JRC struggled enormously defensively and once again looked like an winger being played out of position. Plus point is Lenihan and Harwood-Bellis have stood up to the physical test pretty well. -

Of course not! Just amazing how many still not only buy into his bullshit but try to help spin it. -

Yep! And they have to keep the parent clubs happy. -

So despite the fact Mowbray has been talking about how the next few games will “shape our transfers” this summer, and we’d be giving some of the young lads a go, 7 of the starting 11 aren’t contracted beyond the end of the season. -

It’s definitely indifferent Friday. I expect to be mildly annoyed before kickoff due to some head scratching selections, but this will give way to being fairly pleased at getting three points. Im resigned to the fact we will just stumble on to the end of the season, but I really hope we have changes in the dugout and the boardroom over the summer. -
Link to Telegraph Story Interesting timing... Talk of differences of opinion with the likes of Ayala and Pickering, and then there’s the ongoing training ground saga. Also strange considering we have constantly been told about how much work (and money) has gone into building the recruitment team over the last few years, not to mention they have the biggest job in recent memory on this summer. If someone would choose to go to Sunderland - consistently the biggest basket case of a club for the last few years, it may suggest not all is as rosy at Ewood and Brockhall as some would have believe. Hope this doesn’t mean the Coventrio is about to become the Coventry Quartet.
-
From his point of view he may be worried about being played out of position. He’s been widely quoted as stating he sees himself as a winger/wide forward. Perhaps there’s some concern that playing at full back may prevent him from realising his full potential?

Brockhall STC - planning permission application ?
Miller11 replied to Mattyblue's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
“I am very much opposed to this development. It is not, in any way, an attempt by BRFC to integrate itself with this village and the surrounding area. Quite the opposite, you will alienate us all. It appears to be a financial strategy to ease the club’s downward spiralling poor financial position (by selling its existing training assets to build houses) caused by poor management in recent years.” Mr Carl Allen of the Brockhall residents group clearly gets it. -
No, the answer is getting in a better manager, and CEO for that matter. If we are making the most of what we have currently though, playing players in their actual positions helps.
