Agree with all of this, especially the bit in bold. There are so many club shops, not only at Premier League level, but at Championship and below, that put ours to shame. This isn't having a go for the sake of it, or trying to pin everything on the owners. However, as a regular club shop visitor, I have seen the decline over the years, and it all started when these owners came in. It wasn't like this before. The lack of interest and the low standards from the top have filtered down throughout the entire club. It's disappointing as I want to buy things from there, but imo, there isn't much worth buying.

Quality, quality goal. The passing, the movement and a clinical finish. -
Posted this on the other thread last night, but it's more at home here: Anybody for a biscuit top 5? Are Viennese Whirls a cake or a biscuit? If it's the latter, then they are high on this list. 1. Crunch Creams 2. All Butter Shortbread Petticoat Tails 3. Maryland Choc Chip Cookies 4. Bourbon Creams 5. McVitie's Chocolate Digestives

This is more like it. On the chocolate discussion, it's Galaxy for me as my number one, any day of the week. I don't find Cadbury to be as good as it was before. I like how Galaxy has maintained its classic taste over the years. A useless fact, but for years at Ewood during the 90s and into the 2000s, I would have a Bounty (chocolate) at half time. No other chocolate would even come into it. I guess I liked it that much. When I see Bounty anywhere, it always reminds of Sherwood, Sutton and Gallacher 😊.

Absolutely. It's about standards and ours are pretty much on the floor right now because of these owners. This is what Uncle Jack thought about Rovers:

Exactly. It looked a foul on Berg. -
We've scarred them and the Preston fans for life. They will never forget the pain we have caused them, no matter what their clubs go on to do (which isn't likely to be much). I love it. What I find laughable is, the dingle mugs in that thread claiming their "great fans" and "passion" would have seen them win double the amount of trophies had they have been backed by a benefactor 😂. There's another one stating "we are a league above them and have double the fans they have". Yeah, and? Newcastle have had 52,000 fans in their stadium for years on end, but have not outdone the famous Blackburn Rovers. I can point to tens more of such clubs. That's despite us being a mess for 12 years. They use our history to have a go at us, but fail to spot an ominous (for them) sign: It's a part of our Club's DNA. Lawrence Cotton, Uncle Jack...and when Venky's piss off...just wait and see. I suspect there won't be much laughter over that end when that day comes, and they are begging for Venky's to come back.

Only at the football 😁. The amount of dodgy decisions that went in their favour against us in general was ridiculous. They tried their best to give them the title in '95. One that still annoys me to this day is Alan Smith's late goal at the Darwen End. Way over added time. Saha punches it into his path. Smith scores. Ref thinks it's a perfectly good goal. -

He remembered who was sat in the opposition's dugout and up went the flag. I can't see what Grabbi did wrong there. I remember Barthez thinking he was Zidane that night. We should have won that game. -
Girona Friendly - #fanstakeover
SuperBrfc replied to We Are The Rovers's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Does anybody know if many Girona fans are expected to make it over? I don't think there'll be many for a friendly. I assume the Darwen End will be open as usual for away fans? Always curious about these kind of things when we play foreign opposition. Which is another reason why I'm looking forward to our return to the Europa League in a few season's time 😊. -

23/24 kit; is a new sponsor needed?

I'm trying to imagine a world where I'm in the club shop and I utter the words: "Can I have Venky's put on the sleeve, please?". Just the thought of it...ffs. It is optional, and each to their own, but it would be interesting to see if there is much take up of that option. -

Fantastic. Seeing Brad and others from before the dark times really brings it all back. Almost all of the former players I have watched/listened to in interviews, podcasts etc say the same as Brad did above. How we were such a well run club, how John Williams and the rest of the Board did an excellent job and how we'd always look to improve and go one better. There's one comment from Brad on his Rovers days that sticks with me. He said the eight years he spent at Rovers weren't only the best eight years of career, they were also the best eight years of his life. The happiness on his face as he said it...he meant it. That hit me, as all I could think at the time was "mine too, Brad. Mine too". -

From our last season as a 'normal club'. "Dunny for England" 😁 . -
Hartberg players and staff looking around at our bench, wondering where De Bruyne and Haaland were! It is a friendly, but good to see us get among the goals. If we can address the striker/attack issue during this window, I genuinely think this is our year.

You can't have a Batth when the taps have been turned off. Venky's out.

You know the saying when somebody waffles on? "He/she said a lot without saying anything". That's what that offer reminds me of. Looks impressive on initial viewing simply due to the list form, until you read it. A money grabbing piss take.

I know some fans like to say "let's move on and look forward", which is their right to do so, but there are many things that have happened under these owners that are difficult to forget or 'move on' from for others. This Duffy scenario being just one of them. Yes, you're right. The three own goals came very early on. In the second and third games of the season, respectively. I'm glad such players are no longer arriving at the club. We may have buttons to play with in terms of transfers, but JDT and GB seem the sort who won't allow wasters to join the playing squad.

Yeah, Souness was in amongst Yorkie and Co celebrating the goal. It's not in the clip, but I have seen a photo of it somewhere. Love that! I wish that was on there. Haha. Same here, I didn't know that had even happened with the ball boy. No messing about. Shows how eager Brad was for us to get a result.
