I think that might be what it is. The rumour was that somebody removed him way back, maybe 10 years ago, to trim down the coaching staff. Only for him to be reinstated by Pasha, with both of them going to Pune to get it sealed. He has since been promoted and has become the eyes and ears of Pasha around the place and also appears to be part of a coaching package that new managers have to accept. He has connections to the old agency crew, but I think that might just be coincidence. The logical explanation has to be that Pasha and Co rate him as a coach and want to keep him around for as long as possible. We know how loyal they are to those they like. Take Kean for example. The issue here for me is, if he has been sacked/released, as mentioned a few weeks back in the LT...who has made this decision and why does Pasha not know about it? He's the head honcho here and a trusted Venky employee. Why is the news a surprise to him? (as suggested in the latest minutes). If he wasn't pretending to be surprised before the forum and he genuinely didn't know, it could add weight to the theory that he is just a face here and that the real string pullers are elsewhere. Another poster shared an opinion that there might be two opposing camps in the building and that this is why there are often tales of 'power struggles'. I'm of the same view. In my opinion, it feels as if we have a 'normal' camp and a 'numbers' camp. The 'normal' camp is the one the public sees and hears from. This camp consists of 'normal' footballing people operating under 'normal' football principles i.e ambition, trying to win, strategy, having plans in place, a desire for promotion etc. I think the likes of JDT, Broughton, Eustace, Ismael and Rudy are in this camp. The people in this camp come here thinking we are a 'normal club' and expect to find normality, but they are always left disappointed in the end. Then there's the 'numbers' camp which remains largely in the background and are seemingly headed by one individual. The same individual with the old agency links that never seem to go away, hence why, even if it's just theory and there's nothing to it, the coincidences appear to keep on leading back towards this direction. It's been a theme for many years...that things run 'normally' for a short while, everybody's aligned, fans, manager and players, optimism is in the air, then boom. Camp two strikes, whether that be because the 'numbers' can't be met for new signings, can't increase wages, can't push for promotion due to funds, can't meet what the manager is demanding or expecting etc and we always end up going back to square one. Cue the infighting between the "positive v negative" divide in the fanbase. A new 'project', a new 'journey'. More ins and outs. Who wins here? It has been like this for a very long time. So who exactly is winning out of the constant churns and resets?

Your last line reminds me of something Alan Myers said in a fantastic interview I heard him take part in. Myers said he once chased an agent out of the building when at Rovers and the MD at the time told him 'it's probably not a good idea if we throw agents out'. It's not related to the theme of your post, but at one time we did have an official who was ready to throw agents out if needed. That story can be heard at 2:21:25 below: He starts talking about Rovers from 1:58:25 and spends a good 20 minutes or so talking about his time at the club. Really good listen. He speaks fondly about the fans and the staff. Says we are his second club and that we have all been through so much and that he wants to see us back in the Premier League. Also states that the staff were doing the jobs of five people (no change there then?) At around 2:09:55 he talks about how things were going well, we had a 40 goal striker partnership, then suddenly there were financial issues. For anybody who hasn't got time to watch it, the follow on to the above is the golden quote from Alan (up until 2:10:40): "Suddenly there were financial issues and I didn't like the way it was going there...I could see relegation coming...I'm no football professional but I could feel things weren't right...so I resigned, because I'm principled, it's silly and it costs money, but if something's not right you've got to say it, I can't go in and steal a living by just going through the motions". Alan was talking about 2014/15 with that quote. The same thing applies today in 2025! WTF is going on here? 10/11 years on from the time Alan is taking about and still the same issues persist. Why? Financial issues, cheap punts, relegation vibes. This is all being discussed today as present concerns. We can see where it is heading, just like Myers could back then. Billionaire owners? Piss off. FFP? Piss off. Indian Court case? Piss off. Top man is Alan Myers. One of the real, genuine good guys that turned up here during this 15 year debacle. I'd love to have him back at Rovers under new ownership and a new Board. A proper professional who wants the club to succeed. It was Alan who was responsible for getting the historic timeline put up around the ground. He states this in the video. He wanted the fans to feel connected to the club again. He gets it. Then we saw what happened with the timelines discarded not long after. Night and day, is the difference between real operators and absolute charlatans.

No worries, Rev. I've put the link there so that anybody who has some free time and wants to check it out for themselves can take a look. I didn't know it was a thing either, but the documents clearly show many agents listed as representing the 'former club' (selling club) in transactions across the game. It appears to be normal practice, but I don't think it occurs in every sale. I want to know how it comes about, how does an agent get that particular role. Do they offer their services or are they chosen by senior people within clubs? What has emerged to me from studying these documents and looking at various other things over the last 15 years is a clear pattern. The pattern has been there from the start but took a sharp rise in 2015, oddly enough. I can't think what happened in 2015. I made two predictions based on that pattern a few months back and told the forum: Karanka is next in and keep an eye out for six clubs. A week after my first prediction...a friendly hack has Karanka down as the leading candidate, which the club denied. An agent trying to get Karanka (former Boro, former Birmingham) the gig? I think so. As for the second call...just look at this summer. Who wants ex Sunderland, currently out in India, as the new CEO? That's the first piece of speculation I saw this summer. Press rumours are press rumours I guess and people might say 'just paper talk' etc but again, there are a lot of coincidences that keep on happening.

I don't know for sure, but I'm assuming it's to do with carrying out the formalities, paperwork etc on behalf of the club. I recommend everybody to go through the official FA Agent Transactions documents which can be found on the link below. I take that to mean the agent who represented the former club upon the sale of the player in question. The more recent documents have a column titled 'Representing'. It then lists whether the agent involved was representing the player, the registering club (i.e his new club), or his former club or a combination of any of those.

The bit in bold is interesting as it could theoretically apply to our owners and the conduit too, if true. What I mean is, there was news of a so called falling out between the owners and Kentaro around 2011/12-ish and that the dispute was going to be taken to court. It was eventually settled out of court around 2013. That was the last we heard on that and the Venky's- Kentaro link apparently soured at that point. Assuming that to be true, why then did we choose to appoint managers and sign a few players connected to a Kentaro offshoot for years AFTER the above dispute between Venky's-Kentaro? Is it simply that the owners had no idea that the offshoot were close to the very people they 'fell out' with? (which is where the bit in bold could apply) Or is it that they left it to their trusted conduit here to handle matters? The conduit, not knowing how the game works, but having past friends and agent connections who could help him? Or him not knowing the backgrounds of the new agencies sat before him? If Kentaro had 143 agents in their stable, it's fair to say that even an experienced football operator might not know or recognise all of them. Never mind a non footballing man well out of his depth at a club that is too big for him to handle. Whatever it may be, official FA Agent documents show that we sold four players from 2016-2024 for a combined £18m. On each of those four deals a former SEM-Kentaro agent represented the club during the four exits. The last one was in 2024. Last year. Also, a loan signing we made last year...the agent that sat on the deal is a former Kentaro consultant. Now, I don't know how this works. Does an agent offer their services to a club by saying they can help the club out in such an instance i.e a player sale, purchase etc, and the club either accepts or turns the offer down? Or does a senior person at a club choose an agent to represent the club in a deal? If we are to assume that the agency stuff is all conspiracy, as many do, and that all of this is nothing more than clueless owners thousands of miles away who aren't arsed about football and an equally clueless conduit who knows nothing about the game, both showing themselves to be out of their depths, fair enough. It has some logic to it. However, there have been many coincidences that have popped up since 2010 and are still popping up to this day. At some point people start noticing these coincidences and patterns, especially when they keep pointing in the same direction.

The Cantwell exit talk could have something to it, if we think back to the info shared by the Rovers 'Insider' last season. That account could have been speculating with the following, but the info shared was that the signings of Batth, Weimann and Cantwell were supposedly 'compromise' signings sanctioned to prevent Eustace from walking last summer. Further, it was suggested that Waggott went direct to Pune, bypassing Pasha, to get those signings done. If true, it means Pasha didn't want them. Remember he had already said no to signing Batth a year earlier. Now that Eustace and Waggott have gone, Batth and Weimann have been allowed to leave. Cantwell being our highest earner, it would be no surprise at all if Pasha wants to move him on this window and save on the wages. This is a man who has little thought for on pitch quality, he has no idea what quality looks like, as can be seen by his ridiculous comments on Adam Wharton.

I disagree. I think we would have been relatively pleased given the circumstances. If we put it down in writing, this is what Derby's activity would have looked like for us, had we carried it out. Eustace stays as manager, plus: Batth and Weimann sign new deals. Sanderson and Beck return to us on loan for another year. Ozoh and Clark sign on loan. Brewster and Carlton Morris sign permanently. Agyemang signs for a big fee. Excitement and intrigue around him. Attacking options of Ohashi, Gueye, Brewster, Morris and Agyemang would give us real bite at this level. Even if we were to let Gueye leave, for example, we'd still have plenty of goal threat. Add Weimann to that too, despite his age. What we have at present isn't worth writing home about. Eustace would still be manager. Our best defender, Batth, would still be here. Our organised defensive structure would still be here. Add in all of the above and there would be some optimism about the season ahead. As it is, we are taking punts on cheap, unknowns. It's a hit and hope policy. These new lads might turn out to be good, but there's no way we can look at De Neve, Tavares and Co right now and claim our signings are better than club x, y and z and that we'd prefer these over certain other club's signings.

I think you're spot on. Also, you may remember me telling posters, just after Eustace left, to keep an eye out for a pattern that has been showing itself over the last 15 years. Re: Six clubs in particular. I said Karanka would be next in based off of that pattern. It didn't happen, but a hack had him down as the leading candidate for a time, which says plenty IMO. Looking at this summer...whatever it is, be it a small world, fishing in the same pool etc, the pattern is there again.

It's not the end of the world guys, Brittain was shit anyway. He's actually a greedy tosser, if we think about it. I'm sure Suhail did all he could to get him to stay, but we forget that we have to run the club as business and can't be blowing our wage structure and putting the club's future at risk. No player is bigger than the club and it's actually a good deal when looking at it from a business point of view. £3.5m in and £750k spent on a replacement. If we didn't have a replacement lined up, I'd be worried, but I have to give credit to Suhail for once. He's getting the hang of this, I feel. Maybe Rudy being here is what he needed to come out of his shell? The Hibs lad looks a good 'un any road. A unit and has the Neill/Emerton vibe about him. I suspect that this signing was an Adam Owen recommendation. He'll likely know all about Miller from his time at Hibs. If so, fair play Mr Owen. Let's see some more of this, please. An unrelated fun fact, though meaningless regards his playing ability and the signing, is that Miller came from playing in Australia and joined Hibs in 2022. A year earlier, a Mr Kean trod a similar path. Leaving work in Australia to join Hibs in 2022. It must be something in the water in Scotland. The world is so big, yet so small at the same time. A truly global game. I love all the different stories and seeing how people's careers pan out in the football world. Anyway, let's see if Suhail and Co can somehow get Rovers back to where we belong. It is exciting, as Rudy said. A part of me also wants Boro to go up with us. I miss the days of Ravanelli, Juninho and Emerson. Those were the days eh, Honeyman! How we would both love to be back there. We were also side by side as clubs in the 2000's for a time too. I quite like Boro and it's sad to see where we both are today. I'll make a guess based on a few patterns from over the years. Buckley to Blackpool. Probably for around £600k with add ons taking it nearer to £1m. I can see him being linked with Luton too. Not the most talented of players, but will still be a miss as he was often a nuisance for the opposition. He became more important as the years went by and was a key player these past couple of years. Of course, there are better players out there. He should be replaced properly, but we all know the age old question and concern regarding that. Gave it his all in a Rovers shirt, was good with the fans, particularly the kids and is an honest pro. Dolan was one of the good guys here and knew what a joke it is upstairs. There's no blame on him for leaving from me. It's a shame we don't have a proper Board and ownership here, Ty, and it's a bigger shame we couldn't get the club back to where we belong together. Thanks for your efforts though. Pasha out. It looks like it is close to 80k that they are saving on those players. I've seen the following site mentioned by a few neutrals as being the most reliable when it comes to player wages: https://www.capology.com/club/blackburn/salaries/ Assuming the above is correct, Brittain and Batth are already on 10k a week. If the whisper about a self imposed 10k a week limit is true, then we can see why Batth and Brittain haven't signed new deals so far. Forshaw has come in and is on 10k according to that, whilst Travis is supposedly on 3.4k. It has often been said that they have a different wage approach when it comes to Academy products. Dolan on £577 a week sounds ridiculous for a Championship first team regular, but it is believable under this setup.

It is Eid on Saturday in India, for the Muslim population living there. It's likely he has gone to spend time with family there over Eid. Alternatively, it may be that Glen's regular updates to Pune have prompted them to call him in for talks. If it is the latter, there are only one of two things he could say to them that would be acceptable, in my view: 1) Either, he tells them "I'm out", as the pressure is getting too much for him. This would leave them in limbo, "confused", and push them closer towards the exit door, IMO. 2) Or, he advises them to call it a day and sell up. Nothing else is good enough.
