  1. Good to hear from Richard Dinnis again. A top co-commentator for Rovers games on Radio Lancs back in the day. Both make fair points there. There's no reason why we can't make it back to the Prem. The size of our crowds is not a sticking point, like some try to do us down with. We just need investment. As both of them suggest.
  2. That's the type of move we should be attempting. It's the kind of thing John Williams would have tried, but this lot? They can't handle any manager with ambition, so there's no chance. Wouldn't be surprised to see Terzic managing Brighton some time soon. They are doing what we used to do.
  3. Him and Jordan combined have done a sterling job in taking some of the heat away from where it should be. The good thing is, not everybody is going to be swayed by that and we have people like Henry Winter in our corner.
  4. Simon Jordan's whole basis for blaming Eustace is underpinned by two of his own bugbears when he was a club owner: 1) Gratitude 2) Entitlement He's always harping on about managers and players needing to be grateful. "Be grateful" (sounds familiar). In this instance, he has both today and yesterday reiterated that "Eustace should be grateful to Blackburn for giving him an opportunity". This is a generic point made by Jordan who knows NOTHING about what has gone on here over the past 14 years. If he had any clue how this lot operate, he would not be calling Eustace out on the basis of gratitude. Secondly, he's often laying into players and managers for being 'entitled'. Doesn't matter which club or player it is, he has done this multiple times. Again, he has personal scars from his club ownership days, which he is, IMO, wrongly applying to Eustace based on nothing but "my nose says". He is making out, based on nothing but a guess, that Eustace got too big for his boots, didn't get what he wanted and therefore scarpered. These views are a problem in our cause to have the Rovers fans unite against the real issue. Why? Because there are already some Rovers fans that have listened to Jordan's views who have decided he must be right because he was a former club owner. He knows better than us, therefore Eustace is an ungrateful snake. His views are based on nothing but his "nose for these things". He needs to stfu and stop applying his own personal grievances with players/managers from yesteryear into this matter. He's unintentionally feeding the anti Eustace narrative and backing the owners. He hasn't got a clue what has been going on at Rovers since late 2010.
  5. Fair, but I still think it was a token comment. A hint of truth in it maybe, the casual observer/listener would readily accept it and move on. Nowhere near being the real reason though. The issue is, IMO, some of our own fans taking that to be the main reason for his exit and piling on Eustace as a result. The very same response from some quarters as they gave to JDT 12 months ago. Some people will never learn. It seems to be the way of this corrupt world. The good guys who want to win and are trying to help you are the villains. The people who try and point this out are 'conspiracy theorists'. The bad guys who don't give a shit about you and are in reality your enemy are lauded as being the saviours. The people praising them are lost and being led a merry dance. It doesn't just apply to Rovers or football either.
  6. I'm not paying any attention to the "family reasons" thing that is out there regarding Eustace. IMO, it's being used as a cover story but many are running away with it to wrongly bash Eustace. Playing straight into the hands of the enemy. "If he wants to be near his family, why did he take the Rovers job, he knew he'd be away from them, good riddance" etc. To me, what Elliott Jackson's information from this morning shows is that, much like us here, Eustace had the hierarchy sussed as being useless early doors. He saw a pair of bluffers who had no idea, no ambition and who weren't going to get him what he needed. Like us, he had hope that John Park might be able to do something for him in the window, but then Park walked. Along with him went that hope. He then became desperate to get out but had a contract tying him down. Let's not forget, the pair of bluffers attempted to renege on a previous agreement to allow him the McGuire money last summer. He was set to resign before they met him in the middle. This set the tone, though. He knew they weren't serious operators. Whilst we post about it here, Eustace was in the thick of it, dealing with them regularly. We don't know what other kind of bullshit he may have had to put up with, but the fact is he was bound by a contract. Hence, IMO, his desperation to get out and him being linked with numerous jobs. I don't see the latter as him being a traitor or disloyal or a 'snake'. It is not normal for a manager to be linked with all and sundry like Eustace was. There had to be a reason for that to keep on happening. It only needs one minute of speaking with Pasha to know that he is a dud when it comes to football. He can't help anybody on a footballing front. I know this close hand from a regular fan. The last 10 years show that he has not learnt the basics of football. He has no idea about player values, the need to reinvest, buying 'assets', the need to renew contracts etc and we are seeing all of this plain and clear. If a regular fan can see Pasha as being useless in that role, then somebody as experienced within the game as JDT or Eustace will spot it instantly. It is not a surprise Eustace wanted out, as he could see what he was dealing with. He shouldn't be blamed for trying to leave, IMO. This is a uniquely shit situation, a uniquely shit setup, where an ambitious manager stands no chance. Two managers have left in the same way now, both have named the bluffers either directly or indirectly upon leaving. None of this is a coincidence, in my view. If this was a normal club with a normal Board, I would be partly blaming Eustace and would be angry about him looking elsewhere for the past few months. Under this regime though, I get it. I don't like it, but I absolutely get why he wanted out. Just like JDT, it became a desperate need to leave. It's not a good look for all concerned, true, but I'm not blaming Eustace. He is not the enemy, just like JDT wasn't the enemy. Most of us know where the problems lie, despite whatever PR bullshit certain hacks might put out.
  7. It'll probably be some former Boro knobhead suggested by one of their trusted pals. I'll guess at Aitor Karanka.
  8. Very well said. It means so much to all of us which is why we are so angry. It's why most of us are on here everyday, it's why we are so fiercely against the hierarchy. They do not share our desire for the club to succeed. They do not share the desire of their managers to succeed and are absolutely ruining the experience of watching Rovers for everybody. Therefore, they are the enemy of the football club. Anybody defending these people has nothing where their heart should be. Their hearts have gone. These rotten owners and their yes men have ruined and wasted the last 15 years of our lives when it comes to Rovers. That's the truth of the matter. Before anybody tries it...I know nobody has a right or entitlement to see their club win all the time or to be in the top flight. That's not what I'm saying. What we are entitled to expect is for the owners to treat our club with the respect it deserves, to recognise what they own and to at least TRY to be successful. These scumbags couldn't care less and are driving away manager after manager and in the process, fan after fan. They are ruining this for all of us and it is particularly bad for the little 'uns like your son and many others who know nothing but this manufactured mess. At least us older fans saw the real Rovers before these bastards hijacked it. I feel for the younger fans who have never seen what real football and ambition looks like. I just hope that something is about to happen to crush this lot and we can get back to being normal fans again. That feeling is very much missed. This lot will pay for what we have been through, no doubt. That's not a threat, but they will feel it down the line.
  9. Most of us already knew it, but tonight shows what a snide bastard Nixon is. For years now, including during the last 3 shambolic windows, he has been responding to fan criticism of the owners with patronising bollocks like "relax, they've got the money" or "they've got the money but...". Always eager to defend this lot. Always eager to big up the hierarchy. After the January window closes, he puts out a smug piece talking about the "much maligned club" doing the business late on. It read like a go at the fans. In the same piece he made Waggott out to be a hero for getting Dennis in on a reduced wage. This evening though, he has taken it to a whole new level. It's clear whose side he is on. This is the same guy that once called Kean a "wee gem", let's not forget. We're all stupid though. What have JDT or Eustace done to be described as "wee gems". The club is better off without the pair of them. Aye.
  10. I've not caught up with the thread yet, but have just seen the disgusting piece of propaganda from a puppet. Notice how Eustace is the problem now. Just like JDT was the problem. Same old script. Bullshit put out to protect the ownership. Eustace didn't play his best players. Eustace often wants to leave clubs. Eustace got what he wanted but still complained. It was a relief that Eustace left in the end, said some insider. (Exact same put out about JDT). This is all PR bollocks. The fans need to unite now more than ever against the enemy.
  11. Exactly. That's the thing that those who sneer at Rovers and our attendances, such as the small time North End and Dingle brigade, plus others, very conveniently overlook. If any of them had to put up with 15 years of this Venky's cursed bullshit, their attendances would be just as low, if not lower than ours. Their fans would be just as furious as ours and they would also have plenty walk away until new owners arrive. Far easier to just say "plastics" though and "shit support" from their bitter, jealous, small, glass houses. Keep on crowing about a shitbag like Ashley Barnes, who nobody around the world of football fans remembers or gives a damn about. That's as good as it gets for you, Dingles. Keep on crowing about some nobody doing a chicken dance at Ewood once upon a time as a goal celebration. Joe Garner or something? Who? Nobody knows who he is or who your club is around the world. That's as good as it gets for you, Nobend pillocks. While we have memories of the real Garner, Shearer, Sutton, Newell, Gallacher, Jansen, Cole, Duff, Dunn, Tugay and many, many, more. While we look back on the damage we did to the big guns before these scumbags arrived. We will be back once the poison is removed and the Dingles and Nobbers know it, which is why they see nothing wrong with Venky's. As for Derby and that reporter...dream on. Your attendances have won what for you over the last 50 years? Big club, though. You're only getting Eustace because of our disgraceful owners. Dingles and Nobend are only beating us or getting near us due to our disgraceful owners. Bit of a theme there. But no, "plastics" it is.
  12. I'm going for Aitor Karanka to rock up here. Though one of those cheaper, low key names is more likely. Karanka has enough of an 'exotic appeal' to win over some of the fanbase. They can trot out the 'he plays good football' line. He's out of work and is former Boro and Birmingham. Would he come here? I think he would. He would probably face the same issues months down the line as previous managers, but that's another matter. There are always a few out there that think "I can fix it", even when everything says avoid those owners.
  13. It suggests that something has happened to really piss Eustace off. Something that we don't know about, but which makes it very difficult for him to stay. Iceman mentioned a moral angle. It may well be that there is a partly moral reason behind this, if the treatment of Siggy is the final straw. Siggy used the word 'dishonest' when talking about how the club have acted towards him in not registering him. Eustace an hour ago, used the word 'honesty' when describing the fans, the players and himself and the desire of all three in wanting the club to succeed. Remember when JDT lost it a year ago and was about to explode? They barred him from doing the press conference. Things got so bad for him to reach that point. My point is, things seem to reach such a low stage under this hierarchy that managers feel it necessary to get out as soon as possible. It's for that reason, that logical points and questions such as:15 games left, what about the fans? What about the team? The project? Togetherness? Etc...all go out of the equation. Proper managers can't tolerate how this lot operate and need to get out. Lambert. JDT. Eustace. In this case, opting for Derby in the relegation zone bothers us majorly as fans, but says it all about the joke of a setup. None of us deserve this crap. This shit isn't football.
  14. He's done a JDT by naming the pair who need to speak with him. Good man. A smart move also to mention honesty of the fans, the players and him in wanting the club to be successful. It's clear for all to see now. He has put it at their door. If he leaves, it is because he did not receive assurances from those named and they are fine with him leaving.
  15. Aitor Karanka. Currently out of work. Former Birmingham. Former Boro. I think he might be the one. In any case, keep a look out for any ex Sunderland, Birmingham, Boro, Coventry and Hibs being in the frame. This is about this lot's friendly advisors, not the clubs themselves.
  16. Personally think the Sigurdsson situation is the final straw that has led to this seemingly immediate departure to Derby. If we think about it, Eustace is said to have offered his resignation twice last summer due to promises being reneged on. They managed to meet him halfway by bringing in a few signings. Fast forward a few months, the January window has not gone the way Eustace wanted. He is saying "club signings" for a reason. To tell us that they, not he, picked them. He is distancing himself from those above him by often repeating "me and the players". Based off the Sigurdsson article from yesterday, he mentions Eustace telling him that he had a key role to play in the remainder of the season. Clearly, Eustace wanted Siggy to stay. If somebody above his head, has decided that Sigurdsson has to go then surely this would act as the final straw? It's not about the player's quality or fitness record, though that is what we discuss here. It's a decision which makes Eustace look like a prick after he told the player he has a role to play. It makes the club look a joke. It's not right on Sigurdsson and I can see Eustace being gutted for him being omitted like this. It shows Eustace there's no chance with this lot running the place. I honestly think this is the tipping point. Not the main reason, but the one that has possibly made him think "I'm done. I need to get out. Now". IMO, a combination of resignation already being in his mind (based on the summer), not being backed as he wanted last month, then seeing a player left out like that at the end. That's how I see it. I wanted Eustace out very early doors due to his "no excuse culture" comments, thinking he was a Waggott stooge. I was wrong on that. This season, I saw a winning mentality from Eustace and that changed my view of him. That's what I want to see from any Rovers manager, a desire to win. He was doing a superb job to have us in the mix and just needed reasonable backing from above. The bastards above have never had a winning aim at this club, however. The man leaves similarly to JDT. Both managers were on our side. They had ambition and wanted Rovers to kick on, to go up. Both managers and the fans, have been let down by tossers that should be nowhere near the club. Nothing changes for the better until the poison is removed from this club.
  17. I think there will be questions from the outside this time simply because it involves Eustace leaving another side that was sitting inside the top 6. The first time round he was sacked by Birmingham and that caused a bit of a noise on talksport etc with their owners getting stick. If he was to leave of his own accord this time to join relegation zone Derby, that speaks volumes and is certain to raise eyebrows. It would be up to us fans then to really bombard these phone ins, social media accounts and so on with our views on the mess. Get Pasha's name out there. Get Waggott's name out there. This lot want to hide and stay in the shadows and pretend it's all good and that the stay away fans are the issue. Time for us to change the narrative and stick it on them.
  18. I think Eustace now understands why the crowds are as they are. The new boys, I agree on. It might come as a bit of a shock to them tomorrow.
  19. I'm not sure how Sigurdsson is supposed to be in the wrong here. Tell him in good time, with the window still open, that the club wish to move him on as he isn't part of the plans. No problem at all. Most players can accept that. However, allow the manager and a clown above him, to tell Siggy he still has a future and can play an important role in the final run in this season. Then, suddenly omit him from the squad and break the news to him after the window has shut, meaning he is either forced into leaving or stuck in limbo. Absolute bastard move, IMO (not on Eustace's part). He has every right to feel aggrieved. It doesn't matter if he has been injured or that he should have somehow anticipated this might happen. He was given hope of playing for the club again and it's been taken away on a whim, because it is likely that somebody, somewhere is sweating about saving a few quid. There's a way of doing things and this is not it. It's classless stuff again from a bunch of amateurs which makes our club look even more of a joke under their watch. Siggurdsson, just like JDT, just like Lambert, just like Mowbray (towards the end) is not wrong to call this lot out.
  20. I think it needs somebody like Sutton or Shearer to really put the spotlight on this situation via social media. Either via a twitter post or during one of their podcasts. When they speak, wider football fans and fans of their platforms tend to pay attention. If one of them says Venky's need to leave, that needs to be trending everywhere and presented to the lemmings. Sutton's lad is said to closely follow Rovers' matters (like many of us) and give updates to his dad. He may be a visitor here. If he is a reader/member of this forum...please put the word in with your dad. Let's get Big Al, Sherwood and other big names on board to speak out. WATR issuing a fitting response to Eustace leaving, along with all of us getting after them will turn the heat up. The time has come for that. Even if no former player say anything, the two things above need to happen, IMO. We can't have these bastards driving manager after manager away and allowing consecutive January top 6 placings to be batted away. Their PR merchants and puppet journos can piss off. It's easy to spot who they are. I see they don't mention anything about the Court situation in India? Funny, that. F#(k.off!! The question we need to get out there is: "Why are people who have no interest in and no knowledge of football, and who remain hiding thousands of miles away, happy to throw money away every year, without EVER making an attempt to win promotion?". If Eustace does leave for Derby, even those who have been sleeping and who only look at the League table will surely start to ask questions. "Eh, why has he gone to a team in the relegation zone?" "Erm, why do you think?".
  21. The wrong time for us to be playing them, IMO. We might have had a chance of making it a close game five weeks ago when Tronstad was fit and our defence was generally looking resolute. Now though, we're looking soft centred and are up against a team with many technical and quick players. Even if they rest Cunha and Ait-Nouri, they've still got Guedes, Hee-Chan and either Gomes in midfield for us to deal with. Bellegarde looks ordinary by Prem standards, but is a worldie by Championship standards. They will have too much for us, IMO. I think our best hope is our new signings starting and catching them by surprise. The pace and movement of Kargbo and Dennis could cause issues and it's a new start for Woodrow too, so you never know. It looks a tall order though.
  22. Miller certainly knows what time it is regarding the owners and their running of the club. He was just as pissed off as most of us on here when he was a regular poster. Same goes for oldjamfan, IMO. Both know what the problems are and what needs to happen. I suspect they may now be in a tricky position. If you want to continue having dialogue with the hierarchy, you can't be seen to be critical on here. It also depends on what approach the rest of the Trust leadership favours, I suppose. IMO, the 'critical friend' stance is well meant, but futile because those at the top don't give a shit. There is no befriending the enemy. Others have tried to give this lot friendly advice and not got far with it. I recall the QEGS crew being pretty big on trying to be friendly with the owners and steering them in the right direction. They also hoped for a seat on the Board and one of their gang would often finish his posts on here with "We are the Rovers". Is the name WATR just a coincidence or are those QEGS individuals involved?
  23. That's the one. Also supposed to have said "there's nothing special about Blackburn Rovers". The nerve to say something like that infront of a few fans. He's lucky those fans were there in a professional capacity. Sums up this ownership though and the people they have had in senior roles. Not one of them good enough or deserving of being at this club.
