A continuation of the Transfers/Thursday deadline thread- who would you like us to bring in on loan? Who do you expect us to bring in on loan? Be good....

You said you expected we would bring in more than we ultimately have done, so if people are the same as that and they’re disappointed, why are you criticising them for a lack of faith in our manager? Logic on that....

It’s been disappointing so far, there’s obviously a chance to turn it around with loans and loans with an option to purchase, if that’s really a thing? Bottom line for me- we’ve had enough time to get deals sorted and we haven’t. That’s not hyperbole/overreaction/spitting my dummy out, just the cold hard facts.

I'll be honest, whilst we aren't the only club affected here, it isn't 'negative' to say that it's been a disappointing day if we fail to bring any permanent signings in. Particularly after we were 'expected' to make signings. Fair enough, this may have been the result of attention-seeking behaviour/dick-teasing ITKs, but knowing the deficiencies in the squad, we need more players!!

Being real though, as much as we hate doing this, unless things 'calm down' (LOL), there will most likely be folk in the sin bin (not together, obviously), folk receiving warnings and maybe even bans. To be fair, all the talk about potential meltdowns and 'Positive vs Negative VII: This time it's still duller than dishwater' If we don't have sufficient signings by the end of today, it's not acceptable. We've known for ages when the deadline is. Fair enough if we're signing loans with a view to buy as well, but we need numbers in ASAP, I don't think anyone can realistically argue with that.

Being honest, we need a striker in by the weekend (so by the end of today) as a priority. Along with whatever business we do by the deadline. Strikers cost the most cash, so I'd be happier with us spending our budget on that, but if there isn't one good enough within budget and we have to rely on the loan market, then so be it.....

Never said you were a fan of them, to be fair. It was more in response to your mention of the ‘narrative’ on here, which was a bit mischievous and we don’t need. Any fan of the club would want us to spend as much as we could, I’ve no doubt about that....

I think you’re referring to ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ and whilst I know what that is, I know I’ve never used that to describe Rovers fans and their relationship with Venky’s. Though others have in the past, admittedly.

Well, at this stage, we'll probably have to play a blinder to get enough permanent signings in before the deadline, so assuming we don't, then it looks like we'll be relying on loans, which as JH said, isn't ideal. I just hope I'm wrong and we do play that blinder!
