  1. There's nothing wrong with suggesting first team players. We need players that can go straight into the first team and improve the squad. Squad fillers will make sure we stand still and if we stand still, we go backwards.....
  2. Tbh, the only thing I don't like about it is the sponsor, proper ruins it. Like when we had the Crown Paints box in black and looked like 'Crown Paints FC'.
  3. Funnily enough, that was where David Cotterill played last, earlier this year. Three appearances for a team there...
  4. Doves- Pounding The Beatles- Helter Skelter Chronixx- Here comes trouble (ok, maybe that’s a bit edgy and a bit of a long shot).
  5. ‘Paper. Tomorrow. Hopefully’. Nixon isn’t even trying any more! Absolute wasteman.
  6. A professional footballer being as unfit as Caddis has been since he's been here, is an absolute disgrace. If we docked his wages until he got up to speed, I'm sure that would get him up to speed a little more quickly....
  7. As much as I’m glad we are getting key players tied down to long term contracts to make it more difficult for other teams to buy them, I’m concerned that these are going to be instead of new signings... Maybe I’m getting cynical in my old age!
  8. Seems like we all have a different definition of writing off. Nothing wrong with making observations about people's careers, it's only the same as getting excited about a striker that's scored loads of goals, to be fair.....
  9. Makes me laugh seeing people criticise people for being arrogant as a reason not to hire someone. It's a results business and they get results. You're talking about a potential player or a manager, not a future son-in-law!
  10. There's nothing wrong with criticising a manager, club or country, I'm not sure why folk are so sensitive to criticism of a manager where it is justified. Pre-tournament, we wouldn't have argued with the semi finals, but the way it transpired, it's only natural to wonder what might have been if we'd done things differently. I.E.- from the second half onwards, if we could all see we were getting battered, surely Southgate could, so why didn't he make a change to counter it? The criticism of having no Plan B is totally justified IMO.
  11. Whatever happens tonight, as much as I'll be gutted we haven't reached the final if we lose, I'm so happy that pride in the shirt has been restored and that there has been such a feeling of strength and unity behind the lads for the first time in years. I'm as proud as punch of what these lads have achieved by reaching the Semi-Finals. I didn't for a minute think we'd get this far before the tournament started. No off the pitch nonsense, no talk of players being bored, no player criticising the fans to the camera after a pathetic performance, just strictly positive vibes only. And long may that continue.
  12. I'd also like to know this!
  13. His numbers suggest otherwise and he's still only relatively young. Although he's massively let down by his diving, he has a very good goal scoring record at club (269 in 439 appearances) and international level. (57 in 90). It's a funny old game.....
  14. Interesting that Giroud is getting so much stick on here. He's got a very good record for France and usually always chips in with vital goals. Admittedly though, he wasn't great last night. With that being said, I do think France could easily line up without him and look stronger. If England get to the final, we've one hell of a fight on our hands to bring football home against the French IMO......
  15. Didn’t actually think this would be a goer... https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44785173
  16. If the squad haven’t been paid, then it’s bang out of order. Simple as, really. It seems like this isn’t an isolated incident, either. Saw a few comments from fans querying why players haven’t been paid when they’ve had the money from the sale of Madine etc as well. In any event, I can’t stand that lot and they were happy enough to dance on our grave, so balls to them.
  17. Shirts had been £40 for years, which isn’t ideal, but it is what it is. Being over that is probably too much tbh, but I don’t think it’s outrageous money. However from a practical point of view, I never buy one as I wouldn’t wear one and you could get a decent polo shirt for that price that you could wear on other occasions...
  18. I never thought I’d ever say this, but this sounds like it was the role Saxoman (or one of his many aliases) was born for. Now, if you’ll excuse me, for completely unrelated reasons, I’m off for a shower....
  19. There's no point him being a journalist any more, given his recent success rate.....
  20. Whilst I am definitely Rovers before I'm England, I still very much enjoy any success of the England National Football Team in the same way I enjoy Rovers!
  21. He shouldn’t, he’s not banned...
  22. Because we have no left footers in the team bar the goalkeeper. Very sad (for me as a left footer especially).
  23. He does. To be honest though, Thomas Delaney- strong Danish name.....
  24. We did, he got played on the right wing and is now being linked with moves for £20 Million.....
