I wouldn’t use Burnley as an example of attractive football on a lower budget, Chaddy.... It seems like you’re using two different arguments and getting confused, hence the perceived holes. Low budgets can sometimes lead to successful football, similarly football that prioritises style over substance can be successful. But it tends to be the case that the teams that spend the most, have the most success as they can afford the best players. Who in turn, play the most attractive football....

We never seem to win at Bolton. We won the first time I went, then every other time I’ve been, we’ve lost.... I’ve twice been to Molineux and I’ve a 100% record there, though!

The Freemasons at Wiswell seems to be winning a lot of awards. Everyone that I know that’s been speaks highly of it as well.

Paul Cook is still an absolute thunder @#/?, but to be fair, Wigan have taken to this division like a duck to water...

I'm very concerned that they will find their form against us, as teams often seem to do. With that being said, I do think if we can get an early goal, the natives will start to get restless and the players will start to struggle.....

Yeah, he may be, but I'm talking specifically re posts on here. I don't do Twitter. Good grief, people get it wrong sometimes and do a complete 180, there's nobody more fickle than football fans. People are capable of changing their mind. A poster on here called Rudy Gestede a poor man's Leon Best once! Ultimately, if he bangs the goals in and becomes a hero, we're all winners. There's no point getting too wound up by people's opinions anyhow, it's only pixels on a screen. :-) I've said some daft things, as has everyone else on here from time to time, out of over 10,000 posts, looking back, there are some I rather wish I hadn't made, but such is life.....

I don't think anyone is 'writing him off' just yet, they're just commenting on what they've seen so far. I've only seen him for half an hour against Villa and there was nothing that concerned me to be honest. He'll need time to bed in to a new team, adapt to new team-mates, a new area etc. It's a lot of change to take in all at once. To me anyway, writing him off would be saying 'he's useless', 'a terrible signing' etc. As far as I can see, all people have posted about is based what they've seen so far. The key words being 'SO FAR'.

Glenn Murray isn’t quite 35 yet, but otherwise you’re right. Some of the comments against Palmer and Graham especially on here are just mental. The way some people go on about Graham is like he’s 45 and in traction... Perspective and that.

A Dack corner, to Mulgrew worked pretty well against Donny away last season.....

We've adapted well enough, but there's certainly room for improvement. We're not getting smashed out of sight with regularity and by and large I think we're doing fine so far. I don't think think that we'll go down, but I also don't think we've any danger of getting in the play-offs either. Mid-table is about where I think we'll finish and to be honest, for a promoted team, if that happens, we can't really grumble with that.

I think we certainly need some changes in personnel for the next game, based on comments so far. Fundamentally, I don’t see the point in signing players if we’ve no intention of getting them on the pitch. Just glad we didn’t lose, it sounded fairly ominous after the first half!
