I can’t agree with this strongly enough. Can people please stop hinting that they know something, using that to ridicule people’s views and then not elaborating. To clarify, by players, I meant those he was playing with at that time I.E Gillespie and Ferdinand.

If Shearer had or has an ego, it’s probably justified. He was better than all those players mentioned and he’s the all time PL scorer.

Is it the fickleness of our supporters? Or is it being angry at the team playing terribly and voicing this opinion? There are some weird folk knocking about who aren’t happy unless they’re criticising our fans. I’ve never known anything like it.

Strange post match interview, that one. Almost sounded embittered that we had scored from open play, but then says we have to find a way to win. (I very much agree with the latter, but it seems completely contradictory).

Many problems with how the team was set up in the first half by the sounds of things, but just glad we got the win in the end! Let’s just hope we learn from our mistakes next time round and play our players to their strengths!

By this, do you mean he’s as bad as Jason Lowe? I’m confused. I never saw Lowe smash into tackles like Travis does. The two are like night and day in the way they play.

Nice to keep a clean sheet I suppose, but our lack of goals continues to be a huge concern. Absolutely baffles me that we don’t try anything different. Even playing wingers out wide and Gallagher in the middle. Revolutionary, I know. Tony seems to love breaking it when it doesn’t need to be fixed, but not fixing it when it is clearly broken….

Their goal difference, despite getting smashed in tonight, isn’t actually that bad, compared to their rivals, so they may be right enough in the end, but Christ, they are under achieving. Lampard was far too risky an appointment for a relegation battle when he has no experience of fighting in one….
