We need the following, all 'oven ready', to improve our dire first 11 - make no mistake, last night showed how poor we really are: Goalie, right back, centre back, left back, midfielder with creativity, another striker and two wingers who can really drive with the ball. Dolan doesn't need competition, he simply needs to be out the club. Always looks busy but achieves very, very little. Will come nowhere, nowhere near replacing Szmodics.

A friend said to me tonight 'Vale isn't doing much' which quite startled me as I hadn't realised he was even playing as he was that annonymous. Would beg to differ. Beck underwhelming. Eustace said signings to improve the team. Is Beck an upgrade on Pickering - think not Cantwell - no, no and no again. IMO, a legend only in his own mind - hasn't he downed tools at Rangers and been relegated to the stiffs!? Not the type of attitude we want here. Would go: Hilton Duru, Batth, McFadzean, Batty Weimann, JRC, Buckley, Siggy Gueye, Ohashi Hilton isn't up to it but we can’t risk going to Burnley with Hilton in goal should Pears play against Blackpool and get either injured or sent off (hopefully we have a new goalie before Saturday but no guarantees with our shower of a sh1te management). After Burnley's performance at Luton, I didn't think we had a prayer. However, it's clear things aren't all well over at Turf Moor. I actually think we've rode our luck a bit in the 3 league games so far and 7 points is a wee bit flattering. First goal is going to be vital and I think Burnley will come out the blocks very quickly. Would like to see the ins and outs this week for both clubs before calling it, however, I think our chances of getting a result after significantly improved since Burnley's opening win at Luton
