Heart ruling head here! Plonked winnings from early Thirsk Winner (Sergeant Wilko) on two Rovers' bets, win at 2/1 and 3-1 scoreline at 28/1. Don't let me down lads - turn up today and give them hell! -

For me: Kaminski in goal - Pears improved but Kaminski more likely to make those key saves. Defence picks itself injuries apart. Expect JRC to start (looked more of a fatigue issue). Hope Pickering back as Brittain dire the other night and looked to have tweaked his hammy. Midfield - would go with Travis, Wharton and Morton who dominated against Huddersfield. We need 3 in there. Up front - we need goals and that HAS to mean Leonard. It's clear the lad has an eye and a nose for goal and it's also about being in the right place at the right time. Think Gallagher's season is over the way he pulled up - that was not a mere tweak. As for Brereton, don't care if I don't see him again -won't be missed. PNE start favourites and we need to go at them from the start all guns blazing and seize the initiative. How we perform will all be down to JDT's selections and tactics. If bold and brave we WIN, if timid and safe then our season's over. -

I'd be delighted if our Lowe (David) was also absent from the touchline permanently for Rovers!!! -

A devastating but not unsurprising finish. JDT's game management was appalling tonight. When he took Adam Wharton off with only minutes to go, it changed the game. 2 or 3 up then I get it but finely poised then no chance. Our substitutions just made everything worse. Just wtf does Morton offer? Dolan was like a schoolboy and totally lost. Brittain was sh1te tonight as was Brereton. Brereton should not play for us again. I think he's half arsed (caught unnecessarily offside which gave Coventry opportunity to get in our half and get a corner which led to our goal), concedes stupid and petulant fouls and looks a very poor player. Being saying for weeks that Adam Wharton must start games - I would suggest our play off place would already have been secured if, IMO, JDT had not p1ssed about with the lad. Gallagher injured and likely to miss the rest of the season - Leonard HAS to start, can he really offer any less than Brereton and Dolan!? I don't blame the ref nor linesman for not spotting the handball - even on TV it was a difficult one. They should have ended up with 10 men as indeed should we (lucky man there Travis). No doubt we are up against it now - reminds me a little bit of the final matches in 1991/92 season and we know how that season finished. One can only live in hope. Tonight was devastatingly disappointing but at least the curry and wine were spot on! -

What a wonderful midfielder Adam Wharton is. A marvellous control of the ball. He will one day run England's midfield. One of life's great mysteries as to why JDT has p1ssed him about. He might just get us into the PL THIS SEASON . -

Which Rovers' lot will turn up tonight - hungry young men and men of steel or the 'bottling boys' who wilt at the merest whiff of pressure? Heart, as always, says Rovers, head says Coventry by at least a goal. Stuck money on Coventry at slightly better than 2/1 so there will be at least some consolation should we lose. Tired of saying it - Adam Wharton MUST start as MUST Leonard. Pretty certain JDT will bottle it and keep at least Leonard on the bench if not both. Fortune favours the brave and from what I've seen these two lads don't harbour fear and are Rovers through and through - don't be an imbecile JDT and cut these lads loose, give them their heads and tell them to fire us to the play-offs. Going to be a long night, sadly, I don't think it's going to be a happy one and JDT will face a flurry of brickbats over selection and tactics in recent games which have cost us so very, very dearly. -
Only one man is to blame for our descent into a Mowbray style 'death spiral' and that, IMO, is JDT. Read Sharpe's article about JDT justifying his team selection - think it's utter bullsh1t. Why would you change from the team that played superbly against Huddersfield in the 2nd half? That performance level would have rolled Hull over by half time. Changes were needed at half time. FFS, what do you expect Adam Wharton and Leonard to do when brought on with only minutes to go. IMO, Gallagher is not a footballer and shouldn't play for Rovers again. Think Brereton has been dreaming of Spain for too long and we don't need him and FFS STOP DIVING and committing stupid fouls and then claiming innocence. Adam Wharton and Leonard MUST start against Coventry. Wharton showed with one pass last night he's got more in his locker than Morton ever will. As at Huddersfield, Leonard showed he gets in the right places to score goals and given a run, I believe he will score goals for fun at this level. Wake up JDT and smell the coffee before the spineless and useless bottlers and can't be arsed you select allow our season to bow out with a whimper with a glorious opportunity spurned.
-
I really think Brereton is brainless. IMO, goes down likes he's been shot too often and commits blatant fouls and expects to get away with it.
-
He's well and truly sussed - needs to stay on his feet, more like Jacques-Yves Cousteau!
-
In feckin shock. No Adam Wharton, no Leonard yet Morton and Gallagher - feck off JDT.
-
Would be no surprise with the mop of fair/blonde hair he had - think he fancied himself as a 'bit of a lad'.
-
The wheelings and dealings of one Kenneth Furphy! Bell's career never took off and i think he only played a few games for Palace - ended up playing in South Africa and America if I'm correct.
-
Think we got Hunter from Oldham for about £30k and Bobby Robson stole him for Ipswich (where he was a rock for 10 years or so) and used Bobby Bell as a 'make weight' and if I recall correctly we sold Bell to Palace only days later. Big Al was a quietish guy but a man of steel who you wouldn't want to cross - remember reading somewhere that he once threatened to 'really sort out Terry Butcher' in the Ipswich dressing room over a protestant/catholic issue!
-
What a midfield player! Think 'Quig' stole him from Preston (think we got him for £30/40k). Aggression and dynamism personified, Ken had a superb work rate and had the lot for a midfielder (tackle, pass and score goals with that terrific shot of his - must have averaged a goal every 5/6 games). What he would be worth today!

A big call? An easy decision, a no brainer - think Gallagher is now done and finished with Rovers. Does Leonard start? An absolute no brainer - IMO, in 35 minutes showed more than Hirst and Vale ever will and looked 10 times the natural footballer Gallagher isn't. Leonard is a real talent. He and Adam Wharton are two gems. JDT needs to stop p1ssing about and give them their heads. -

Great come back! Sadly, a point today might prove not to be enough come the end of the season. RJC - superb. Leonard LOOKS a player and unlucky not to net at least one goal. Nicely built lad, good movement, an eye and a nose for goal and not overawed. MUST STARTERS for Saturday: Kaminski, Adam Wharton and Leonard. -

We need feckin goals - Leonard scores for fun. Get him on NOW - nothing to lose. If Gallagher is the answer I give up. -

Feckin embarrassing. Advocated Kaminski started here - Pears at fault with both. Take your chances and win matches. Commentator said 'it's what you do with the feckin ball not how much you have of it'. Men against the bottling boys. Our feckin horrendous window is now biting us in the bum big time - hang your head in shame Broughton. -

Heart says Rovers, head says Huddersfield. Have backed Huddersfield at 2/1 - would be delighted if my bet went down but at least there would be some consolation should Huddersfield win. My team: Kaminski JRC Carter Hyam Pickering Travis Wharton Hedges Szmodics Dolan Leonard No places for the useless / the mard / can't be arsed with IMO, Gallagher, Morton and Brereton falling into at least one of those categories. You can just imagine Warnock ensuring his players try to psyche some of ours out of it 'tha wont be able to run round in Spain with a broken leg lad'. If we are to go down then let's go down with all guns blazing - on the front foot from first whistle and give it a 'reet good do'. -

Contradiction in terms there. 'Gutted' is generally recognised as meaning, bitterly disappointed, devastated, shattered, utterly fed up. For many, Easter Sunday is inspirational and signals a new start. Happy Easter Chaddy and cheer up lad, it's only a game!
