  1. Past hour
  2. You’re right, it was defeat away at Portsmouth during that dreadful run. Makes no difference really, it was the death knell of our season.
  3. You are correct. I think the problem was someone dropped a bollock with the scheduling of friendlies and Rovers suddenly realised they had a gap of 2 weeks between Spain and WBA which resulted in a lot of last minute scraping about.
  4. The facts are Chaddy: You said Brittain was going nowhere My information wasn't wrong, in fact it was spot on! I was told he would leave the club by the end of the week and at the time I posted (Monday), Derby were leading the way. You say "Derby haven't even made another bid since over 3 weeks ago" - you are deluding yourself - why do you think I was told as of Monday morning 'Derby were leading the way'!?!? I think it's clear Brittain wants away and my understanding is Rovers wanted to 'lance the boil' sooner rather than later. I never said he was going to Derby - show me a post where I said that !?!? Armed with the Hackney money Middlesbrough upped the stakes and whilst it's now looking Brittain is going there, it aint over until the fat lady sings As far Brittain preferring Middlesbrough - what do you really expect him to indicate when it looks like Middlesbrough have landed a knockout blow? Brittain is hardly likely to say 'I'll sign for you but Derby was my preferred destination' Trouble is Chaddy, I think you are extremely gullible, you fail to read and understand other posts and you churn out erroneous stuff just to fit your own agenda.
  5. Wharton could have another season on the sidelines
  6. you can`t stand still in football, sooner or later our policy of selling/releasing our better players and replacing them with ones not as good will relegate us,everyone in the division is strenghtening, apart for sheff wed and hull,so we`de better be careful imo
  7. They're also quite keen on promoting the 'EFL' in the USA judging by recent social media activity. Conveniently that ties with the recent emergence of USA owned clubs in Wrexham and Birmingham. Perhaps if they spent less time helping certain clubs with their overseas growth and more time focusing on the ongoing destruction of clubs like Rovers, Morecambe and Sheffield Wednesday their competition might be better. They'll only intervene when Wednesday can't fulfil their fixtures, and that's only because of the damage it will do to their reputation and the hassle of sorting out the fixtures.
  8. Today
  9. Is he? I read it as it meaning a couple of weeks since July 19th, which is essentially now.
  10. Excellent post. Unfortunately for some all it takes is some transfer tittle tattle and all is well with the world. We haven't even tried to retain Brittain - no doubt the narrative will be getting rewritten in the coming days "We did our best to persuade him to stay" "It's a good deal to get cash for someone out of contract next year and didn't want to be here" "The new bloke is better" "We can't compete with Middlesbrough" All nonsense and lies. We haven't tried to keep him. At best we have made some limited efforts since April but I sincerely doubt that given we haven't even replaced the CEO and hadn't even sorted pre-season out until a week ago. Nor have we made any effort to keep the other players - we want rid of all of them for precisely the reason we are seeing now - it is a quick and easy way to get a cheaper player in and a few million into the coffers. Make no mistake they've been beavering away hoping a bidding war developed between rivals for Brittain, have decided to finalise this one and now will be turning their attentions to Travis and Tronstad. They are disgusting and a disgrace and should be nowhere near this club or any other professional football club.
  11. Personally think brittain is one of the best RBs in the league, and therefore in my opinion we’ve downgraded. Fear for the right hand side, if this miller isn’t very attacking and with hedges further up, it looks pretty bleak, hopefully some of the brittain money and whatever else we have lying around gets us a good Rw, pace, bit of tricky wouldn’t go a miss. Not just a happy we’ve signed a RW. I want a starting 11 RW with hedges dropping to the bench. Bored of losing our better players now, always replacing with inferior players, it’s never a case of let’s upgrade, build on the better players we have. Rinse and repeat every year. That’s why we’ve been stagnant for the last 15years.
  12. We were a top 10 Premier League club when our lot took over and look where we are now. The Venkys and their stooges, should be reminded of that, every single day!
  13. the words rampaging and hedges are about as far apart as you can getπŸ˜„
  14. Bit concerning this lad is injured β€˜for weeks’ as is Tavares. We know how long they take to get up to speed down at Brockhall.
  15. well he`s not short on physical presence, though a completely different player to brittain,he is`nt going to rampage down the flank
  16. My biggest gripe in losing Brittain isn't seeing him move clubs, it's the club he's moving to and the fact it's totally unnecessary. He is the perfect Rovers Championship player who should be staying with us a long time as we push to actually do something. It shouldn't have been hard to convince him to stay, so the question has to be asked to the board why can't we? He's not good enough to attract Premier League interest, so why the hell are we losing him and why is he so quick to jump ship in what will be a Eustace style sideways and confusing switch to Boro. On top of that it's the usual missed full revenue because Suhail Pasha is unable to orchestrate contract renewals proactively, or influence the owners to allow for attractive renewals of our better players into the budget. A basic function for an employee of his "level". The circumstances for this departure are horrible again, unacceptable. We have to get Pasha and Venky's out of this club. As a fan it's my main ambition for the season, it's all I want to see happen at the club now. Their time is up. Players want to leave because the club isn't managed properly, managers want to leave because the club isn't managed properly. When is the entire fan base going to wake up and see? The majority have. Sell the club and allow owners to come in who will appoint a proper CEO, and reconnect the fans at one of the best clubs in England. They should be ashamed. Get the club listed for sale!!
  17. Eh? Suggest you give up whatever you been smoking cos you talking total and utter nonsense
  18. Yes. Nixon says its done. Jackson says he will be Brittain's replacement
  19. Well I always he would stay here but looks like he's a goner so but I'm not the saying he was going Derby yet they haven't made a bid since before the Stanley game and still nothing. The same poster said that same week Brittain was set to sign a new contract. Fight? Give it a rest Rev
  20. has it been confirmed that miller is coming here????
  21. Love the way you make it sound how losing Brittain was part of the grand masterplan, has made us stronger and we need to move onto RW next! Yes - having downgraded at RB we need to downgrade from Dolan at RW as well next. πŸ™‚
  22. Lol. πŸ™‚ Chaddy seemingly proved completely wrong about Brittain not going anywhere but still coming out swinging. You're like the boxer who gets knocked spark out then when he comes round has to be restrained from getting at his opponent because he doesn't realise the fight is over.
  23. The next priority has to be right sided attacking player now.
