  2. Could we all wear Rovers shirts from down the ages (pre 15 years ago),.....could/does anyone know someone who could produce a Loons out stick on that could be stuck over the original sponsor and then you could wear something over it to get in then all reveal it at a given time?
  3. I actually thought Weimann would be a much more useful signing that Batth at the start of last season. I was wrong, although I'mn ot saying Weimann was poor, he did a job. Batth played more games than I expected and for the most part was excellent. I think it's a season too many for Weimann and he's creaking a bit, I'd be surprised if he manages more than 15 or so starts. Batth should have been kept, no question, he seems more robust
  4. I think the 135 / 15 years distinction is a good one. Also because it was only a week or so after our 135th anniversary that these awful people completed their takeover and their regime took the club hostage. So not only is November important as the anniversary of the clubs' founding 150 years ago but also the anniversary of its' darkest day 15 years ago.
  5. Brentford look likely to lose norgaard and mbeuno key players for them. Rookey manager looks like an ince situation.
  6. looks that way,if it is then it`s goodbye to travis, tronstadt and brittain, even if they run their deals down, they arn`t going to risk a broken leg or torn acl, negating their effect on the pitch, put your self in their position, why risk a serious injury when next season you are a free agent with a move to a more ambitious club and a better paypacket, one bad injury and your on the football scrapheap
  7. Becoming obvious the 10k/week ceiling is in place.
  8. soon as the promotion and relegation odds come out,im`e putting brentford in my acca,if they lose a few key players,it`s goodnight from them with keith the pointer in charge
  9. do you think they`ve really tried to spin the price with a shot of propaganda!!!!!nothing would surprise me about the vermin running the club,i think you could be right🥴,whatever the price,i have grave doubts about sidnei and the de neve
  10. Today
  11. Ha, ha, ha - god forbid he play's the team like he did for us!
  12. Who is the worst player you've ever seen? Cos Woodrow looked like he couldn't trap a bag of cement. Absolutely awful player who contributed nothing when we needed reinforcements in the worst way.
  13. The 135/15 thing is a great idea. Sadly I dont feel like there's anything to celebrate in our 150th year and that's the reason. I think that could be really effective.
  14. * for less than we've reportedly paid. I suspect we've paid utter peanuts for our Portuguese / Cape Verde / Leicester lad.
  15. I just wonder if it’s worth taking this one step further and perhaps producing a film. The theme suggested by a few 135 years of success 15 years of miss management. Focus on our fantastic previous owner in Uncle Jack and the polar opposite with Venkys. Ensure it is released on the 150th anniversary to give it maximum impact and incorporate a huge fans takeover day, for the Derby home game, being the last scene in the film, There seems to be a few producers who would do this, but below is a link to one such company. Happy to get a price and ideas, to possibly crowd find it, if there is an appetite to do so. https://reech.agency/solutions/media/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22333343669&gbraid=0AAAAAD1zsEvW0pHMzi8j5K78wIAktVSSR&gclid=Cj0KCQjwgvnCBhCqARIsADBLZoLbmLc-r445z3ZpgS5WMPY1ANZdtinf4RVmkr0_6BbLzI6A2k06lrgaAqyOEALw_wcB
  16. My prediction is that it gets moved to the Friday night for TV, and Yasir and co will make it a category A game. Everything possible to try and keep the numbers down.
  17. But the margins are so fine look at last season took a win against an already promoted Leicester to stay up….good season this year but that’s not guaranteed going forward the problem is the drop off it’s near boom or bust. I tend to judge when seen in a rovers shirt personally but I do get why there is concern regarding the strategy. We have Travis tronstad Brittain needing renewals and with such a limited budget how are they replaced whether it be this season or next. I’m all for the European market as the English one is inflated but there has to be a level of balance
  18. It's clearly a figure of speech. It's like saying If I win the lottery I guarantee I won't be a changed man then go out and buy a ferrari
  19. But also I th8nk a strong focus on, LOVE THE TEAM HATE THE REGIME angle if anything was to be done. There's no taking away from the occasion then
  20. Not every signing is a success Yet, despite all of that, we consider anything less than play offs a disappointment whilst also operating with a budget that is within the bottom 5. That is down to our good recruitment, even despite some not working out Out of that list, I’d say Dennis and O’Riordan are the two which deserve to be there. Both poor signings and O’Riordan only so because it was with a fee at a time we needed bodies elsewhere Wahlstedt we moved on; Hirst was not good enough for us but no harm lost; Ennis we got a fee for; Forshaw came ok at the end and is an experienced player and Woodrow was a stop gap for depth and not the worst player I’ve seen either. Again, we have a tiny budget but have become accustomed to top half finishes. That’s down to recruitment. Mixed in there we have had: Dack, Szmodics, Tronstad, Brittain, Pickering, Hyam, Armstrong, BBD, Kaminski, van Hecke, Ayala, Rothwell, Tosin, We have had some players who didn’t turn out the best for us but went on to do well elsewhere - Ayari, Amarii Bell spring to mind immediately. Walton now Ipswich keeper. Overall our recruitment team gets it right more than they get it wrong and with such constraints they deserve a lot of praise for that
  21. I agree, said the same the other day. Even if we sign a centre back, Hyam and Carter will start. Kargbo and Hedges will be wide with De Neve on the bench and Tavares wont start even if he is fit.
  22. Be a shame if fans were to start swearing loudly during the interviews…
  23. can`t be having new players blocking our academy players can we😆
  24. I'm fully of the opinion that our 11 on the opening day won't have one new signing involved.
  25. could be epic telly, especially if the manager hauls them off early,i know it says there will be a cooling off period but some footballers will still lose it completely, given the fact someone is shoving a microphone under their nose☺️
