  1. Past hour
  2. Ha, ha, ha - god forbid he play's the team like he did for us!
  3. Who is the worst player you've ever seen? Cos Woodrow looked like he couldn't trap a bag of cement. Absolutely awful player who contributed nothing when we needed reinforcements in the worst way.
  4. The 135/15 thing is a great idea. Sadly I dont feel like there's anything to celebrate in our 150th year and that's the reason. I think that could be really effective.
  5. * for less than we've reportedly paid. I suspect we've paid utter peanuts for our Portuguese / Cape Verde / Leicester lad.
  6. I just wonder if itโ€™s worth taking this one step further and perhaps producing a film. The theme suggested by a few 135 years of success 15 years of miss management. Focus on our fantastic previous owner in Uncle Jack and the polar opposite with Venkys. Ensure it is released on the 150th anniversary to give it maximum impact and incorporate a huge fans takeover day, for the Derby home game, being the last scene in the film, There seems to be a few producers who would do this, but below is a link to one such company. Happy to get a price and ideas, to possibly crowd find it, if there is an appetite to do so. https://reech.agency/solutions/media/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=22333343669&gbraid=0AAAAAD1zsEvW0pHMzi8j5K78wIAktVSSR&gclid=Cj0KCQjwgvnCBhCqARIsADBLZoLbmLc-r445z3ZpgS5WMPY1ANZdtinf4RVmkr0_6BbLzI6A2k06lrgaAqyOEALw_wcB
  7. My prediction is that it gets moved to the Friday night for TV, and Yasir and co will make it a category A game. Everything possible to try and keep the numbers down.
  8. But the margins are so fine look at last season took a win against an already promoted Leicester to stay upโ€ฆ.good season this year but thatโ€™s not guaranteed going forward the problem is the drop off itโ€™s near boom or bust. I tend to judge when seen in a rovers shirt personally but I do get why there is concern regarding the strategy. We have Travis tronstad Brittain needing renewals and with such a limited budget how are they replaced whether it be this season or next. Iโ€™m all for the European market as the English one is inflated but there has to be a level of balance
  9. It's clearly a figure of speech. It's like saying If I win the lottery I guarantee I won't be a changed man then go out and buy a ferrari
  10. But also I th8nk a strong focus on, LOVE THE TEAM HATE THE REGIME angle if anything was to be done. There's no taking away from the occasion then
  11. Not every signing is a success Yet, despite all of that, we consider anything less than play offs a disappointment whilst also operating with a budget that is within the bottom 5. That is down to our good recruitment, even despite some not working out Out of that list, Iโ€™d say Dennis and Oโ€™Riordan are the two which deserve to be there. Both poor signings and Oโ€™Riordan only so because it was with a fee at a time we needed bodies elsewhere Wahlstedt we moved on; Hirst was not good enough for us but no harm lost; Ennis we got a fee for; Forshaw came ok at the end and is an experienced player and Woodrow was a stop gap for depth and not the worst player Iโ€™ve seen either. Again, we have a tiny budget but have become accustomed to top half finishes. Thatโ€™s down to recruitment. Mixed in there we have had: Dack, Szmodics, Tronstad, Brittain, Pickering, Hyam, Armstrong, BBD, Kaminski, van Hecke, Ayala, Rothwell, Tosin, We have had some players who didnโ€™t turn out the best for us but went on to do well elsewhere - Ayari, Amarii Bell spring to mind immediately. Walton now Ipswich keeper. Overall our recruitment team gets it right more than they get it wrong and with such constraints they deserve a lot of praise for that
  12. I agree, said the same the other day. Even if we sign a centre back, Hyam and Carter will start. Kargbo and Hedges will be wide with De Neve on the bench and Tavares wont start even if he is fit.
  13. Be a shame if fans were to start swearing loudly during the interviewsโ€ฆ
  14. can`t be having new players blocking our academy players can we๐Ÿ˜†
  15. Today
  16. I'm fully of the opinion that our 11 on the opening day won't have one new signing involved.
  17. could be epic telly, especially if the manager hauls them off early,i know it says there will be a cooling off period but some footballers will still lose it completely, given the fact someone is shoving a microphone under their noseโ˜บ๏ธ
  18. Batth and Hyam had a great partnership... I saw them work well together aerially on nearly every long ball and Hyam looked improved, it disappeared when Carter came in. A new CB is needed, a new striker is needed and a new winger is needed. All should cost decent money and make the first 11. Arguably need a better keeper too and right back cover. Get moving... !
  19. very surprised west brom have shelled out 3 million to buy nat phillips as he`s not very good, thats the only bonus of us not shopping at that end of the market, paying to much for a poor player
  20. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c1k84zyml2no I guess it's another case of He Who Pays The Piper but for me it's just another America like gimmick. The Sky generation will probably lap it up but for me as a traditionalist it's awful.
  21. Itโ€™s a pointless debate really derby could easily be better defensively than us given that it is one of Eustace main strengths tactically and Val is a bit more open and expansive which is likely to lead to more goals conceded but you are right in terms of needing another cb thatโ€™s pretty vital and obvious
  22. i can guarantee that if we don`t sing another dominant centre back in the batth style,we will leak goals, that likely is`nt happening so yes,i can guarantee we`ll concede goals at an alarming rate
  23. I am not saying any of what you say is wrong. But you stated that you could guarantee something. That is not possible, if it was why don't you put your entire savings on a bet ?
  24. This is on the assumption that batth performs to the same level and bare in mind he will have a new partner also I backed not giving batth a 2 year deal if the rumours are true that Derby have offered 1 then that is a massive loss on rovers behalf but again see above batths form (any players form) from the season before isnโ€™t really relative when they move to a new club
  25. did val want batth to go,i doubt it,especially when he was given the transfer budget,of course knowing the morons in charge they proably lied to him
  26. Baath was also very injury prone prior to last season, chances he would go so well again this season at his age? I know it is easy to criticise everything going on, and I am far from happy with things, but can see the reasons behind some things, especially when you consider they are trying to cut costs, doesn't mean I agree, and as I said leaves us thin if one of the 3 main defenders gets an injury.
