  1. Past hour
  2. I happen to think he's a tidy player - albeit suited to the 3 behind the #9 because he's not big / fast enough to lead the line. That said, they know more than us with regards to his medicals - a recurring back injury at 21 is quite scary. Maybe they just don't think he's worth the risk?
  3. I wouldn't be surprised to see Hyam move on this week. A CB in the last year of his contract at 29 with, I'm sure, no desire to renew it. Prior to this year we'd just let him run that down and move on, but Gestede / Ismael are being quite ruthless in that department this summer and selling those players. I also wouldn't be surprised if they're in the market for another RB now they've had a proper look at Miller and decide to shift him to CB.
  4. Also factor in the wages for ACD, Sanderson, Woodrow, Beck and Dennis
  5. He's such a poor athlete. He's clearly quite technically gifted (and yes he plays with no urgency), but good lord he looks like he's running in treacle.
  6. It's looking like Gestede just blurted out something stupid on a podcast because right now it's like for like replacements. One in, one out, with the one in being much cheaper.
  7. Add Pears to that list too. Let's say Brittain was ยฃ3m. Travis will be ยฃ1.5m (+ whatever add ons). We've been told Buckley is circa ยฃ1m. JRC is down as ยฃ800k on Transfermarkt. That's ยฃ6.3m, with whatever we get for Pears and Leonard on top. Factor in the wage savings of Brittain, Travis, Weimann, Batth, Dolan and you're looking at quite a lot of money to play with (by our standards under these owners).
  8. I thought we were told that the transfer budget had been set and that future sales would not change it?
  9. Yeah that's a disgusting way to treat your players - especially Academy graduates!
  10. Brittain ยฃ3m. Travis ยฃ3m. Buckley and JRC an extra ยฃ1m each.
  11. Dolan had at least proven himself to be a good Championship player. Buckley hasnt done that. The type of player whose style makes him look graceful and elegant, but when you watch him for a bit, you realise hes not very good.
  12. I'm sure the club advised of a cยฃ5m budget this summer - and we've spent just under that, so far. Maybe Travis leaving has finally freed up a bit of additional funds.
  13. Maybe go with what the Espanyol fans say as the season goes on, they've no axe to grind.
  14. John Buckley's agent should, in my opinion, be sounding out a move like that. He maybe could do something in a slower and more technical league. Albeit, it would seem that technically he has regressed, on the occasions he appears. Personally, I feel at one stage he was near Adam Wharton's level of technicality, though not, it has proven, the mental side.
  15. Not to be petty, but I could screenshot the comments about Gallagher's debut at Stoke. Prime Duncan Ferguson. But we knew the truth. Happy to be proved wrong. I'm rooting for him, honest. But I find this love-in a bit odd. Can totally get it with Adam W and others. But Dolan. Hmmm, suspicious that some are desperate to be proved 'right'.
  16. Today
  17. One of them is rumoured to be the subject of interest and from what i've seen of Derby fans reaction they'd drive him there. Pears might be seen as an upgrade to them, they seem to think Travis is Tugay they're a pretty desperate bunch at the min.
  18. Interesting how Privy hasnโ€™t confirmed Morishita. He only ever comments on done deals so Iโ€™m inclined to think this isnโ€™t yet. Privy is quite clearly very close to the club (within?) and is keen to put a certain narrative out there. Iโ€™ve always been skeptical when people have mentioned about a โ€œclub plantโ€ before, but reading through his tweet history Iโ€™m absolutely convinced he is.
  19. The style and slick passing of Norwich last season in the corresponding match was so impressive. It was so easy on the eye. 1-1 draw last year. A very late Weimann equaliser. Our midfielders must not be as easily bypassed by the quick interlinking that has been a Norwich hallmark of late or we may be chasing the game.
  20. Same reason race horses are flogged as dead horses if they pull up too many times, not many recover and improve.
  21. So is this newly linked Japanese lad Ryรตya decent, or is it just Mor(e) shita that we've been linked to?
  22. Month end, they need to shift some money about
  23. Derby have Vickers and Zettesrom, donโ€™t think they need a keeper
  24. This seems to be the consensus about Leonard but I really donโ€™t understand it. Yes, he has been injury prone but always highly thought of and talked up as a real goal scorer, why would they be looking to force such an academy product out, before his potential and future value is really known ? Buckley is no surprise, on good money and just doesnโ€™t look interested when he gets on the pitch and is pale imitation of the player that he was expected to be.
  25. I've quite a few United mates, I'm on about the real fans who travel up and down the country. Not the 'fans' who buy a United top and sit in the local with it on. I don't mind United at all. Obviously we had some minor rivalry midd to late 90's but that's long gone. Liverpool however, christ I can't think of anything remotely likeable about them, self pittying gobshites.
  26. I thought selling players wouldn't help our transfer fund. What changed?
