  2. Question for those saying CB - are we not done there after signing the Hull lad? That will be 4 with him + Hyam, Carter, Wharton (yes fitness concerns for the latter two). But realistically signing a 5th will just stunt the development of the others - 5th choice CB should really be someone in the youth set-up. Also surely we'll have to dive into the loan bucket soon. I know it's marmite for people, but it's a crucial way to improve the starting 11 and teams with success in the league are often loaded with good loans (usually paying good wage for it though i'd add). We need more Beck, Elliott, Van Hecke, Baker types though and less Dennis, Woodrow, Mola. We should be realistically picking up 2 loans from higher divisions, who should be good enough to be in the starting 11 for a mid-table Championship side. For me, the essentials are the need for starting RW and ST, and I'd prefer us to also pick up back-up for Trav-Tron. This is the bare minimum we should be expecting from ownership.
  3. I'd really hope it's a permanent to compete, most likely be a loan though, still think it's too soon for Duru. Maybe another loan for him.
  4. I'm curious what the plan is for when Brittain leaves. Duru? Loan? Permanent to compete with the new lad?
  5. I'm pretty sure he's got me on ignore, the fact you aren't leads me to think you're right!
  6. Even a club as dysfunctional as ours surely wouldnt go into a season with the only right winger being Ryan Hedges. Im thinking the 2-3 are this Baradji, a right winger and then the maybe is the centre back. Still short but its so glaringly obvious we need a right winger and we havent improved the front line at all.
  7. No way Baradji is a RW, he may of played there but he's an absolute tank unless his idea is to just bulldoze people out of the way.
  8. Yes. They can't have watched this team in pre-season and have thought everything is hunky-dory at RW. I can see them convincing themselves that Kargbo and DeNeve are enough at LW, but at RW we have a big black hole. A DM who can play out there in a pinch isn't going to cut it.
  9. And justified by stating "pathway for Tyjon whilst still having adaptable cover"
  10. It's Baradji plus a CB I'm thinking. No where near enough, but when has thay bothered anyone at the club above the manager before?
  11. I think we'll see 2 permanent and 2 loans despite the manager seemingly being against loans. Then I'd hope we replace any major departures although how good these would be is anyones guess.
  12. He apparently has, but looking at hm, I cannot imagine he plays RW as a winger. He looks like someone who will move inside when we are in possession to make a 2nd "10" (or maybe a box to box midfielder) alongside Cantwell, allowing the right back to overlap, but is able to help out defensively on the right when we are not in possession I would wonder if we are down to 2, would Baradji be competition/cover for both AM & RW, and a CB is also still being sought after
  13. It looks like he's played there before, but he's primarily a DM. We desperately need a specialist RW. It's the glaring hole in the starting XI.
  14. I'm hoping it's 2 permanent and then possibly a couple of loans. I suspect a CB will be a loan.
  15. It would be a huge risk not signing a centre back, so we must be looking for another. We only have Hedges for RW, which isn't nearly enough, so there's 2. Not sure if Baradji can play as a winger, I'm sure I read somewhere that he had played RW before.
  16. Just read that. "Rovers remain in dialogue with Yverdon about the deal but no timeframe has been offered as to when progress might be made. The club still want to add two signings before the end of the transfer window, including signing an attacking midfielder." Sounds like we are now down to just an AM plus either a cb or rw. The number decreases by the week. They must have been reading this board and decided the squad has improved so no need for more.
  17. Wash your mouth out! 🙂 On a serious note I think the likes of Batty and Ince are a dying if not extinct breed. Complete all round players and you didn't need two of them to fulfill the defensive midfield role!
  18. Think there is considerable 'pitch rolling' from both Rovers and Jackson about the number of signings to come. Ismael said 2 or 3 and now Jackson saying 2. Many fans think even 3 is at least 2 short of what we require, however, some gullible fans will buy into all the bulls1t from Rovers and Jackson and convince themselves, and try to convince others, that 2 or 3 will be enough.
  19. His articles are often very difficult to read. Lots of ambiguity to cover all bases, grammatical errors etc.
  20. Just enough time whilst out and about to conviently pop on and post that but not add anything constructive in the way of discussion.
  21. Can someone remind me how to put folk on ignore - I can't see how to do it on the dashboard.. Mods...? Help!!
  22. A quick Google suggests that a stress fracture can be caused by repetitive actions. Can only assume that this might end up being a reoccurring injury that he picks up, even if he let's it heal completely. Perhaps some athletes are just prone to it more than others, I dunno. You would think though, that either modern sports science would be able to monitor it well enough or adjust his training to reduce the chances of it reoccurring. All speculation on my part but it still feels like we'd be able to make an informed decision as to whether it's worth the risk or not. The fact we are allegedly going back with a pay as you play deal suggests the risk is significant enough that it's not worth pursuing the deal.
  23. I can't understand your first point. Can I suggest before you fire off post after post, you sense check what you have written so folk may be able to understand! As to point two, how do you know there have been no new bids "since Boro bid over 2 weeks ago" - if my information is correct and I believe it is, you are plain wrong. Chaddy tells us he no longer drinks alcohol. He now prefers the intoxication of my posts and he just can't get enough!
