  2. So far we have: Gilsenen released Bloxham released Who I would release Hedges (contributed nothing) Forshaw Pears sold Pickering sold Can't well Sold
  3. That seems to fit nicely with our strategy. It was suggested, when it comes to this summers signings, that we should think small.
  4. Lowest points total in many years to get 6th, so not surprising. Everyone below 4th is very average at best, and even Sunderland had an atrocious end to the season. Unless Sheff Utd lose their nerve in the final (which can certainly happen) the playoffs are theirs for the taking. It'll be interesting to see if Sunderland can start playing properly again now that they have a reason to. Coventry only finished the season one point ahead of Bristol City, but if they beat Sunderland over two legs then they'll go into the final with the wind in their sails and anything can happen in a one off game.
  5. First of all, I found it funny that the wording of the two comments were basically the same. Secondly, Markanday hasn't been a regular starter at Leyton Orient of late. Why would he, all of a sudden, be a player that competes for a starting spot here? Main weakness of Markanday when I've watched him is that his work rate is nowhere near Dolan's, meaning he's far less likely to track back to help defence and win the ball back. Same weakness that you could see in Cozier-Duberry and a probable cause as to why Ismael dropped him outside the match squad for the final league games. Cantwell struggled with this initially when coming here being seen as a 'luxury player' (see Hull's match-winning goal from December 29 last year and how he blatantly disregards his duty to track back and follow his man), but he seems to have either improved his fitness or changed his mindset lately. We can't afford having luxury players on the pitch if we want to be successful, simple as that. Once you have players that work hard for eachother, only then can you start adding a bit of flair and skill to make a difference. Or you gonna end up with a team conceding 74 goals again like we did in season 23/24.
  6. "Significant investment" for them would be cleaning the Blackburn End bogs once every six months.
  7. Couldn't stomach another non entity club in the epl when rovers a club full of history is lingering in mid table every season
  8. Makes their pitch invasion after a 2-2 draw with freefalling PNE even funnier.
  9. I think you misread that Small is a left-back but has been playing on the right side of defence this season with Kayne Ramsey suffering a knee injury in October. Although Transfermarkt seems to think he has been playing right wing mostly this season
  10. Grass seed BBE lift repairs Deposit on the new coach lease Powerwashing the metalwork on the BBE Fixing the leaky roof Deals for Adam Forshaw, Cauley Woodrow and Augustus Kargbo (significant investment....)
  11. Heโ€™s been playing CB according to the article linked earlier. If heโ€™s left footed then he fits the bill of what the club have said they want.
  12. When we played them I didn't think they were anything better than mid table
  13. According to FootyStats(whoever they are) Dolan has 7 goals and 13 goal involvements. That doesn't include being involved in many a build up, and being the hardest working player in the squad. If anyone thinks Markanday(who I've nothing against), gets anywhere near Dolan's input, I honestly don't know what they're basing it on.
  14. Awful Bristol side...how the feck??
  15. I mentioned Small back in January. That would have been the time to do that deal, but we brought in Ribiero instead. Unless plan is to ship Pickering out then don't think there's much to this one.
  16. Even so it would have been better to finish 6th than 7th.
  17. Tie over in Bristol. I think the lesson is that securing a top 6 position is not the holy grail as some seem to think it is. Getting through the play-offs is the successful part. Within a matter of 4-5 days of finishing the regular season it can be effectively over.
  18. In playoffs because Rovers messed it up.
  19. more clubs want him which rules us outโ€ฆ.
  20. been playing on the right winger and left winger.
  21. Isn't he a left back, or lwb ? Can't see it with Ribeiro and Pickering here and Powell also. Unless they let Pickering go ?
  22. about the noise problem, holt should bung them all a fat brown envelope, problem solved, thats how all councils work
  23. big part of charltons play off push, out of contract in june, which suits us,however, other clubs after him which will most likely rule us out, don`t think he`ll rock up here when our contract offer is 5 pints of mild and a free chicken vindaloo
