  1. Past hour
  2. Can't pretend I'm happy with the amount of changes we've made, we're a completely new side and I'm uncomfortable. Yet, the one position I think we're still crying out for is an out and out specialist time served card carrying striker. We'll never see the likes of Shearer ever again but at least something to get the pulse racing a little bit. Please, no more centre backs, full backs, mids, wings or any other ruddy position just spend a nice fat big fee on a marquee hit man to keep me sane.
  3. It's gone to, in no particular order: HMRC Staff wages Electric company Water company etc The owners aren't doing a Blackpool and syphoning money from the club, there's none to syphon. That's not a defence of the owners, if anything it's saying they can't even do that right!
  4. Think we could have some fun with these, interested to hear others ill kick off. He's not scared of snakes, he's not scared of snaaaakes, Lewis Miller, he's not scared of snakes! ๐Ÿคฃ (Waltzing matilda ๐ŸŽถ) Waltzing Lew Miller, Waltzing Lew Miller Waltzing Lew Miller, our man at the back. He came from down under and he found his way to Lancashire, Waltzing Lew Miller the man at the back!
  5. Not seen that but they must be as detached from reality as whoever it was who suggested Luke Shaw as a a potential left back signing a couple of years ago because he wasn't in the Man Utd team, Wage demands and competition for his signature be damned ๐Ÿ˜‰
  6. Thanks Glen. That money has gone somewhere.
  7. Survival is the future for Rovers...'just doing enough',love the Venkys. Enjoy the rest of your Summer folks
  8. Why on earth is one of those Rovers twitter / X accounts banging on about Mahrez as a potential signing!? ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚ It's giving Netflix Sunderland documentary
  9. Thatโ€™s a cop out. Weโ€™ve just sold a number of players for quite a few millions of pounds (as GM said to them). That cash wasnโ€™t anticipated. IMO it hasnโ€™t gone back into the club and it wonโ€™t be going back into the club. It can only have gone to one other place.
  10. at normal clubs at least Even then,. there is "hidden resale value" in the senior players giving on the field advice to younger ones
  11. You know Carl it's the first day of the season tomorrow and tens of thousands of supporters will go to games full of optimism and excitement. For Rovers fans seeing the owners representative coming out with that really takes the wind out of our sails knowing that there is no ambition, no desire to get promoted or be successful. I don't know for sure but I would think the rattled snake is deceitful when it comes to speaking to the owners and what he tells them. It really is in his own personal interests for them not to know what a charade he is overseeing. Self preservation of the highest order.
  12. Quite possibly , we got relegated soon after his departure and never reappeared until 1975. Ironically 50 years ago , for the 100 years of the club.. Venkys Out !
  13. Itโ€™s clear for all to see, there is no point at all in Blackburn Rovers just now. The only way forward now is to somehow get rid.
  14. Is it a Ken Knighton moment ? Having said that Knighton was twice the player Travis is. He was as hard as nails but didnโ€™t go around beating his chest about it.
  15. Another point which missed the minutes was the removal of the women's team from the training centre. Ss response was they'd fail the CAT 1 audit having the women's team there . His justification of their exit
  16. Deary me. This confirms in many supporters minds how much the big decision makers to Rovers are out of their depth. Suhail Snake has pretty much confirmed that there is no ambition from the owners. So what is the point of Blackburn Rovers anymore? Under pressure rats will devour one another and the evidence is now there for all to see. It makes you wonder what the Punekars are being told by Snakey who is clearly rattled (a rattled snake?) ๐Ÿ˜‚ Well done to Glen and Duncan for holding their feet to the fire.
  17. The usual response to that, is we donโ€™t get all the money at once, conveniently forgetting it works both ways.
  18. Yeh budget is set. If we generate 89p or 89 million it won't change the budget. Had we sold no one this summer the budget would of been the same
  19. We all know where the ball needs to go. Beating the first man would be nice.
  20. Plus, resale value isn't needed on every single signing.
  21. So if the owners are only going to put in roughly the same amount of money year after year (which seems to be the case), is it fair to say that money from player sales goes back to them? If itโ€™s not being reinvested into players where else is it going?
  22. It's a fair point, we sold Szmodics at 29 for decent cash it just doesn't give us as much time to recoup it. He would literally have to smash it this season.
  23. He won't say anything, and let's be honest he's not some hero in this. Just interesting that they all leave "silenced" about criticising what they have walked away from, but here Suhail has been unprofessional enough to not return the courtesy.
  24. Obviously a lot can happen in a year, but I do wonder what next summers recruitment will look like when we lose Travis, Tronstad, Hyam and Hedges, and most likely try to bundle Carter and Cantwell through the door with likely having no ESC spots available to replace them with. Going to make recruitment all that bit tougher next summer.
  25. Id rather not lose our best centre back.
  26. Donโ€™t mind losing Hyam but we have lost allot of championship experience and English players, we must keep Trav
