You know Carl it's the first day of the season tomorrow and tens of thousands of supporters will go to games full of optimism and excitement. For Rovers fans seeing the owners representative coming out with that really takes the wind out of our sails knowing that there is no ambition, no desire to get promoted or be successful. It's a fair point, we sold Szmodics at 29 for decent cash it just doesn't give us as much time to recoup it. He would literally have to smash it this season.

Obviously a lot can happen in a year, but I do wonder what next summers recruitment will look like when we lose Travis, Tronstad, Hyam and Hedges, and most likely try to bundle Carter and Cantwell through the door with likely having no ESC spots available to replace them with. Going to make recruitment all that bit tougher next summer.
