No he's on loan for the season, can't imagine they would want to recall him. He also has one of those phantom buy clauses in the loan deal.

I think it's a club policy from higher up rather than a head coach policy, he'll be brought into line at some point. Probably when they refuse to back him to any tune in Jan and say use the academy lads instead.

I think it's 100% certain Cantwell will be off in Jan so we'll not see much of him until then. This club is just a platform now it isn't a serious competitive championship outfit, just a vessel.

We have some who think that because we spent a few consecutive seasons of our entire history in the third division, 50 years ago we are punching above our weight now and Venkys are model owners. Plenty of our own fanbase across the ages do us down, despite our average finishing position being something like 15th in the pyramid. I dont care where we are so long as the aim every season is to maximise where we can finish that year and make most of the club. Not some journey nonsense to sell young players without pressure on results. I'm resigned that we can't remove them. They aren't present, rich enough to ignore us. Suhail said biggest mistake was reducing season tickets by 30 quid, that tiny dent to income seems to have hit a nerve but they will just squeeze most out of whoever is left.

We aren't going to sign experienced free agents because it isn't 'the project', we aren't paying competitive wages and our budget is probably maxed out from the summer. The accountants and Suhail will not authorise and extra wage or two on the payroll. If that means we get relegated off the back of it, then so be it. Someone therefore believes the fanbase can be fleeced more effectively by launching the anniversary shirt later; perhaps even after Christmas (?) at £90 a pop. Hyam was sold on the last day of the window giving us no time to buy a replacement (I'm not saying we would have spent btw) so the only option was a free agent. We all knew Wharton and Carter are so susceptible to injury and yet he still wouldn't consider it, 'no way' he said. His argument about getting up to speed is nonsense in my view. Signing someone in early September would have seen them fit by the end of that month, a month when the number games we played really began to take their toll. His arrogance is going to be one of his undoings and is likely to cost us dearly.

Generally, Alebiosu apart - what a lot of dross we've signed over summer. Baradji - never been seen. Tavares - (£2m) barely been seen. Forshaw- meh- why? Henriksson - a walking yellow card, looks well out of his depth. TGH - not the worst of the bunch by any stretch but ordinary nevertheless. Moreshita - (£2m) Flatters to deceive. Gudjohnsen (£2m plus) Completely anonymous. Not sure he's any better than Leonard Miller - Can't defend.

I was so genuinely bemused by the Hedges love in I decided to watch the match back to see how he performed. As I thought in real time he didnt do anything noteworthy other than the fact he was largely responsible for the second goal by venturing forward and giving the ball away deep inside the Derby half which was then recycled and as a result we were short of cover down his side when the cross came in. Apart from that he went through the back of someone on 60 mins and was slightly fortunate not to earn a yellow card and very fortunate not to give away a free kick right on the corner of our area on 73 mins which if adjudged a foul would have been desperately close to being inside the area. Generally we looked extremely vulnerable any time Derby put a cross in. We have major problems if our idiot manager continues using Hedges there. Whilst I think he's rubbish I'm not going to blame him for playing poorly completely out of position, Ismael shouldn't be putting him in that situation.
