And it's such a Blackburn Rovers thing to do, neglect one of if not the most important areas of the squad whilst rebuilding the rest of it. -

Apparently we offered Β£1m + loan back for the season. Rovers look like they were trying to take advantage of Wednesdayβs financial trouble, but their owner rejected it. -

Personally, I'd sell Gueye and get one more striker in. He's frustrating and ultimately is less than the sum of his parts. -
Went to see Khruangbin at Piece Hall last Sunday, good gig and a great venue as others have said. first time I've been there for a gig and it's exceptional. Obviously you take your chance weather wise for an outdoor gig, but the fact you could get a beer within 60 seconds of queueing up and there's no snaked lines for the loo.

It isnt. But as ever, people like you dont respond with anything constructive and just patrol perceived negativity. On this particular player, I have more concerns than some of the other signings who I have much more reason for optimism over, and even then, I havent written him off and have tried to constructively give reasons why he might prove to be a good signing. -

I don't think it's fair to look back at his 'scoring record' and make judgements. Look back at Eidur's career.....a magnificent player, I think he had one season where he scored 12/13 goals for Chelsea, but other than that wasn't exactly renowned for his goals. A 23 year old with 34 international caps, came through Barcas youth team, regular football on the continent, 6'2, and from a family with some incredible football pedigree......not the biggest gamble we'll ever take. -

After Moroshita, Gudjohnsen is the first player we've been linked with who I'm a little excited about. Admittedly I've been very disillusioned with all things Rovers this summer. I think he could be exactly what we need though. Powerful, good in the air but with more craft than Gueye. Looks quite intelligent in his link up play too and for some reason the fact he is Eider's son makes me quite excited. He was an unbelievable player. Even if he's got half the technique and footballing intelligence his Dad did, he'll be a cracking player. I'm not sure where this leave Gueye though. A player with a similar physique and traits could mean very limited minutes for him. -

You have summed it up well Tony. Ironically the last few times I have bought a bottle of lemonade from the concourse it was given to me with the top still in place. I guess the server gave me a good look up and down and came to the conclusion I am not the type to throw the bottle on the pitch or dare I say it at the Directors area π³π€£π€£ -

I think getting 1m each for Buckley, JRC and Leonard is good business, none of them looked like being very useful or pushing on (except JRC when not injured) hope they all go on to do well though. Massive gamble of a window but I'm weirdly excited to see how these guys do. I think the new Japanese winger and Gudjohnson if it goes through could be good signings. Hope we utilise loan spots well, maybe some experience in the league ie Baker last year. -

I'm pretty certain there will have been a mix up with squad numbers, end and Max Davies (who is a centre back) would have come on for Carter From this, Davies may have been wearing 13 (& Barrett 12), which may be where the confusion comes from

It's one of these copy cat trends that prevail amongst football clubs under the guise of 'safety' Mike. Watford were the first club to do this and I think that most clubs will follow suit. At most away games I am told to remove the cap from my plastic water bottle as it is deemed throwable with the top on but not without it. I always have a spare top secreted away and it gives me satisfaction to put one over the pettiness and frankly stupidity. The new rules at Ewood forbid the taking of food from other sources into the ground. However they will allow you to take In food bought in the Fanzone according to this the rule below. They are doing their utmost to discourage fans from enjoying the match day experience. There have been several surveys recently about enhancing the experience but decisions like these are still taken. In accordance with common practice, entry to the stadium with fast food and beverages purchased at restaurants, takeaways, public houses and other retail outlets away from Ewood Park is prohibited. -

I don't think you are. I think there's a *lot* of nervousness about letting Travis, Brittain and Batth go, in particular. I think there's some excitement over the last day or two now we're at the 'getting new players through the door' stage, but if you were to ask most of us if we could send some of our new signings back, and get back the core of the squad that finished 7th on longer contracts, I suspect most wouldn't think twice.
