  1. Past hour
  2. Brought in that Spanish coach, no?
  3. perhaps she has something to be bitter about?
  4. Eustace didn't like him either.
  5. Massively overstayed his welcome, especially when it was clear he had zero ambition. Brought us some stability then should have been replaced.
  6. Hard to see how he comes back from this. United didn't turn up until the last 20 minutes against League Two opposition, and it's not like it was an u23's team selection out there. Couldn't have scripted drama like that though. A late equaliser from United, they look set to go through on pens, then miss their 5th penalty. The penalties then go on for so long that the takers are being recycled. The miss then comes from one of their brand new signings. I can't get over the visual of Amorim hiding on the bench during the penalties with his head down. That is ridiculous for any manager, let alone one at a supposedly big club. How can he expect his players to deal with pressure if he can't?
  7. Celtic have won 3 from 3 and haven’t conceded yet. There’s no domestic turmoil for them. Russel Martin on the other hand ……
  8. How long before Amorim comes under pressure? Talks a great game, been allowed to sign some good players but............
  9. That's because he's the only one in recent memory that has been good enough to care about.
  10. Touche' ! Fair enough. If things were going well/ everyone was happy with the ownership, you probably wouldn't hear a dicky bird (relatively speaking) from anyone between games. Oh to be in that position.
  11. May we all take a moment to laugh at Man utd fans
  12. I really couldn't care less for any player that no longer plays for us. Any rumours of any more incomings? Personal opinion is VI is exactly what we needed, he's trying to make us a more progressive team, he cant buy champ proven as outside our budget, he has to look for foreign bargains.. I think current team (Rudy and VI) are doing ok.. ultimately time will tell, but I woild rather live a life with some risk than trying to squeeze existing lemons within an inch of the lives.
  13. I'm not meandering towards savouring the match day experience. I'm already there and have been for decades! I'm the same as anybody else when it comes to feeling happy or down depending on the result. But I don't treat following Rovers to the same conditional level that you do. They're not my business venture where I must dissect everything, make cynical conclusions based on hearsay, and get engrossed by the resulting negativity. I would say "what's the point?" is more a question for you than me.
  14. To tell the truth, I am not bothered who we play as long as we win.
  15. 6-0. He is the gift that keeps on giving isn't he?
  16. No, I’d give Trav a round of applause personally but that’s not to say he’s a legend / icon / historic figure for us. Eustace personally though, he can fuck off.
  17. You probably won't like this post as it's me but if you're meandering towards the point where you're just happy to savour the match day experience regardless of what happens on the pitch - is there much point in it any longer? Surely it's all about winning and losing and trying to achieve success no matter what day of the week it is. Not having a go at you, I know there are a lot of supporters who seem to have that mindset. it's just a rhetorical/philosophical question.
  18. Hello hello Rovers rejects, Rovers rejects.
  19. Agreed. Fine as a back up. Nowhere near good enough to be a number 1.
  20. So, it's chants of "Snake" and "One greedy bastard", when they come for the anniversary game?
  21. Two things I’ve liked about VI has been his reactions to Brittain’s and Travis’s self-serving toy-throwing. Like JDT, he comes across as someone you can’t fuck around with. Both of them intense, fit as fleas, played for clubs Trav can’t even dream of. His managerial career also reminds me of Souness, ie extremely checkered before landing here. I’m hoping it’s another case of right man, right time. As you say, let’s find out. And if the place is so toxic, why was 20-year Bucko sobbing his heart out? I can’t imagine the new signings are giving any thought to how Trav felt: they’d never heard of him, he’s won nowt, move on old man, I’m having your shirt.
  22. That’s something which annoys me, a ref not playing injury time because a team is getting a pasting.
  23. Clearly he didn't as he didn't press the owners for investment when promotion was a possibility. There's no other way you can sugar coat that. Any other manager would want the best squad or X1 humanly possible at his disposal. It was his job to win football matches not manage the finances and finish 15th every other season.
  24. Today
  25. I agree, however JDT openly gave up and continued to play the same football with players not up to it. At least Eustace made us harder to beat. You understand that you can offer someone a contract but not enough for them to want to sign it, right? Then spin that thought around, we might want to keep Lewis Travis but we might also think he’s not worth 20k a week.
