Why would they bother to put a fake rumour out there that we’re trying to sign (checks Twitter) ‘Milan Smit’? Far more likely it’s agents putting names in shop windows.

The Leonard story is odd. Elliott doesn't usually publish a story like that unless he's spoken to someone at the club first and they've confirmed it Baradji could well be this seasons Dennis, signing a player with a known injury just doesn't seem to all that clever but I hope I'm proved wrong and he makes a good impact.

Maybe they didn't want to dent this confidence so early if he missed so let him wait? He put his pen away easily though. Although it was hard to miss against the Grimsby keeper. He also skied one over from 2 yards out. It came at him via a bounce or two but should have scored.

The Baradji situation is peculiar. Doesnt even seem to know whether surgery is required. Also, the Dutch striker already rubbished, and the Leonard sale being agreed also rubbished. And no contact for Browne. Hard to keep up amidst the wrong information.

I'm quite impressed by Alebiosu and Mclaughlin so far tbf. The opposite with De Neve and Henriksson hasn't started too well either. A lot will depend I think on how Baradji does. It will be fairly disastrous if we replace our Club Captain and leader on the pitch without someone who's basically unavailable for selection. And I still think we need (a lot) more firepower.
