  1. Past hour
  2. My columns last season were printed verbatim with zero interference.
  3. If I was a (relatively) well paid professional footballer and my employer was pissing around with my career like this, I would be instructing a well paid legal professional, a well paid PR person and speaking freely to anyone who would listen about the facts in the matter. End of. The club has already constructively dismissed Travis by stating publicly that he is available for the highest bidder. He has nothing to lose and a lot to gain by adopting an aggressive stance on this. Go Trav. Let's see some VENKY shifting shithousery please! VENKYS AND YOUR STOOGE PASHA & WORK EXPERIENCE GOBSHITE FECK OFF!
  4. A space that feels even more connected to the club.....didn't they get rid of all the Rovers things on the walls in there? A bit like the murals on the corners of the JW and Darwen End. Could never get my head around them doing that.
  5. The bit about Travis refusing to play is probably bollux anyway - but If we suspended him for say a month and in the meantime he said he was willing to play again and we refused Id say that would be a fundamental breach on our part entitling Travis to treat his contract as null and void and to walk out for nothing.
  6. If that's the game that I think it was, it was absolutley perishing that day at Roker!
  7. I severely doubt it’s true to be honest but o think (as a HR guy) that we’d be covered legally
  8. Yes however the price of pies and gravy granules have gone through the roof. The point is that the club were lying when they referred to £15 as that is only for 8 games.
  9. If he refused to play, we could simply refuse to pay him. If he has refused to play (which Im not sure I belive anyway ) and we suspended him for a fixed period and then he said he wanted to play again but we said "No you're suspended" we'd be the ones in the wrong.
  10. So an aproximately 20% rise from last season, for most of the Saturday games.
  11. I thought Sodexho was responsible for Blues too… as that certainly was how Swag et al tried to avoid responsibility for the Liverpool Legends night held in there. ’We knew nothing about it, honest, we’ve outsourced’.
  12. Yeah true, just have my full conspiracy gear on today
  13. If it's true about suspending Trav, Val's honesty has probably cost the club 500k-1m. Now we've either got a pissed off player on £15k per week training with the reserves until Jan or we sell him to Derby for much less than they wanted. It's beyond amateur.
  14. Thanks. Is there still a membership fee for Blues and is it the same cost as last year?
  15. Great points made here. We have several chances to view an incident and there is still disagreement whereas the ref has one look, from one angle, at real time speed and has to make an instant decision. Are they going to get things wrong? Of course they are. We all would in the same circumstances. I know we all give them grief during a game, including me, but that's the instant emotional reaction. After the game maybe we should give them a bit of a break, particularly if they are prepared to say when they called something wrong. With the scrutiny they are now under, plus the outrageous abuse they suffer at the lower levels of football when they are learning, I'm frankly amazed anyone still wants to be a referee.
  16. I took that article to read "The Club is for sale at the right price" as opposed to the definitive "It's not for sale" we had in the past. The problem is if they continue to be completely unrealistic about what they can achieve price wise it will be a position of constant stalemate.
  17. No. They have now upped it to £18.75 for the majority of games. It is also not available for a few games such as PNE. Match-by-Match Pricing: GOLD (Norwich City, Ipswich Town, Sheffield United, Southampton, Sheffield Wednesday, Millwall, Charlton Athletic, Middlesbrough, West Bromwich Albion, Coventry City) Silver (Swansea City, Stoke City, QPR, Oxford United, Watford, Hull City, Bristol City, Portsmouth) £18.75 £15
  18. It's up to us fans to put the scrutiny and spotlight on him. He's already rattled and things haven't even got started yet. He is reaching Steve Kean territory for me with the way he is behaving. The irony and coincidence being, both of them having the same agency connections. In my opinion, it's somebody's project, with him being the face of it. He knows f@#k all about the game. See his latest nonsense comment about "nobody knew Adam Wharton would be a good player". No chance is he going to implement a Brighton or Brentford model and oversee such a thing here, especially when he thinks spending doesn't guarantee anything. There is no Brighton or Brentford model here anyway, never has been. It's just fluff that buys a bit of time with those still sleeping. The thing that I always come back to is this...if I'm the sole owner of a business, what I say, goes. There are no power struggles. There are no conflicting ideas. There are no opposing camps. I decide what's happening, as the owner. You piss about, you're out. You lose me money, you're out. So why are we not seeing such authority?
  19. It would be legal as potentially gross misconduct if he has refused to play. But let’s be honest it’s about the most idiotic move you could make if you want the best money out of a deal, which makes it possible.
  20. The Sky licence should be for the whole of Ewood Park not a separate one for Blues. Unless of course Sodexo pay for Jacks Kitchen and the Club are responsible for Blues. Regardless of the above it is tight arsed penny pinching, totally embarrassing. I am minded to slip a Fire Stick in the Blues TV feed and see if the Club notices.
  21. Imagine... You're a flash Indian businessman well known around Pune. Your family run business is one of the biggest poultry producers in Asia. People respect your family and the work you do around India. People know of your wealth and status in India. You boast the likes of Akon, Salman Khan (Bollywood), Ronaldinho and others among your friendship group. You try to throw the biggest and best parties in India every year, with as many 'big' names invited as possible. But then...you have to cancel a Sky Sports subscription at a sports bar connected to the football club you own in a small town in Lancashire. Makes sense. If any of the Rao's are reading this, get a f#@king grip and get Pasha out! This is embarrassing.
  22. This feels simultaneously a minor thing but a new low at the same time, not even willing to stump up a few thousand Without passing it on to the fans You’d not expect it of a non league club never mind us
  23. Thats it. They aim no higher than keeping the club in existence. What level it's competing at matters not a jot.
  24. No it was sometime between 1970 and 1976 It might have been just before we signed John McNamee .
