  1. Past hour
  2. Is it any more logically different than organizing a full 90 min match? Got to find a day, get a ref, and get the team here. 10 min or 90 it’s the same, only difference is ticket sales and of course the 1-0 score and 10 v 11
  3. Not more of an advantage than being 1 nil up against 10 men though. But yes, it would probably be better for them than if the rain had relented enough to get the game finished on the day. They'd also get time to plan exactly how to deal with having 10 men against us. But again, it isn't happening any more than Venkys giving us a 50 million quid warchest in January.
  4. Apparently it was a botched hair transplant which meant he couldn’t train hes back in the squad now we thought he was dropped but no he just couldn’t train or play
  5. Don't be a wetwipe post whatever you want.
  6. We were winning 1-0 until 80mins nothing to suggest we can’t do that again and get to 90mins and hold on for a victory if we need to come on you rovers
  7. Today
  8. If that ball hadnt of stopped infront of Kargbo we would be looking to the next fixture by now
  9. Must be complicated if it involves appeal system thats taken over two days to compile.
  10. Or we play them after the January transfer window and we have re enforcements, you never know, think positive (hard I know)
  11. Really? I am not sure how I just posted some details about his career post his failed Rovers transfer and then made what i thought was a silly throwaway comment No offence intended though
  12. No surprise the EFL wanted more time. They cant make decision. Don't expect a decision this week now. Good to see Rovers digging in over this. This is one of the reasons why I would carry on the game and played on cos this will get messy potential
  13. If you don't want me to post his stuff, just let me know. No skin off my nose
  14. Playing the last 10 minutes will actually favour Ipswich - as they will have a fresh team (rather than one having played part of the match with 10 players). They will also have the opportunity to set up their team to best get an equaliser. So, though I agree it is the nearest we can get to fairness, still think Ipswich would get an advantage. However, all moot, as I think we will be ordered to replay (put money on Ipswich moaning about fixture congestion later in the season 🙂 )
  15. Decision might be tonight but might not be, could go either way there could be a replay or the result may stand. Nicko.
  16. To be fair the original post was 6 hours ago, maybe my fault for only posting it last few minutes
  17. The EFL should take no account of clubs digging their heels in and should just make a decision. That being said, it’s almost certain Nicko is talking bollocks.
  18. Such a negative impact so that he got a move to a Premier league team, and was decent enough for them to be a regular in their matchday squad for half of his first season at Brentford, and now at the age of 21 is a regular starter in a League 1 team I genuinely think that Football Manager games have warped peoples perceptions of how quickly young players should and do develop
  19. He cant make his mind up. Announcement tonight. When it doesnt come, they will need more time. Cutting edge journalism.
  20. Update.... EFL need extra time on tough Blackburn v Ipswich call New Just now By Alan Nixon The EFL will take extra time to sort out the disputed Blackburn Rovers v Ipswich replay decision. Both Rovers and Ipswich have made their submissions on time after the match was abandoned in the 80h minute. Blackburn want the points or a replay of the final stages with a man advantage because Ipswich had lost Jacob Greaves to a red card. Ipswich want the game to be played again in full which would give them 90 minutes to get a better result. The EFL can pick any one of the three outcomes and are taking their time because both clubs are digging in their heels. There is also a search for a precedent in similar circumstances and that is also a problem. The Blackpool v Huddersfield match was abandoned a few years ago and that was ruled to stand at 0-0 - despite ending just after half time. The EFL only came to that decision after Huddersfield turned down the chance of a replay because it was the last game of the season. Both Rovers and Ipswich need points and have much to play for, so there is no comparison with the other fixture.
  21. If you are talking about a decision that seems the fairest to both sides, then I think you play the final 10 mins with 10 v 11 behind closed doors. Obviously replaying the full match is at a complete disadvantage to us, while awarding is the points would upset Ipswich who would quite rightly claim they could have scored in the remaining time (albeit remote) So therefore it only leaves one decision however logistically difficult it might be. I doubt it's what the EFL will decide though.
  22. Oh I forgot about Brierley!! He’s now playing for Exeter city on loan - can’t help but wonder if the failed move to the championship had a negative impact on the lad
  23. Love this idea - so many good ideas on the forums!
  24. I actually think an appeal scenario would be more likely if they gave us the points
  25. Is an appeal really going to be an option or is Nicko just after more clicks??
