  1. Past hour
  2. Simply a must win. There can be no excuses for this one. I imagine it'll be the same starting XI again. Cantwell to probably get a bit more time off the bench. Rovers 2 - 1 Wednesday. I don't think it'll be comfortable.
  3. 4 pieces of criteria for it to be DOGSO & 2 of them aren't met
  4. Not for me, just seen it back. He certainly didn't drop a shoulder and cut inside, he just passed it first time into the far corner because our left sided player (De Neve) was nowhere near him.
  5. Cardiff spent up to £4M on Salech, they are not exchanging him for Gueye Salech, who arrives in Wales on his 23rd birthday, has joined from Swedish side Sirius for an undisclosed fee which is believed to be between £3m and £4m. Connelly seems to do ok for 6 months, then his form and attitude drop off a cliff, I would avoid. Edit - Just checked, this season (which is in league 1) is only the second time in his career that he has scored more than 3 senior goals in one season I like Bali Mumba, think he is a decent shout, 2 years left on his contract, wont be on much, vaguely achievable as long as we are not competing with anyone else
  6. I think we need to turn it in with the refs are corrupt, EFL hates us. Plays right into the owners/VI’s victim narrative. The ref made a howler, no doubt over the season we will get howlers go in our favour. There will be countless other teams in the end of equally bad decisions on a weekly basis, but we don’t pore over their games with a fine tooth comb like we do ours mistakes in our games feel much more pronounced. The fact remains that we made numerous errors that contributed to them equalising. From substitutions giving them momentum to Miller giving the ball away needlessly to De Neve not being where he should. Referees neither score nor concede goals. Players do
  7. The referee gave nothing. Personally I didn't think it was a foul and it wasn't dissimilar to the Hedges challenge on Saturday.
  8. I think Miller's an absolutely shocking player. Cant defend to save his life. One of the worst of the summer signings. Compare him with Pratt and it's like night and day. Right under our nose and wouldn't have cost a fee. Could either of our other youngsters have done a job as well?
  9. If you think it's a deflection tactic that is your prerogative but many think he is justified in doing so. Whether or not he is 'piss poor' is irrelevant to this point.
  10. It’s a definite goal scoring opportunity given how shit of a goalkeeper Walton is. It’s a shame we didn’t capitalise on the couple of idiotic errors he made playing it out really poorly. We really ought to have tested him more. On that, I wish we’d be a bit braver when Alebiosu picks the ball up. He literally ALWAYS manages to get a cross over. When we see that is happening Hedges should be steaming in at the far post and one of the midfielders should bust a gut to get in the box. Really frustrating how we don’t commit more men forward.
  11. I assume it was the bodycheck on Ohashi but for me he'd already lost control of the ball. Seen them given, seen them not.
  12. Was the penalty incident the one in the first half where we got a free kick on the edge of the box? It looked outside the area from where I was. Haven’t seen a replay though.
  13. I honestly don't know how anyone can say that isn't a DOGSO.
  14. No manger will ever say there player deserved a red, unless it was reckless challenge endangering a player and even then, rarely. Smug Kieran knows it was a red as did everyone else in the ground.
  15. You realise that they have to want to take him too right? Can't imagine many takers.
  16. Sorry arbitro ( and Parson) it's an act of sheer desperation from a piss poor manager who is completely out of his depth and looking to deflect blame off himself and away from his bosses Ince Mark 2. (Although far more unlikeable.) "Shoot!"
  17. It has to be the denial of an obvious goalscoring opportunity. So if they are far out wide, with a lot to do still no. Morishita is in behind the last man with the keeper not far away. it was the clear denying of an obvious goalscoring opportunity for that reason, particularly given Walton's position. He was in no man's land back peddling bracing for a 1 on 1. I'd say it still was a denial of a goalscoring opportunity even if Davis was closer to him. He was the last man and in behind. Matusiwa knew he was off, the Ipswich team knew he was off. It's one of the worst refereeing decisions I've seen, a bias disgrace.
  18. Miller is playing pretty well but in truth, the QPR goal and yesterday’s late goal both came from him conceding possession very cheaply, when under no real pressure.
  19. (I will whisper it, I am pleased Bratfud got promoted. If we are going down this silly grading road, at least it is a proper, historic team to benefit. Plenty more blood and thunder derbies in there now which may be what SL needs to spurn a touch of interest. Hudds may even get 700 on the gate!)
  20. That's Salford gone. I just don't understand, they had so many Instagram followers and a nice, modern stadium. That's how League now works, right?
  21. I would say send Gueye to Cardiff in an exchange for Yousef Salech, 23 year old, superb big danish striker and sign Bali Mumba as cover for Alebiosu. Another good league one player Aaron Connelly at Leyton Orient. A bit like Armstrong.
  22. He also said Davies would have got back and it was at best a 50/50, but if it were his team of course he would be wanting the red. Nothing controversial and not saying it was a definite red
  23. Today
  24. The issue with these figures for most of us fans is that on paper they look 'good'. The Venky-clapping "no one else would ever want to own us" fans can laud their financial prudence for keeping the lights on and the players being paid. The figs look good to the footballing authorities - everything legal and above board, so nothing to see here. The figs look good to any journalists and fans of other clubs. "Why do Blackburn Rovers fans always complain about their owners, they still think it's 1995". I feel like we're being subjected to a fifteen year long psychological experiment. We can see the dismantling, downgrading and deterioration of the football club down to the husk it is now, but the rest of the world will just see Kieran Maguire's tweet about how our revenue is up and our losses are down and move on.
  25. Looked up some stats for my own sanity, and our record on 90+ minute goals = 19/20- 1 goal 20/21- 0 goals 22/23 – 5 goals 23/24 – 4 goals 24/25 – 3 goals 25/26 - 6 goals (after 18 games) So, we went from being the best in the league in those first 2 seasons, to being about average/mid-table in the next 3, to being by far the worst this season. (Next teams have 3 goals this year) Some of the 90+ minute Top of the Pops over those years: 19/20- Sheff Wed = 10 goals (not relegated) 19/20- Charlton = 8 goals (relegated) 21/22- Bristol City = 9 goals (not relegated) 21/22- Peterborough = 8 goals (relegated) 23/24- Huddersfield = 10 goals (relegated) 24/25- Sheff Wed = 7 goals (not relegated) So my definitely not scientific conclusion is that if you end up top of that particular stat, there's a 50/50 chance that relegation is on the cards.
