Credit to Wrexham. Missing key players, they were fully in control. Just very simple stuff as well from them, they were just well drilled and committed. Rathbone epitomised everything I want to see in a Rovers player. -
Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach

I'd be saying here's 18 months. keep us up then stabilise next seas on and take it from there. Might as well roll the dice and at least you know what you get with Mowbray but to be honest even he probably wouldn't touch it with a barge pole now. -

Not what I said. I said "at times" we were capable of some decent play under those two. I certainly don't think he's much of an upgrade though. Personally I find him nearly as dislikeable as Kean as well although I know some people seem to like him for some strange reason. -

Mowbray, whether people like him or not, is at least twice the manager / coach that Ismael is. I would have him back for the rest of the season in a heartbeat. At any other club, Ismael would be under intense pressure. -

I'm talking about prestige history. They're old, great. They got in Europe by winning the prestigious Welsh Cup, oooh. They've never even been in the top flight and barely been in this one. Compared to Blackburn Rovers, they're a chihuahua next to a husky, historically speaking. That's the point I was making. I'm actually pleased for their underdog story and watch their documentary. I'm not knocking what they've done or trying to diss them, I'm pointing out they had precisely zero natural advantages over us. Shitter ground, shitter history, smaller fanbase, worse facilities, lesser finances even after their owners came in. Yet they've managed to jump from 3 leagues below us in a fraction of the time we have gone from Prem to League One and then treaded water in the Championship with zero playoff appearances. And that it's all because of one thing - better owners who let football people run the club, back those people, and only intervene when it's useful. -
The January 2026 Transfer Window

Rudy couldn’t pick his nose let alone a player. This window will do nothing but cement our relegation to league one. -

Some thoughts. They have a dodgy keeper who has made a couple of bad mistakes in recent matches and we failed to get a shot on target at home. Our first choice keeper was sat on the bench whilst we were seemingly just waiting for Pears to mess up so that he can be replaced in the next match. Seeing as we have no goals in the team, a solid keeper is essential and we actually have one sat on the bench!! The team is so weak and there is nobody on the bench who can come on and change things. There was basically no way back once the first goal went in. Realistically we need 5 decent experienced signings across multiple areas of the pitch to actually be competitive. We won't spend enough money to do that and I doubt any decent players would want to join....if any prospective signings were at the match today I suspect they left at half time. Without the signings we are going to be relying on 3 other teams being worse than us and us managing to scrape together a few scrappy draws and lucky wins. 2026 is going to be another good one folks. . -

This is a massive thing for me to say but get Tony Mowbray on the phone asap. Ismael has tried his best with the crap hes been given but his flaws are obvious now and it's time for something a bit more solid. -

This club keeps dropping to new depths. Absolutely woeful, shameful and embarassing performance. One of the biggest things to show how desperate we are is the suggestion that we need to put Gueye back in the squad. That anyone is even suggesting that such a clown could improve us shows how bad things are. We need to totally gut this squad and it wont happen. Miller and McLaughlin were both terrible. A proper defender was outstanding at the other end. We do need a left wing back. Baradji looks like another dud. Cantwell was awful. Ohashi again rubbish, not a very good player. Henriksson I think has won a competition to play. -

Sometimes you can accept getting beat by a better side , which they were. What you can't accept is being outfought, outrun and worse I'm all the basic football "givens" There have been some dire performance at home this season but that was as bad as it gets. Going to need to go back to a back 4 on Monday as no option with no wing backs available. -

Get this clown gone spend some money urgently how we have so many hamstrings seemingly go is incredible.. It’s clear they’re freezing Gueye out but surely he offers more than Henrikson and another option leaving changes til 80th minute to bring Dlamini on not good enough when chasing a game AT HOME -
5-3-2 and with 10 mins to go the 2 'attacking' midfielders in that formation were trading passes in our own half. How are you supposed to play forward when your slow wing backs are marked out wide and there are 2 cb and 2 dm blocking all space for the front 2. Surely your cb or holding midfielder has to be brave enough to bring the ball out and get the midfielders up the pitch. Tactically inept from a clueless manager, under a clueless hierarchy and clueless owners. It's a shame there are still some clueless fans defending this shit.

Coyle's team would've battered us today. Sure, that team had no defence but it could attack well - now we don't attack at all and can sometimes defend if we put 2/3rds of our team in a defensive position. -
