  1. Past hour
  2. I can forgive extraordinary bad luck if it was just this year. It's practically every year now! It is beyond happenstance. Swansea game in 2021, Millwall in 2022, Portsmouth 2024, Ipswich 2025 and Sheffield Wednesday 2025! If we were a film saga we'd be "Episode V: The Puddle Strikes Back". We're truly a basket case club withering into history yet never seen able to escape this purgatory and be put out of our misery.
  3. please do - I was chatting with Ryan Hildred & Jonathan Secker 👍
  4. Now's your chance to make a statement Rovers fans,if Wednesday fans can do it...........
  5. 100% we are going down. And when shit happens like it has done today, feels deserved.
  6. But what about all the wanton arrogant destruction and damage they had carried out in the prrevious two years ?
  7. I have too much self pity to give a toss about them.
  8. Mr Venky and a quick favour call to Shiva? The cutting comments from the above Sheffield reporter about the Stadium looking tired are all we need to know about this horrible Venky tenure. Our famous old Club and fans didn't deserve this neglect.
  9. Pathetic and predicted It was said of previous England teams but this is the same: they can't bowl, they can't field and they can't bat (Root sometimes excepted) England should have won the last home Ashes series but Stokes blew it with his stupid declaration in the first Test England should have beaten India last summer but threw it away in the last Test because of the stupid Bazball mentality It isn't "arrogance"; it's downright stupidity England are an embarrassment against a very average team. Stokes and McCullum should be sacked when the inevitable Ashes defeat is confirmed And Keys can go too
  10. Just embarrassing when we have people like that at the game
  11. Our football club is the pits, the absolute pits. Fucking state of us under these clowns. Embarrassing.
  12. I still genuinely believe that we're all collectively paying the price for that snowball.
  13. The club pleads for fans to cough up at increasing prices. Making a play of being together. They happily squeeze your money and time out of the fans, but the bare minimum , to ensure fixtures can be completed, they wont do. Its contempt, disinterest, not giving a toss. But they expect you to cough up, turn up and back the boys, without them having any intention of making sure that we can play in heavy rain, their side of the bargain is not being kept up (thats before the other lack of anything, cleaning stands, weeding, renewing contracts etc). Sod the fans who travel miles and give uo ther Saturday, sod them, who cares, we'll just charge them again. The board have contempt The players complain about the home fans The manager moans about the home support (lack of) Even the weather hates us. This club is broken. Please let us go, we are past withering on the vine. Its not about results, just want them to care.
  14. Definitely down to lack of recent maintenance Hasta but there is no doubt the problem has always existed.I remember my dad talking about how quickly the Ewood pitch would turn into a muddy quagmire in the 50/60s era.
  15. There's absolutely no point in protesting at this moment in time. They're doing such a bad job all we have to do is let them fail on their own. As I had hoped for, a game cannot be completed at Ewood Park. That's bringing the spotlight in their direction and they've managed to do this entirely on their own.
  16. Venkys- putting the infrastructure back 60 years
  17. But we had no postponement in a game fter kick off for god knows how many years and we've now had 2 in 2 months. Today was heavy but it wasn't biblical.
  18. It's striking how many people (myself included) are now advocating for a points deduction and/or fine in response to how poorly the club is run. I'd bite your hand off for a 50% increase in the chance of us being relegated if the wider media picked this up in the same way the Owls' troubles have been. Fuck Venkys and by and large, everyone down to and including VI.
  19. Just because it may have happened nearly 60 years ago doesn't make it acceptable or "just one of those things" in this day and age with the technology available Im afraid.
  20. I think there has historically always been a problem with the Ewood pitch and the surrounding water table level. The Ground literally sits in a trough of a small surrounding Valley. Remember the Old Riverside Stand had to be demolished due to the Foundations literally having rotted away!.
  21. Yeah the river hasn’t moved, the pitch hasn’t moved - yet it’s 3 games abandoned in 12 months or so, but I’m struggling to remember too many in the 20+ years prior It’s negligence and incompetence that has led to this
  22. Did see you today Ian but you were in full swing convo by the coffee shall say hello next time 👍🏻😊
  23. I hope it's off. I just can't be arsed. it's utterly dispiriting. I know the conditions were difficult for the players but the standard of football was pitiful. And Ipswich were terrible too. But if we can't beat Wednesday twice we ought to be relegated. I despair.
  24. Yea, how else we gonna fund all the work that needs undertaking
  25. Weather is showing a bit of rain tomorrow afternoon, nothing on Monday, then rain until 11am Tuesday morning with it remaining clear for the rest of the day. Tuesdays game will be fine, if it was 3 days of non stop rain I would agree.
