  1. Past hour
  2. I think this is where we get it wrong. The Rao wealth of 2 to 4 billion is a very old figure. What we do know was the late father benefitted from a deal which gave him ownership of a third of the collar of land which went all round Pune sometime in the early 1990s in return for making sure it was developed Pune has grown fivefold since then. A third of the land area of Pune today is worth over a hundred billions. Now cut that figure dramatically because they don't have an interest in the central areas then the Raos are still easily worth ten billion plus today and their growth in paper wealth each year has massively outstripped the cash put into Rovers.
  3. All I know is: When we were in the PL, they quickly cut us down to the Championship. When we're were on the verge of promotion back to the PL, they sabotaged it. When were dropped into L1, they got the engine moving and quickly pushed us back into the Championship When weve been steady in the Championship the status quo has been maintained. Whoever has actually run the club this past 15 years seems to like it here. Far away from the harsh, prying glare of the PL, but with enough money flowing through the ecosystem that a handy cut can still be hypothetically made through player sales and other arrangements. Very cosy.
  4. Today
  5. I'm sure they have advisers advising them but whether they are listening is another issue. I'm from Singapore and i know a lot of Asian bosses have this mentality that they know better than the professionals. They are also surrounded by Yes men who won't openly contradict them. The Raos might have some super unrealistic plans in their minds where they can invest little yet sell the club for a profit down the road and no one is telling them it's not feasible or they are not listening.
  6. I take a 36 yo Bannan over Cadamarteri any day. Our key problem is we can't create, 2nd we can't finish.
  7. Not sure if ‘Hardman’ is a good descriptor but I always thought David Thompson was a scrappy fucker on the wing.
  8. Yesterday
  9. Fair enough, I'm used to betting decimal.
  10. We are penny pinching from them that’s all it is - we will get him but he isn’t what we need imo
  11. faz and keeley certainly did`nt take any nonsense david mail was pretty granite, went full on with billy whitehurst when whitehurst was playing for reading(think he got sent off for one to many elbows) nicky reid liked to mix it up and he could take it as well later on kevin moran was genuinly hard, loved getting stitches did kevin craig short was pretty hard as well,he used to relish getting stuck in
  12. If we only manage to bring in Cadamarteri it's a shambles and I doubt they can even pull that off. Given our current circumstances low ambition deals like this shouldn't be taking this long.
  13. Cadamareri should be in the same price bracket as Leonard so just under £1m. Owls are skint so probably want cash now, and Cadarteri is likely not on big wages like Bannan was, so no big rush to sell perhaps.
  14. Why? It'll be 250 quid by the end of the season.
  15. Honestly think Nelsen deserves higher ‘Hardman’ praise even than he’s getting. Remember he broke his leg (a fracture is a fracture) early in the first half of an away game at Charlton and still finished the match. Must be the natural instinct of a Kiwi.
  16. all happening on deadline day "significent investment" on an experienced striker(rovers speak for a 34 yr old) and a loan (someone who has never played in the championship and most likely from somewhere in europe)
  17. Just thinking about the last few years. I know he was/is still young but I reckon Jan Paul van Hecke has something about him and is a bit of a throw back to the likes of Nelsen, Hendry. I reckon he's the sort that would take out his granny if it meant he got the last Werther's original.
  18. Give me Broughton over Rudy every time, I cannot stand that fella.
  19. 'Killer' Keeley was a dirty so-and-so - saw him stupidly get sent off at Fulham in a match in which Bobby Moore and George Best were playing. But he wasn't hard. Ken Knighton always struck me as "hard" - mess with him and he'd boot you over the touchline
  20. I was going to say, there's 4 months spent moaning that they won't buy players, then the next 4 months is spent trying to disprove that they have 🤣
  21. He’s been mentioned higher up but John NcNamee probably the hardest I’ve ever seen in Rovers colours.
  22. If this isn’t the quintessential definition of dicking around in the transfer market I don’t know what is. https://www.thestar.co.uk/sport/football/sheffield-wednesday/blackburn-rovers-sheffield-wednesday-bailey-cadamarteri-5494211 An extra 50K. Someone is going to sweep him up for more than that.
  23. When will we know the actual attendance at Ewood for the Watford game?
