  1. Past hour
  2. I've been banned by Rovers Instagram for about 10 years πŸ˜‚
  3. I remember him leaving, It wasn't a major blow to the team, as the rest of the team did not live up to his standard. One exceptional player at right-back will not have enough influence on the whole team. An influential player in the spine of the team may have that effect ( Adam Wharton being a prime example ).
  4. The best part of downgrading the roster is no one is irreplaceable because no one is good enough to be considered as such. Job well done Venkys!
  5. Can I remind everyone we need to agree with everything the club does or risk a stadium ban or warning. To be clear, you fucking imbeciles have totally fucked up again.
  6. "However, he is a replaceable player. This isn’t a Sammie Szmodics moment" Correct, there isn't a single player in this current Rovers side that isn't replaceable imo. We even managed without Szmodics goals when everyone (including myself) thought we would struggle. Travis and Tronstad are both good players but limited in their abilities and hopefully the new midfield players will bring a different dynamic to the team. For what it's worth, I have only ever seen one irreplaceable player in my time watching Rovers and that of course was Shearer, simply because there was nobody better at the time.
  7. I'd rather he didn't also. Either dish the dirt or leave the platitude.
  8. Not a fan of these "goodbye, it's me, not you," videos to fans. To say the least.
  9. Venkys' summer costs covered in one deal and to make matters better another pesky player demanding Championship level wages out of the way. Pat on the back for chief Venky stooge Pasha as he earns his corn downgrading the club. And to put the icing on the cake some supporters, admittedly few in number, are falling for the 'unreasonable player' line again in their desperate deluded bid to blame anyone and anything but the utter lowlife owning and destroying BRFC.
  10. I hope he can get back quicker too - Brittain used to be nowhere in the frame if a quick team countered us.
  11. I cannot remember an occasion when a team losing a right-back has been a major blow.
  12. It sounds like Miller can cover ground quickly, yes. But it also sounds like he has nowhere near the attacking ability of Brittain. So we may well get up there with him, but if it leads nowhere there isn't much point. Hopefully he's better at putting a cross in that it sounds like.
  13. Players come and Players go, lets hope Miller if he comes plays more games than hamstring Brittan, no question a good player but only when on the pitch. our Ex players to Deby are getting on and i will be surprised if they are 1st teamers in a month or so, Dolan well Meh, yes great stamina but in my opinion ran forward only to pass the ball back 95% of the time. hope he does well. As for our new and potentially new players lets try to be positive, this board does little more then complain and moan of course if that's what you think before any championship game then carry on and keep those dark clouds above you're heads. OH and to be clear VENKYS/PASHA f RIGHT OFF.πŸ˜„
  14. Last season was Brittains best season he had for us. With that memory still fresh, it seems a bad loss However, he is a replaceable player. This isn’t a Sammie Szmodics moment Brittain was very good going forward and proved a reliable outlet. He allowed us to play out from the back as if we managed to spread it to him in space he’d cover ground very quickly. By all accounts, they’re the same attributes Millar has Where Brittain let himself down is his defending. He got beat quite a bit and allowed too many crosses in for me. Millar is supposedly better at that aspect of the game. If we do manage to get that deal over the line then the blow of losing him is softened
  15. Certain posters won't listen though. Apparently everyone is pulling in the same direction here.
  16. They're not. In his last 2 Championship seasons with us, Gallagher scored 11 in 58 appearances. A goal every 5.27 games. The stats you just gave are a goal every 5.07 games for McBurnie. If you take Gally's actual last 2 Championship seasons, so that's his one with Stoke and his last with us, he scored 6 in 46, or a goal every 7.66 games.
  17. Is this the point where we find an issue with Miller's medical and that deal collapses? Lol.
  18. Telling words from Brittain on his move to Boro. In reference to why he joined: "It's clear everyone is pulling the same direction". A subtle dig at how things are run at Rovers I suspect. Not the first time a player has said that upon joining a new club.
  19. All the best Callum, good player and I hope he does well for himself. Players voting with their feet and can you blame them? Absolutely obvious the players that are leaving/not signing contracts are not convinced of the future direction of the club. Expect Travis to go next. Replacing them with cheaper, inferior players will lead to one outcome. The squad is incredibly thin as it stands. Bleak.
  20. As with the argument for more CB's I dont get the argument for more midfielders either. We have 4 senior CB's and 2 young lads who could deputise at a push. 6 options. If Henriksson signs we then have four main senior options in midfield plus as things stand Buckley and Forshaw. Should we have signed Forshaw? Of course not. But we did therefore VI presumably thinks he can contribute. Again 6 options - this time all senior ones. Conversely up front we only have 2 senior strikers and no RW worthy of the name. If one of Baradji or Henrikssen and also Millar sign to replace Brittain then forget any more defenders or midfielders, get some bloody firepower in! Edit: Seven in midfield. Forgot about Cantwell.
  21. To lose the technically gifted Brittain in exchange for what Scottish football fans are describing as more an athlete than a footballer is inspiring
  22. When was the last time you saw any fee (which wasn't Β£0) actually confirmed by either club? Β£3.5M after add ons according to Jackson The real question is how much of that is guaranteed? and how much of the guaranteed amount is up front?
  23. Why an undisclosed fee and what is it likely to have been?
