  1. Past hour
  2. yep, also been with the academy since he was 5 or 6 https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/march/20/-playing-for-your-local-team--your-team--it-s-what-you-want-/
  3. Agreed but when does this club do logic?
  4. Did I hear right that Litherland is a boyhood Rovers fan? Always even better when an academy lad is a fan.
  5. probably a wise decision, millwall were in christmas gift mode otherwise it would have gone down a terrible 0-0,though on the plus side, they did`nt look like ever scoring, lovely to have 3 points in the bag
  6. Today we did well to get the result. Was a poor quality game but a comfortable win. But in general, yes. We are still near the bottom of the table. The squad is so stretched with very little quality.
  7. but it would of course save a few quid, he is without a doubt our highest earning left back, and we know all too well what are the priorities of the muppets in charge
  8. Tbf they're on track to become the worst premier league team in history. Fair that the fans might be a bit disgruntled imo.
  9. A couple of things I noticed just from being sat in the Riverside - two broken signs need removing or replacing and the far wall needs cleaning and re- painting. Would probably cost next to nothing in the general scheme of things but just shows the owners (if they know) or more probably their lackies couldn't care less. Jack's statue needs restoring back to its original condition as well.
  10. I'm glad I saved my £30 odd quid. But a great result, well done lads.
  11. Thought Henrikson did a good job when he came on, albeit a lot of it without the ball. Might be an option in the future rather than Gueye.
  12. baradji was very impressive when he came on,must be nearing a start henrikson, deneve and sidnei need ******** off,as illustrated in past few weeks, our academy players are better than all three
  13. Soon to be Championship, sold Players and not re-invested.
  14. Part of me does wonder how Leonard would do in Gudjonson's role. The 352 really helps a non physical striker, and Leonard never got the luxury of playing in a two unfortunately. Id we were still in 4231 i think Gudjonsen would really struggle.
  15. The same owner that has Wolves in the Premier League?! Wolves.
  16. Why waste money on terrible players like De Neve, Tavares and Henriksson when our academy is surely producing footballers that are far better? Is it just so that we're seen to be "spending" to "improve" the team rather than the perception being that we're selling senior players and replacing them with academy players?
  17. pickering was very steady today, would be an enormously stupid decision to offload him imo
  18. I don't know what Rovers' budget is. I wish I did. I think he will be back with signings he wants, so we will see by the end of January window if I am right or wrong. If we can bring in 3 quality players ideally 2 permanent signings then I can say with certainly he has been backed. If we look for only promising young players(unde4r 21) then I don't think that should be our only focus. I don't mind we add the odd young player in January tho
  19. Doherty is with the U21s, left footed winger, not out on loan
  20. The crowd today. Exceptionally sparse. Id say about 7k.
  21. An Owner who is taking them down and destroying their Club..sound familiar?
  22. Good result today but just because we have won someone who wants the best for our club is a ‘clout chaser’ 🤦‍♂️
  23. Feed Gudjohnsen, decent balls in the box, and he will score. We've been poor at putting decent balls in the box, but we're improving.
  24. If you mean O'Riordan, he is a centre back. Not an academy player. we signed him from Crewe
  25. We also have a young Irish striker Oriadan (pardon the spelling) i think hes out on loan. Were 6pts clear of the drop zone, with a game in hand before the Christmas games. Rovers supporters can sleep a bit easier for once.
