  1. Past hour
  2. Pretty terrible human being, but an integral part of wrestling's two biggest boom periods. It's a shame that his personality ultimately ruined his legacy. It is what it is. I suppose he wasn't as bad as Vince, at least.
  3. Less whatever we paid him for 12 months not to play on his improved deal. Dress it up how you like, getting c£2m for a player who was being touted as an eventual £25m or £30m star wasn't a good deal. Wonder if we bothered to negotiate a sell on clause? That won't be much cop either if he goes to a Championship Club.
  4. Why are we not on Zefi baffles me ...... we lost out on POKU but....common gestede....
  5. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder but I reckon Cantwell fancies himself as a 10
  6. Limited info at the moment, but it appears Hulk Hogan has passed away. Somewhat chequered legacy to say the least, but wrestling doesn’t get where it is today without him.
  7. Petition to stop calling players a ‘6’ or an ‘8’, as this isn’t rugby union.
  8. Well i'm sure some do dream of playing for Plymouth and Stoke on loan 🤨
  9. If they decide it's not more preferable. They may wish to be raised at one club, not farmed around for a few years and never have settled development, or used as a body for a youth team. Especially at a young age, gallivanting around the country away from family may not be what they want. Whether we think it makes sense or not isn't important, players have their own personalities and aims. Higgins is also a Rovers fan. Also, Phillips and Wharton signed on at stages they could have gone elsewhere. They left later, but they did stick around with interest. Eze also signed a new deal with massive Italian clubs lurking.
  10. Tbh as much as he did great work to get to that point, I don't see that going in against most Championship keepers very often. The goalkeeping was weak.
  11. Today
  12. Which is fine but that’s wasn’t the discussion we were having.
  13. It’s early days yet but if the next four are of the same pedigree as the first four colour me - un excited.
  14. Not really cos it’s not relevant. None of that means there isn’t any money for transfers. We’ve already signed 4. We want 4 more. Most will be permanent signings involving an outlay just as the first 4 were.
  15. Broughtons fault? Go figure. Greg had nothing to do with the purse strings staying pulled shut tight did he?
  16. I don't think it had anything to do with dreams, just money in the short term.
  17. Even as a young player he’d got that time on the ball and the ability to get his head up and see the full picture that tells you - this lad’s a good ‘un. He could be whatever he wants to be.
  18. Yeah, watching him play at right back tells me he’s more suited to the short passing, harrying game of a central midfield player. When he got into good crossing positions he didn’t trust himself to put a good ball in. He’d only be a stop gap/emergency right back for me. As you say - like Travis is/was.
  19. I'm tired of this topic now, but after their rash of injuries they preferred Gray (a younger player who's a CM) over him at CB. So I don't think he's even on the radar for their first team.
  20. The writing off of the women’s team was a bit of a clue. Not renewing the contracts of key players. Setting the 10 k cap for new signings. Shall I go on ?
