I missed this post earlier but I don’t know if that is the only benefit is the truth. Everybody knows they have lost money, the accounting principles are just an aside. The VH Group must just be ok with it. The only alternatives are that they genuine believe they can get promotion and then pay themselves a whopping amount back, or they think somebody somewhere is daft enough to pay it when purchasing the club. I just don’t understand why they do own us. Really I don’t. It’s absolutely true that wiping the debt will lower the value of VH Group as a whole. Whether that is actually felt is another matter. And given that BRFC is loss making, any recent investment in Venkys will have already factored that in. It is hardly an overnight thing Cash flow is what matters most. The accounting principles are just that - principles. So long as Venkys pay the bills and remain solvent, and so long as they continue to affirm commitments to the EFL that loans will not be recalled or interest applied, then this situation can really be forever. There’ll be a limit to the debt that the EFL will accept. Maybe that conversation has been had Theres no transparency in accounts really. We can talk of the rules but the numbers really show what the group wants you to see. Call me cynical but it’s my opinion Cash flow is the way to hurt Venkys. Being billionaires, that’s a tough ask

Venky’s (& Suhail) Out Protest Ideas

It's something that just doesn't resonate with the outsiders running and owning the club. Just look at the PNE ticket prices for a start, they really don't deserve support pulling the strokes they do in a town like this. -

Ultimately we need to build up to a boycott of season tickets, although this could well happen naturally.

Looks like I was wrong with my posts earlier today, thank you to those who corrected me.

The January 2026 Transfer Window

Wonder how stubborn Ismael will be with the formation he stumbled upon. We can easily play four at the back with Alebiosu given the license to go forward and the left back more defensively oriented like Cashin, Ribeiro or Pickering. Then Cantwell can play from the left, or Jørgensen. Priority has to be striker. -

They're buying players for L1. He would be the next Richie Smallwood. -

Bailey sounds like a decent signing, though presumably a downgrade on Tronstad. I still have hopes for Garrett as a DM, he looked so good under JDT but injuries have been an issue for his progress. Cleary was always a non-starter once the 5 mil tag was set, even prior to injury, but as others say a ready made excuse. I would hope to bring in two players before deadline, even for us. Striker on a permanent and maybe a wing-back on loan if we can swing a deal like Cashin somewhere. - Today

Club sources have shot that claim down apparently. Barca can't afford him right now.

We aren’t getting both I don’t think and if we are to only get one through the door for me it has to be a striker but I agree we need both -

A left wing back is essential, not an if we have room situation. We dont have a player suited/good enough to play that role. Whereas if we want to play 4231, we are 2 or 3 wingers short. -

Yes had a quick look there 27 seems highly thought of there at Doncaster (scored tonight) could well be a nice pick up but again for what we need ‘now’ I’m not sure how/why this should be considered a number 9 should be the sole focus and if there’s room let’s say Ribiero/pickering both go then a lwb -

You have to assume that's for when Tronstad goes if true. 9 goals 2 assists in 27 games is highly prolific for a DM. Not sure if he takes their penalties or something. 7 yellows and a red too. Has apparently played RB twice this season, in one of those he scored 2. 5 of his 7 league goals were score before September was over. Has also played CM a lot and AM at times according to transfermarkt. In fact only 6 games were at DM they say. And 3 games at CB, which were all quite recently. Just turned 27. -
