I think you are deluding yourself here, did you actually watch the video properly and listen to what was said? The plan wasn't the get rid of the core of a team that had just finished 7th. They claim they offered all those players contracts so if we believe that to be true they couldn't have decided that squad had hit a ceiling and they wanted to try something different. The players left because they didn't offer them good enough contracts, including some that were offered exactly the same terms they were on, as I think Rudy said. There were no deeper issues exposed. What you wrote is sadly nonsense. I do hope the likes of Mori and Gudjohnsen and even perhaps Baradji come good but what has happened has happened primarily because it saves money, there is no doubt about that.

Interesting you say that. It seemed to me that during the last home game there wasn't much of one -just tended to drop to half way. Also, it seemed a little half-hearted but definitely improved in the second half as did energy levels.

Gestede comes across as a highly unlikeable person indeed but make no mistake about it suhail pasha is the main problem always has been and will always continue to be so long as venkys continue to employ him

It is one hell of a good argument, if the worst happens and we get relegated. All the other teams got stronger, as well as us but they got even stronger than us. It was a much stronger league overall and as we over achieved last season, it wasn't our fault that we under achieved this season and went down. Next.

The wage budget has been cut. This isn’t any kind of alternative master plan. It’s simply the only thing that’s left open to Gestede and company. If they were to say that they couldn’t continue funding the club at the previous levels then we would all have to accept it. Konsa has to keep his place. Livramento looks the best left-back option. He's very good defensively and got a good engine. On the left I'd like Grealish but the pace of Gordon is a good foil for kane. I think the shirt is anderson's to lose now though I think Wharton could easily do a good job. I agree with your certain to start list, it's how to fill the rest that will cause no end of debate. In central defence Konsa is probably the favourite. He's always played well for England. Burn should be binned. Colwill won't be fit in time. Stones has been creaky but is a class act if fit. Chalobah? Another who Tuchel knows from his Chelsea days. Who else? Left back has options without any of them being at Ashley Cole's level. I'd prefer someone who is left footed so Hall, Lewis-Skelly, Tyrick Mitchell, and at a stretch Luke Shaw. Although he may not be a regular for a dodgy Man U team that plays a back 3. Everyone on this board wants Adam Wharton in central midfield but his injury record is hurting him. Anderson did well but is new. Henderson may get a squad spot but isn't suited to a holding position. Angel Gomes has disappeared started games under Carsley. Gibbs-White, Rogers, Curtis Jones play further forward. Left wing will be difficult. Rashford has so much talent but has had a wayward year or so. If he stars for Barcelona he has a shot. Grealish has a chance to be the man man at Everton. He's started well. Foden is probably on the outs. He is a bit of a John Barnes for England and has also had a disjointed 12 months. Eze will be playing champs league this year which will help him. Can Cole Palmer play there? As I'm writing I realised that Arsenal have Saka, Madueke, Eze, Nwaneri, and now the young lad Dowman (who by all accounts is a star in the making). All of them could play on either flank.

Because other teams get stronger, too. We probably overacheived last season as well.
