One of the best teams in the country during in the 1910s, the 1950s and 60s, one of the best teams around in the 1990s. But that's not our natural position, we should be accepting mediocrity? We should be grateful to be scrapping round the bottom of the second division, that's our natural level? No thanks. Small unfashionable town maybe but a football club that has some incredible history and records that 90% of other clubs would kill for. We need an Armstrong like striker that has some pace and stretch the field. The counter style with the 4-2-3-1 is the way but need to get some pace in the team badly.

I just don't know who people are expecting us to beat to get ourselves out of trouble. We've already proven we can't beat the teams around us - we have literally not taken three points from any of them. The idea that we'll somehow beat the better teams in the league to stay up seems very fanciful. We may get the odd shock win and some draws here and there, but that isn't going to be enough. We looked utterly doomed as things stand.

It's ridiculous, really. Granted Mowbray had some similar shocking runs of form, but he had some credit in the bank from our promotion season and more generally keeping us in and around the top half most of the time. It always turned around eventually, albeit usually too late for us to get into the top six. It was infuriating in its own way, but for a club that seemingly just wants to hang around the Championship forever, it was understandable that they'd trust him to eventually reverse the nosedive for a while. Ismael has none of this. He tanked our playoff chances last season from the moment he stepped in the door. His record this season is appalling. Our home record especially is pathetic. His pre-Rovers record largely reads as "gets found out after less than a year and leaves". There is zero reason to believe he'll turn anything around, even after the mythical injury apocalypse clears up (if it ever does).

I’d take a league one club if the people running it treated the fans, the employees and the club with respect. But the current club treats the fans with no respect, they treat the fans forum and the trust with no respect. The treatment of the women’s team was a national outrage, not so much becausd they didn’t want to spend the money but the lack of information and support the players were given. How many long standing employees have left under the recent ‘management’? There too many rumours around for some of it not to stick. We used to have our heritage on the walls of the ground, both inside and outside. It was removed and discarded as trash. Brockhall land sale, payday loans, transfer deadline mess ups, 150th anniversary mess ups. You cant look at the club as it’s been in the last few years and be proud of it. It’s embarrassing. Whilst I definitely agree that Ohashi has been run in the ground and it will affect his wider game, I don't think it's the reason he's missed some absolutely glaring opportunities. I just don't think he's a hugely composed finisher. He can score some solid goals, just not consistently. With that said, I also don't think being an out-and-out striker is his best role. If he was playing across the forward line, scoring 7-10 a season whilst we had a proper striker up top converting chances more regularly, it wouldn't be an issue. I actually think we were starting to see that with the Gudjohnsen/Ohashi partnership before Gudjohnsen got injured.

Well I got most of the team right sorta. He had to change formation. Cashin did very well at Lb, I like him, solid and good in air for being sub 6ft. Ohashi has to score that. Just has too. Big hole at striker position and Morishita was woeful too. Watford only played for first 25mins. Game was there for us. Dare say I have a little optimism going forward now, with the return of some of our better players. Poor Doherty as well, lad looks like he won a prize, couldn’t control the ball.

I'm the fourth generation of my family to support the club. From the stories I've heard, even going in the "dark days of the Third Division" with 3,000 on at Ewood had more fun than this monotony. It was a community and you laughed at Ken Beamish booting it into the Blackburn End again. Your expectations were low, but it was a good day out. This modern iteration is just a hollowed out husk with no sense of anything but what was. How is going to a ground with no atmosphere that's not even 30% full 'fun'!?

Why do all the other Championship owners cover losses? Championship clubs spend more than they bring in, its just how it is. Also, if you think that Venkys sacked Allardyce because of the fans then you are the one that needs to get real. But yes, people are just annoyed that Venkys dont turn up "enough" (one way of putting it) waving pom poms. Have some standards.
