  1. Past hour
  2. Its probably a bit early to judge. Everyone banging on about how bad De Neve is but he's turned out to look pretty handy. Henricksson like everyone deserves a bit of time
  3. He commits stupid fouls though. In the opponents half with the opponent going nowhere. He needs to learn where and when you need to commit fouls on the pitch. He got away without a booking after the first bad foul. However he carried on like that had never happened. You’ve got save the fouls that lead to bookings for game influencing moments, you can’t just toss them away like he does. It’s like he’s playing 30 or 40 years ago when tackles like that were perfectly ok. I like players who’ll put a foot in but it has to be tempered with football intelligence.
  4. After watching highlights of our win I cast an eye over the Bristol City defeat at Stoke. Bristol certainly like to strike the ball hard from outside the box which was dumb against a keeper of Johansson quality. Their consolation was a nearly undefendable near post back flicked corner. One Stoke goal was a keeper howler but generally Bristol City defended like statues. Pace and pressure up front needed from us on Tuesday to get in amongst those Ashton Gate defenders.
  5. Today
  6. Yeah he easily starts ahead of Henriksson in this current line-up
  7. I think he enjoys being a nuisance, problem is he gets booked too soon. By no means a great player but I think he'll come good.
  8. The player he skinned for the assist was left back Victor Kristiansen who Leicester signed for £17 million and he got nowhere near him.
  9. Not sure what to make of the fact that Cantwell has been one of our better players this season but we couldn’t win with him in the team, soon as he injured its back to back wins 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏻‍♂️ does he walk straight back in when fit again??
  10. Szmodics was a bit part player 1st season though, and even before that he had shown he had a knack for a goal. I just haven’t seen anything from henriksson, doesn’t look particularly fast, physical but clumsy physical, and then with the ball it’s heavy touches, misplaced passes and poor shooting… I mean that sheff Utd og was horrendous and was the catalyst for that collapse id love to be proven wrong and I’m here for it but I’m really not seeing much thus far
  11. I cant refuse to accept a viewpoint that hasnt been explained.
  12. I would expect it to be on sale this week TBH…perhaps Wednesday ?
  13. Increased to 29.62% since the above post…
  14. It just occurred to me that the rumoured 4th kit still hasn't been announced which surely means, with less than a week to go, it isn't going to exist now?
  15. he picks up stupid fouls because he is`nt good enough to read the game,he`s got no awareness, hence he jumps into tackles because he`s a yard behind the play
  16. “ Dog chasing a crisp packet across a pub car park on a windy day “ comes to mind.
  17. I wouldn’t say he has a better crosser than Brittain. That was the real strong point in Brittain’s game. However Alebioso is better in every other regard. Could you see Brittain having the pace and strength to create our second goal ?
  18. He's said as much himself, that he's not the best footballer but I think if he learns not to be stupid aggressive, and gets used to the league, he'll be a useful squad player. We'll see...
  19. Are you not placing much hope on him having an improvement in his second season to rival that of Szmodics? 😉
  20. Not convinced at all with that assessment , headless chicken comes to mind for me , I haven’t seen anything positive so far
  21. Henriksson is fan favourite material, just needs to tone down his aggression a tad to avoid getting booked so early. I see him as a type of player that once he starts scoring he will bang in quite a few - I predicted a goal and a yellow from him today, unfortunately only the latter I was 100% sure about 😄

  23. It's a long time since I've enjoyed such an away win...... in fact probably the last time at the Kingpower! Some observations Leicester were woeful overall and I can't see the manager lasting long. Their fans were virtually silent through the whole game. Having said that they could / should have scored 2 in the first half with better crosses and finishing. The save by Toth was one of the best I've seen by a Rovers goalie The Icelandic lad has a nose for goal and I think he's going to score alot of goals for us. However he needs extra work in the afternoons on the training ground working on playing with his back to goal and link-up play. Is Danny Graham around to do some coaching? Dare I say it but the right back is probably an upgrade on Brittain? I wish Brittain were still here but the new lad offers so much more and is a better defender too. Other standouts were Wharton, who was a rock in defence ( I just hope he stays fit), the goalkeeper, who never put a foot wrong, and the manager, who got his subs and tactics just right On the downside, Henriksson (sp?) and Gardner struggled for me and gave the ball away far too often and McLoughlin is not a left back. Their number 7 gave him a torrid first half. De Neve is an odd one, physically he looks and runs like an amateur playing in the professional game but was surprisngly effective going forward. He was unlucky to be subbed but bringing on Hedges to nullify the No 7 was the right decision Great day, and credit to the fans too, who never stopped singing. Just like being in a German league ground. As for Leicester, who cares? We know what it's like to go home depressed after a miserable home performance
  24. Is he in our best 11 ? I sincerely hope not.
