We've lost Gudjonson and Alebiosu since he came back, which obviously hasn't helped . Morishita has been really missed for the last 2 as well.

Who cares what he posted on social media? FFS, footballers are just normal people outside the pitch. Todd Cantwell is the least our problems and what he needs his movement ahead of him from our forwards. he is clearly playing whilst carrying an injury last couple of games. It was only a few weeks ago, people on here had conspiracy theory he wasn't playing cos of a possible clause saying Rovers had to pay money for him reaching 50 appearances. Look how that turn out

I've wavered but I think, given the paucity of quality in the squad, the injuries and the lack of both money and capability in our player acquisition team, we're nailed on. Look at it this way, last season we were vying for play offs and in one window they cost us what, 15 places? They have neither the ability nor the desire to improve our playing squad. Fucked, lads.

Thanks for that, appreciate it. I wondered when watching today if Cantwell was over inflated in my head, we seemed to do okay results wise when he was missing from my memory. The stats certainly do appear to not have him as a game changer. For me, the best thing is that Tronstad agrees a deal for somebody for next season so his future is sorted for him and his family, and he can give his all for Rovers until the end of the season.

I completely agree with what Gav is saying above (which isn’t something I say often 😅). But, he really has been poor lately. There’s a time and a place for the flicks and the fancy stuff and he seems to make the wrong call on when to do them.

Cantwell is a quality player surrounded by absolute dross. So much so, he’s trying to do far too much on his own to make things happen and it’s not working for him, the manager should be in his ear. This squad has far more pressing issues than Cantwell, we are lucky to have him.

Not a lot of difference when Cantwell plays or not. Tronstad is more noticeable.

Nowhere near as good as he thinks or is or his reputation. But in this squad he is still one of the best players we have got and valuable in the situation we are in.

Players like Hedges/Mcloughlin/Ohashi/Morishita/Ribeiro/Miller/Pears/Baradji are players that, at a well run club, would be competing for a place on the bench. At best starting the odd game in a crisis. Players like Henrikson, Gueye, DeNeve, Forshaw, Tavares, Kargbo wouldn't have been brought in at all. Our squad has been so downgraded that the former are the first names on the team sheet. That there is nothing any better in the squad to replacement is a damning indictment of where we are at.

If you look at VI's record it certainly reeks of being fond of payoffs he's like a poundland Mourinho. Also the length of his deal whiffs as well and i wonder who it would be divi'd up between should it get paid out !

Would be my guess I don't think he would mind being sacked (and the resulting payoff), but until that happens, he is "fully aligned" to enough of an extent as to not kick up too much of a fuss. If that changes, and Ismael turns into the next JDT/Eustace, then our glorious leadership have reached new depths

Just thinking about the line-ups and the performances this week. Does anyone think VI might be daring the club to sack him? So he can get his final pay packet and retire? I know the squad is bereft, but starting the exact same line-up today as we had on Monday and expecting anything different seemed a bizarre decision. I wonder whether he's doing it to prove a point about needing signings, or signalling that he has given up and run out of ideas.

Agree. He does alot of ineffectual fancy flicks and pointless passes. He never affects games

I've seen enough in the last two games to hope he is off in January. Not fit to be captain of this club, or any club to be honest. His performances and attitude are nowhere near the standard I expect at Ewood Park. He spends all week posting rubbish on social media. I wouldn't care if he was playing well, but he's been here ages and you can count on one hand the number of good performances. He's a waste of money, never a leader, petulant, and definitely not who you want in a relegation battle. Maktar Gueye is a poor footballer, but Cantwell had some gall taking the mick out of him on Sky Sports the other week over his skill level. Haven't seen Cantwell do anything useful for this team for quite some time. People in glass houses, etc. Time to go I reckon, Todd.

Wrexham were decent and were without Moore, Broadhead and Windass and won’t earn an easier 3 points all season.
