  1. Past hour
  2. Any news seems to have fizzled out on Miyoshi
  3. Here is the link to the article: https://www.sportsboom.co.uk/football/transfer-news/exclusive-captain-lewis-travis-nearing-blackburn-exit-derby-leading-the-chase EXCLUSIVE my ass The following summer the club rejected a bid from Millwall for Travis before a short-term loan deal in 2024 saw him help Ipswich Town return to the Premier League for the first time in over two decades. Travis helped Town to the return to premier league.....
  4. The thing is, even seasoned Championship players looked lost in that game. Lots of huffs and puffs and low quality on the ball. Mostly when he got the ball he did something with. Nothing spectacular per ce, but played one two with Ribeiro and in line with the GAIS supporters he looked to think forwards instead of just going back (which would be the easy thing to do). He also did some defensive duties and one time held off, think it was Heggebø from getting the ball. He also came close from getting a shot in, arriving in the box for De Neves cross and I think he got a header on goal.
  5. 79 per cent reduction in quarterly profit for June 30 figures due shrinking chicken business
  6. This account chats shit I think, as I can never find there sources they link. But here we go
  7. Yep (for as long as we’re in The Championship). I guess the idea is to reward club’s for giving youth a chance - but you’d have thought they’d have set that chance a bit higher than a minute! Youth player for this season is anyone born on or before 1st January 2004.
  8. I mean fair play for nailing your colours to the mast. It was only his first game, the team were not playing well in general and on paper he looks a very good signing. The fans of the club he signed from sing his praises and his highlight reel looks good. Hopefully he will prove to be a welcome addition. But watching the game if you had told me we had signed some big journeyman from the National League I'd have believed you. He looked lost.
  9. Yes, I mentioned he’d be an exception panels case yesterday but omitted to do so this time - my mistake. I’m not sure whether he’d get through that way as the regulations are very subjective on this - all they say is it must be demonstrated that the player only failed to get to 15 points because of ‘exceptional circumstances’. There’s also the £5,000 + VAT fee the club would need to pay (up front) which needs to be considered - would Pasha sign off on that????
  10. I would say a better way would be to pick Travis for the Bradford game, and see if he plays and cup ties himself.
  11. So even though he would have already made his senior debut for us, he could make it again in a sense, in the league? That's a bit better. This whole thing also means we can sign anyone under (what age?) play them off the bench for a minute in the league and automatically qualify them. Silly stuff. The only limit is how many slots we have free at the time to do so.
  12. ‘As far as he was aware David Lowe hadn’t left’. The longest standing first team coach at the club and he may still be clocking in to Brockhall, might not be. Best peer down from the Directors Box to the dug-out on Saturday to check. Some set-up this.
  13. Or we could just go to the appeals board. I'd be surprised if we couldn't get it through, for reasons I outlined in more detail 2 pages back. I'm certain he's been reading, or somebody has fed the notion back to him who has been reading here. He isn't a good enough journalist to think of it himself and look into the regs thoroughly.
  14. No, the points are only awarded for a league debut. Any minutes in the cup are irrelevant.
  15. So, if he played a minute in the cup, then played the full match at the weekend in the league, we would only get the points from him making his debut in the cup? This is honestly such a stupid system they've put together 😂 (I know the minutes are irrelevant btw, just emphasising how silly it is)
  16. The Club happy to confirm that the only purpose behind our existence is to be a 'financially sustainable' 2nd division club with a mere 'aspiration' of ever getting to the PL, whilst at the same time claiming to have recently secured circa £20 million of cash from the owners, not to invest and improve the club but just to keep the lights on. Something going wrong somewhere then on this particular plan.
  17. I have rewatched the full game from Saturday. Axel Henriksson will be a very good signing. Not afraid to get stuck in, physical ready for the Championshipm vision and got a cross in him. I would have taken of Hedges instead of him an played him in Hedges position. Alebiosu. Will also end up as a very good signing. Took on his man several times and looked okay defensively. Had an eager about him to get to the byline for a cross. Not the best communication with Hedges. If he was fully fit I would play him together with Miller instead of Hedges. Miller. Will also be a good signing. Fits the Championship attributes well. Came to a goalscoring opportunity on a crosser and isn't afraid to get stuck in. Has decent pace. Tavares didn't see enough to judge. Hopefully see more of him tomorrow.
  18. For those that still haven't read this either, here are the version of the minutes, with the points in that the club decided to amend or delete.
  19. Our League One (17-18) turnover was £9 million with the following reductions vs the relegation (£14.9 million) year: £0.5 million match day income £4.8 million media income £0.6 million commercial and other income. Wage bill went from £22 million to £16.8 million.
  20. The drop off in TV money etc is huge. I don't think it would suit them. According to this article Payments for being in the Championship (TV, Solidarity payments etc) = £9.5M to £12M Payments for being in League One (TV, Solidarity payments etc) = £2M to £2.4M https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/cost-relegation-championship-league-one-31486100
  21. @Mike E can we post this on X and publish to the BRFCs website? Or nah
  22. For these that still haven't read them, here is the set of minutes the club are happy with.
  23. Chief Venky Stooge will be able to go back to Pune every few months and tell them that despite the disappointment of relegation to League One we've managed to get the wage bill down by £x million, losses down from £20 million a year to significantly less, and although attendances have dropped again not by that many as we were down to the hardcore to start with. The only worry they'll have on this front will be a sizeable drop in away followings to milk and a weaker position to command commercial/sponsorship deals. I'm sure they'll find a way to make it work as they always do. He's delivered one relegation already and very nearly on another couple of occasions so clearly the prospect of dropping into League One isn't one that overly concerns them.
  24. You’re making the mistake of thinking they actually give a fuck. The chicken chokers exist in a parallel universe to the rest of us. The normal rules don’t apply.
  25. And before you know it we’ll be back playing Oldham and Rochdale.
