Me too, it was the first game after the big freeze in 1963. Fred Pickering had got married that Saturday morning and both teams gave him a guard of honour when they came out. They really gifted Fred a goal later on. We’d been on the attack and it broke down with the Utd goalie getting the ball in his hands. He threw it out to Albert Quixall about 30 yards from goal. As he did that Fred was crouching down tying his boot lace. Quixall got the ball under control but he was quickly closed down, so he turned around and passed the ball back to the keeper, just as Fred stood back up ! The ball went straight to him and he just turned and banged the ball past the keeper into the back of the net. Matt Woods, Denis Law, Fred Else and John Bray in the photo.

We tried to start something a few years ago using material supplied by Harry Berry but changes in personnel in BRFCS Towers slowed it down then a software upgrade killed it off completely. We have the technical capability to resurrect it…just needs contributors… Rob Sawyer has been on our podcast. His mum was a Rovers fan from Blackburn. We’re his 2nd team. He wrote a book on Keith Newton a while back.

We had two players suspended (Kargbo and Gudjohnsen) so they came back earlier than normal which is good for us. "A couple will be back today and tomorrow so everyone will be available for the final session on Friday. "Some players have come back from an injury and got some minutes like Adam Forshaw, he played 45 minutes against Burnley which is good. “It’s good to have him back, but he is focused on himself and trying to get that stability now to train with consistency to be able to help us on and off the pitch. "Moussa Baradji is making progress as well. My expectation is he will be fit after the next international break. Hopefully, we will get the schedule right. It looks good at the minute, we assess week by week, and this is my expectation. "If you believe in a player, you see the quality, it's a question of time. In the long run, everyone will enjoy him. He's a northern lad, isn't he? Surely he can't live that far from the training ground. Maybe the type of car he's driving? His diet / lifestyle? Hard to read any specifics from VI's comments, there.

Its a fair point but Anderson impress Tuchel in the under 21 tournament. Guehi is a top centre back. Would like to ask Tuchel why he isn't picking Wharton in the squad?

Guehi is a regular playing for the same team and Anderson isnt at a bigger club so im not sure it is that.

For me Wharton, Rice and Anderson would be a great midfield three.. Rapid wingers, Kane up top with Palmer/Bellingham behind.. I'd play 3-5-2 to accommodate.
