  1. Past hour
  2. I agree. He was asked a straight question and he gave a straight answer. Thatโ€™s not โ€œ throwing anybody under the busโ€ , itโ€™s simply telling the truth.
  3. Sorry, think I have misunderstood. I thought your post in quotation marks was VI -ie gobbledegook. Don't think there has been a post of yours I have disagreed with. ๐Ÿ™‚
  4. I agree. It's far from the first thing I'd be lining up to criticise VI for, I reckon he may well turn out to be one of our worst ever managers which is far more relevant. However If negotiations have been going on in private behind the scenes then for him to unilaterally announce this without the permission of the Travis camp then it's pretty poor form. Then of course, there's the possibility that Derby won't meet our valuation anyway in which case VI will have besmirched Travis's reputation in the eyes of the supporters for no good reason. It comes across as though he is acting to instruction and trying to ensure Travis leaves.
  5. Donโ€™t want to say I told you soโ€ฆโ€ฆ.but
  6. That's down to the recruitment department .
  7. Birmingham fan here in peace. I can understand the negative attitude amongst your fanbase, however you can take comfort that we don't have a great record at your place. Our last win there came in December 2013, but that is our only win in our last 30 league and cup visits to Ewood Park, dating back to January1968. Oh and no league double over you since 1950/51. I'm going 1-1.
  8. Iโ€™ve been Venkies out since they sacked Big Sam. They obviously had a death wish for the club even then.
  9. Mowbray represents the ONLY successful period in the Venky reign of the last 15 years that's why he is getting one. Even then we had to go to league 1 first but he stopped things getting instantly worse at the time so they should be eternally grateful.
  10. He's shown signs of frustration at historic failings. This is now where we find out if they're all on the same page going forward. It's the reason I've been saying for months that the most important thing at the club is that Ismael and Gestede are aligned in what's happening.
  11. In bold - 100% correct. Whatever reasons Val had, for me, it should not of been said.
  12. Didnโ€™t realise someone would quote me 20 seconds after I posted before I proof read it.
  13. Suspect VI is trying to pressure Derby by making the situation public.
  14. But what will you be saying if the replacements (if there actually is any) are more cheap foreign imports and it leads us to being relegated. When we start next campaign in League One will you be rubbing your hands together and saying well at least we got ยฃ2 million for our captain and 500k for our most experienced defender? Your point is valid at most clubs who would use the majority of these fees on replacements of a decent standard. We don't do that here
  15. Ismael didn't need to say that Travis has asked to leave. He could simply have batted off questions and limited his talk to the dismal defeat to Bradford. As I said earlier, he's either an idiot and said it without thinking of the impact it could have on the player and fanbase, or he's complicit in the Regime's cover-up operation which has been gaining a lot of momentum the last few days. The Regime knows that eyes are on them and pressure is building. Turning the focus on 'wantaway' players and feeding Jackson sob stories about 'lifechanging' offers from Derby all part of that
  16. As regards Vi's comments about Tyjon and Montgomery being viewed as first team squad players wouldn't people say that Leonard looks a better option at this point? (Not that either are satisfactory.) I suppose Leonard hasnt got Arsenal allegedly lined up waiting to pay ยฃ1m for him.
  17. He was asked Travis response to the bid from Derby and he responded by saying that Travis has asked to leave. He has said numerous times the contract situation isn't good. And to be fair he doesn't dictate how much or little we offer our players. The anger and criticism should be aimed at those above and the owners the actual people who are coming to these decisions over when we start negotiations over new contracts and how much we are offering established players. Ismael was asked a question and he answered it so for me the idea he has thrown Travis under the bus is just a bit silly
  18. โ€œTrav wants to leave because we didnโ€™t offer him a contract when he would have signed, and now myself, Rudy and Pasha are running the ship he doesnโ€™t like our attitude or lack of ambition. Therefore heโ€™s got a better offer we wonโ€™t match so heโ€™s offโ€
  19. Don't agree, but there we have it.
  20. That 1 minute at the end of a cup game was definitely primarily a play to get more money at tribunal.
  21. His intentions are most likely that he is sat on a 3 year deal so not to rock the boat. Nothing sinister beyond that. He has shown signs of frustration already and he will be worn down at some point. They all have been.
  22. I knew that would anger you more than it perhaps should.
  23. I haven't actually seen what Ismael said but I'm guessing he DIDN'T say "Trav wants to leave because we won't pay the going rate for Championship players any more".
