  1. Past hour
  2. I was still in the old Nuttall St stand at the time so I doubt it was.
  3. Like everyone I expected the worst with the massive turnover but still to see any real discernable deterioration compared to last year. Obviously could change when injuries come in etc. But balanced against that we are yet to see much of Gudjonsen and Baradji. Toth alone is a massive upgrade on Pears, and TGH was very decent today. Really like Mori and Alebiouso, McCloughlin.
  4. We played at Leeds Rd Huddersfield 83/84 in a snowstorm and that was worse than today ! But we won 2-0 !
  5. That was actually in the Prem era - around 1993/4.
  6. Me too! I was telling Bill Fox to get the ******* off the pitch!
  7. I do not remember one abandoned , once had an away game abandoned at Luton 75/76 ice bound pitch , New Year game.
  8. It'll be this seasons designated £10 a ticket game....
  9. Very well - a big upgrade on Tavares.
  10. He was alright, a step up from Tavares.
  11. Save that for a different forum.
  12. And them doing ‘Klinsman’s’ in the puddles, I was only a lad but got very angry in the Walkersteel!
  13. So there player won't be punished for a dangerous tackle.... Whay if the tackle had caused an injury
  14. It was hilarious as the only team that was using the wet pitch to slide into the opposition was them. Yet he was moaning to the referee about it being dangerous. Ref should have told him to stop his fucking players from doing it then.
  15. In non rain related news how did the new lad play in the middle?
  16. Nearest to it I can remember was pre Jack Walker, a biblical deluge just before a game against the old Crazy Gang from Wimbledon, Vinnie Jones etc al, which left huge pools of standing water on the pitch and resulted in the game being abandoned with everyone in the ground. No issues at all for years after the New Ewood was built until relatively recently.
  17. It was all a bit shameless and cringy like they'd won the league. They should have celebrated a bit of good fortune quietly as it was a bad performance and they were on their way to another defeat. It all felt a bit desperate from a club you'd expect more of. It's made me think a lot less of McKenna. Where did sportsmanship go?
  18. I wonder if the EFL can find a way to punish us here for not having an adequate pitch 🤣 that's more likely than them giving us a win, they never favour us.
  19. Ah the BBC, someone should ask them why Final Score didn't have a reporter at the Rovers game for the 2nd week running, they are supposed to cover every match in the Championship. Scrap the licence fee I say. They are totally useless organisation these days.
  20. Do matchday ticket holders get free admission to the replayed game?
  21. I don't think it's happened in my lifetime (Prem era onwards).
  22. If he was worried about player danger he'd have had a word with his own players - Hirst tried to break Ribeiro's legs (should have been a straight red) and they were sliding in for challenges all match.
