Vi is totally logical in his summary. Soulless, monotone and uninspiring. Carrick has worked miracles in three days at United. The players clearly enjoyed playing for him. He was available as a championship manager. Shame. Players need to be inspired, Eustace had that about him. Making average players feel better about themselves.

Yep that's the strength of it. He's not even a fire fighter like Eustace or a steady Eddie like TM he had all the cv of a short term unemployed, cheap roll of the dice gaffer. Guys like him are usually short term as his back catalogue suggests but these lot saw fit to give him 3+ years.
