  1. Past hour
  2. If he's better than Toth at 18 he's going to be the next Raya.
  3. If you feel insulted by the odds, pile-on for a Rovers win.
  4. That's from League One to the Championship though. I was talking about the increase in TV money for Championship clubs before the start of last season that you mention. Regarding the figure, I'll be honest, I plucked it from AI because I couldn't be bothered to look thoroughly. It's a little lower than I thought I remembered hearing (which was about 2 mill in my vague memory). But I do remember at the time of the announcement thinking it really wasn't all that much of an improvement all things considered. And if 40 million of sales barely touches the sides, neither will the TV deal sadly, under these clowns. Somehow we always seem to need to cost cut, no matter how much we have and no matter how much extra money appears.
  5. If he's not better than Toth and Pears he's got problems.
  6. Seemingly in the case of Lowe, he STILL hasn't!
  7. There has been refill of ink at Ewood https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25384116.blackburn-rovers-nicolas-michalski-pens-new-long-term-deal/
  8. Dunn tuns 17 before the end of August (if not already). Eze turns 17 in early September
  9. Are we sure that Pasha isn't coaching them, as he got rid of other coaches, so is probably okay to show them how it is done. He is an expert after all, as we saw with his opinion on Adam Wharton and is nobody knew quote.
  10. The Lowe thing surely needs a lot more investigation at the next Forum meeting (if one is ever held) There have been strong anecdotal rumours for years that Lowe has been sacked on more than one occasion and mysteriously reinstated. Now we finally appear to have concrete proof of this in the form of the LT article. VI clearly saying, no hard feelings but it's normal for people to want to bring in their own people etc. Yet somehow it appears he's STILL here. Surely successive managers can't be expected to operate properly if they can't bring in their own choice of staff. They need to be asked why they choose to undermine the manager in this way.
  11. Im not sure that's the case, prior to the League Cup win at least I think they had a sort of gallows humour about their relative lack of success over the years. Same with Citeh fans, most of them aren't too big for their boots to remember they were playing York not that long ago. United fans on the other hand........
  12. Could definitely see Dunn and Eze if they are turning 17 soon. Tyjon I still think that ship has sailed.
  13. Yes the intricate 4 -2 -3 -1 system with players interchanging positions and running across the line that was apparently "clearly" identified during the pre season warm ups didn't seem to work!
  14. Just they think they're bigger than they are
  15. My main take from the opening weekend was that the 3 relegated sides are nowhere near as good as in recent years and certainly won't all be storming the League with 90 + points. And that we have major problems. Terrific summary by the way - well done - hope you keep it up!
  16. It was a but frustrating to not recognize the play style from pre-season. We seemed to lack energy or we were on half distance for way too much of time.
  17. Why do you have a thing about Newcastle? Id rather see them win a few things than the usual suspects - especially Man Ure. I wish when Liverpool had come in for Isaak (sp?) the FFP and PSR rules had permitted them to flex their financial muscle, tell Liverpool to fuck off, and put a Β£250 m counter bid in for Salah on a Β£1m p.w. tax free salary just to piss them off. And then if Salah said yes, pull out at the last minute. Isaak's half way through a long term deal. He'd be grateful for the security of that contract if he picked up a bad injury. If Newcastle dont want to sell that SHOULD be the end of it.
  18. Not saying it will improve (and I share your foreboding) - but we are only one match into the new season, with a number of players to bed in.
  19. He does, although Michalski did have a contract to 2027 before that renewal But yes, I expect we will see a few if the up & coming youngster signed up for as long as possible to show how our contract woes are behind us, at least until they are not πŸ˜‰ What are the chances of Tyjon, Dunn & Silver Eze also within the next month?
  20. Thought it was a lot more than that - someone published a table a while ago from a season or two back where our TV revenue was c Β£8m as opposed to about Β£1.5m the season we were in League 1. There was a massive increase in the TV money for Championship Clubs before the start of last season wasn't there?
  21. Here we go, young lads on the fringes signing new contracts. What contract problem? Montgomery will be next seeing as his deal runs out this summer. (think he might have an option though).
  22. Come off it, there is no plan other than to cut costs as K Hod says. What is V trying to do? Trying to build the most toothless team with the most turgid and least entertaining style of play of all time? There's only one reason we're bringing in cheap "athletic" types from inferior European Leagues - they're cheap.
  23. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/august/12/nick-pens-new-rovers-deal-/
  24. It’s depressing that either of these two would have any say in our transfer dealings. Mental set up at our club
  25. Yes I came here to post this. Aggregating over oddschecker with the most generous odds for each outcome: Rovers win - 2.6 (to 1) Bradford win - 2.9 Draw - 3.55 I mean come on. I know the cup is a leveller, there is the potential for (both sides) to rotate squads and they're in better 'form' in the limited game time so far...but we are a whole league above them and at home. I do think we could potentially slip on a banana skin here, but I'm a bit insulted those are the odds!
  26. Would love to one day, but we are away this week. Another time, yah ☺️
