Yes that's what I was referring to the 1st statement. Unfortunately as I said before I appreciate my grammar is very poor I struggle massively to put commas & full stops in everything. Sorry Glen I wasn't aware of that I think it might have been the first statement I was referring to I know when I've dug myself a big hole stop digging so I will I did think the statement had good substance & the main points were covered sorry -

I’ve never bought the conspiracy angle. They’re just rich kids who have inherited wealth and wanted the kudos of owning a PL club. They got duped by you know who and thought they could invest £5m and get in the champions League every year. Hahaha. They now can’t extricate themselves from the madness as they’ll lose face and practically every penny of the £300m they’ve had to invest to keep the club afloat. Over 15 years it’s still loose change to them but I doubt they’ll sell on the cheap cos it will be again be loss of face. So it just rolls on, the Venky boot stamping on the face of BRFC forever…. Getting rid of Waggott et al will change nothing. -

Negotiated in line with the women's football league. Apparently in such an event, a relegation of at least 2 leagues has to occur. I suppose it avoids the scenario of the club finishing top the following season and being back in the same position i.e. not accepting/being able to comply with promotion. -

Agreed the owners need to go, but perhaps a start would be for one of the family to explain, why they still hold on to the club. Something credible with an explanation behind it, as to how they intend to make it better perhaps, as right now, there is simply no logic in continuing this charade. They cannot continue with the silence and in my opinion, the longer the silence continues, the more suspicious, I will become of some sort of corruption, or third party ownership exists. -

Strange you’re focussed on the symptoms not the disease. The reason the circus exists is because of the owners. Venkys aren’t some benevolent invested owners being held back by shitty operators at Ewood. Venkys are the reason why we have shitty operators at Ewood. The owners need to go now. That should be the only focus. -

It’s a big own goal, by the club, as we already know. One thing that hasn’t been mentioned yet, is the current shirt sponsors, Watson Ramsbottom solicitors, were the ladies shirt sponsors, previously. Doing what they have, especially given the kind gesture by Dakota Biotech, could well have ruined a potential future men’s sponsor. It’s very short term thinking, by the club. I know Elton Ashworth, who negotiated the shirt deal with the club, is a big fan and it was the deal with the ladies shirt sponsorship, that led to the men’s deal, eventually. Perhaps the coalition, will bring this to the attention of the media and maybe, ask the owner of Dakota, to go on record, with his feelings on this being declined, with any reasons given, for it being rejected. -

Nothing wrong with those statements and as someone has said, the post having a dig, was ironic. To put it in perspective, the club release two lines, when announcing the departure of the CEO who served for 8 years. Much as I disliked him, that was a big departure and should have been given more prominence, but thats the nature of the beast. If a couple of capital letters or a missing comma, here and there are made by the coalition, I don’t care a jot, as I’m loving the fight they are fighting. -

I don't have confidence! I've been worried about Trons & Cal leaving since the 3rd whistle blew a month ago.............& it's gonna be a long summer........... Especially if one of the promoted clubs see either as a good, cheap chance to take. I'm simply stating that the article is nothing more than another "blah-blah" piece in this "summer scouting" series Elliott Jackson has come up with to fill time while we wait for real news (good, or more likely BAD) to come. I repeat: the "Brittain transfer ultimatum" is a BS headline to get clicks & subscriptions. - Yesterday

It would be good to get potential buyers to go very public with their interest. Would push venkys into a corner and get the spotlight on them. You don't want to sell, why? For a journalist that's looking for a great story about how a foundational club has been driven into the ground by foreign billionaires there's a literal gold mine here just waiting for them. -

Venkys will never get their alleged £20M a year back. That's money thrown away by incompetence and no new owner will pay that to take over a basket case of a club. The incentive for Venkys is they will get something back,( its a decent stadium after all, with an excellent training ground) and not have to spend any more time or money on a failed project. -

I wonder if we had to convince a league to accept us? We clearly have no intention on trying for promotion, so the league below was well within their rights to tell us to jog on. -

Correct but the money will disappear into paying bills and another good players is gone. We lose players now because they aren't offering favourable terms early enough that much has been clear for a while. We were used to having players poached every now again its always happened but the past few years we are now active sellers, not trader, sellers. -

We're the bargain shelf of the Championship, turn players into premier material at the academy, then along come the other clubs to snap them up at a bargain. -

March 2025 - https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25026507.travis-contract-latest-blackburn-landscape-new-deals/ 'Travis nor his agent has not held any discussions with the Blackburn Rovers board about extending his stay. He is relaxed about the situation though and remains focused on the final eight games of the campaign' "Yeah, of course I would like to stay. I've been here most of my footballing career. But yeah, like I said, no one's said anything to me. "That's football. It is what it is. I think football is football and if it's not here, it'll be elsewhere but I'm not focused on that. April 2025 - https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25098586.sondre-tronstad-makes-blackburn-rovers-contract-admission/ Sondre Tronstad has not held talks over extending his stay at Blackburn Rovers but would be happy to sign a new contract. Tronstad is focused on finishing the season strongly but reiterated that he would be happy to renew his terms at Ewood Park. "Yes, I'd really like to be here. I'd really like to play here in the future and years to come," Tronstad said. "I like the players and fans, the club in general and the league. I would like to stay. I haven't had any talks about a new deal. I'm open for it, really. Can't find the Brittain one, maybe I've imagined that but suspect he's in the same boat despite certain claims suggesting he's close to a new deal here. -

Back when we complained about it we believed part of transfer funds received would be put back into recruitment. Gestede has made it clear that the budget is set and it doesn't go up when we sell a player.Id rather these players stayed for the season and leave on a free if the money received for them just means the owners send less over -

If Britton doesn't sign in the coming weeks be cause of wages sell him if offers are good most people on here giving out that we lose players for free when contracts are run down. If he's sold in the summer because he hasn't signed a new deal the club have done exactly what we've been wanting them to do for years -

Yup asset stripping through negligence. A properly engaged owner with less money would make a huge difference just by planning ahead, making the key decisions at the right time, being creative with resources when needed, building a relationship with the fan base to boost crowds and income. We are always on the back foot unable to plan. -

Yeah agreed on this - makes us feel like we have the whip hand but from the players perspective must make them feel that the club isnt playing fair, just putting off deserved improved contracts. If we are not able to offer competitive deals for established players the only option we have to keep them is offer improved deals early while they look attractive to the player. As soon as we are within 18 months of the contract expiring we are buggered.
