  1. Past hour
  2. Play like that at home and there's no reason we can't beat anyone in our own gaff. Sustain the association form build the hone form and we'll be top 6 in no time. 6 points away from 6th place. 9 points away from 22nd place.
  3. What a splendid night out, well played Rovers. Absolutely terrific backing in the away end, which Ismael rightly pointed out.
  4. Sorry to hear that matey x We put on a good show and raised the roof off Dumpdale 😊
  5. He did well overall but he is so shaky. Made 3 really good stops. The shot in the 2nd minute I thought was going in but he stopped it without putting it on a plate. Goid double save later too thiugh the 2nd stop was if his own doing and a touch fortunate. If you gonna punch make contact. Couple of dicey clearances too and there was their goal he perhaps could have done better. All's well that ends well
  6. Let's see if he's here past January first. If we keep winning more than losing will they back him, will they hell.
  7. If that happens, we will be chucking in Litherland/Atcheson at centre back or Houghton at right wing back (or moving Gardner-Hickman/Montgomery there) Terrifyingly thread bare
  8. Just turned this on. Good grief.
  9. There is always a sense of uncertainty about Pears, pulled off a few good saves mind.
  10. Thoughts are with you and your family Carl. X
  11. Here’s a question… The first role of an opener used to be to see off the new ball. If they’re always just going to ‘go for it’ from ball one is there any reason to use specialists (I use that term lightly in regard to ours!)? Personally I don’t see the point, we might as well just pick the best six batsmen we have and draw lots for what order they bat in.
  12. I was thinking last night why does Yuki get twatted so much, he's always in the wars. I would absolutely hate to play against him though, he doesn't give you a minutes peace all night it's relentless. Pretty sure he gets a stray elbow or a late challenge as a direct result! Morishita to a lesser extent was similar last night, I think being in the same team as Yuki is helping him adapt too, I don't think we've seen anything like the best of him just yet.
  13. Today
  14. Still 9 games to play before the window opens (and probably more before we get deals over the line) We are probably fine everywhere except of course defensively, I honestly don't know what we would do Miller or McLoughlin get injured or suspended. Same goes for Alebiosu. Can't think of the answer in the current squad for those places
  15. Condolences Carl. I noticed you hadn't posted for some time and now I understand why. I'm pleased that last night gave you some despite from your grief.
  16. Still buzzing this morning, you cant beat the feeling of beating another local side on their manor... BUT can we beat QPR at home? 🙃
  17. Sorry to hear that news. Condolences to you and your family
  18. It’s been a very tough 3 weeks for me and my family, having lost a close family member, taken way too soon. I haven’t been able to bring myself to post on here or watch the games, until last night, but this brought a smile to my face for the first time since. Thanks Rovers and RIP Luke. Xx
  19. Away series were never part of the ‘crown jewels’ protected free to air event list, however home series were (until 2005), then the ECB lobbied the government to remove themselves from it so they could make more from subscription TV… and the profile of cricket in this country has only declined since.
  20. I've just seen the 'tackle' on Baradji by Whiteman and how he wasn't sent off is astonishing. It fulfils every criteria for a red card and really should have been picked up in real time. Baradji is a lucky boy. There was an earlier challenge on Tronstad which I thought was a caution but the referee didn't even give a free kick. I'm all for allowing some physicality but even in a lenient mood the referee has a duty to punish bad tackles accordingly. Yuki was on the end of some robust challenges but ironically he was penalised twice for similar challenges that Nobbers defenders were getting away with.
  21. Cant agree I'm afraid. He sets such a low bar with his all round play, that when he does something you'd pretty much expect from a Championship player, it looks better than it is Think he'll be gone in Jan
  22. Watching the highlights Pears pulled off some very good saves in the first half that kept us in the game, though Preston should have scored. Gyuere (sp?) tried to put too much on his header when all he needed to do was glance it. All in all we have to be pleased with that result and we must have one of the best away records in the league. If only we could fix the home form and send the Ewood fans home happy for once
  23. We're never going to have a better reserve keeper than Pears and I thought he did OK. I wouldn't want him as first choice but thank God he wasn't sold by the gamblers who run us (as was their intention.) He isn't Toth but Toth isn't available.
  24. Intentionally went for Baradji. Well into his slide and he adjusted, actually raising his leg to make contact with Baradji. Red Card for me.
